What you slackers on forums don’t realise is that the economy is volatile at the moment due to it being a month after HoT release. The effect of this is that precursor crafting is the new trending fad right now and every casual and their mother is on board with it, causing a dip in prices of TP sold precursors and inflation of mats involved in crafting said precursors.

Give it time to reach steady-state and the TP prices will go up for precursors (as a majority of the pre-crafting heard give up and supply goes back up) such that crafting a precursor will eventually become cheaper than straight out buying it (may be marginally cheaper, depends on how the market values the work that goes into said collections).

The reason why they are expensive and time consuming is because they GUARANTEE you get a precursor. You pay extra (in both time and gold) for this guarantee in order to avoid having to get the precursor using ordinary methods (Mystic forge/drops).

Still don’t understand why people are complaining about precursor crafting, obviously it has to be challenging/expensive in order to maintain (or not affect at all) the prices of tp precursors.

All i see on the forums these days is whine whine whine… my class/profession isn’t in meta please nerf everyone else so i can be #1 player USA/world.

Get a grip, ice bow by itself does not automatically faceroll content it is the synergy between ele skills and the party buffs from other classes which makes them powerful.

If you have any understanding of meta it is rewarding because it is difficult to master given the high emphasis on active defence (correct dodging included) and team synergy. It’s the fact that people have had 3 years to practice this in the same scenarios that makes it the preferred and often default choice for dungeons/pve.

And as someone who hasn’t even done high level fractals your opinions are invalid as you haven’t even encountered the hardest pve content in gw2 at its current state.

All in all, everyone complaining needs to learn to play and understand meta better.

Fixit you don’t understand probability properly, whether you flip said coin 10 times or 1 million times is irrelevant to the probability that you will get heads or tails because each coin toss is an independent event and is not cumulative.

2 precursors from the MF before 1k hours, first from 4 rares and second from 4 dungeon token staves. Both were the legend, don’t think there’s any correlation between time played and getting a pre lol

Seriously given how much money Arena net have to play with it is a no brainer to at least have a testing realm or something along those lines to actually TEST the content before release for obvious reasons…

Here are a few things that are kittened up atm and need fixing ASAP:
1. Teq buff is unwanted, either get rid of that small crit box and make it a large area around the boss or map wide… the current compensation for double hp is just not working…

2. Guardian is OP atm with their SYMBOLIC JUSTICE TRAIT stacking 10% for each symbol…. this goes against your “do whatever the hell you want” ideology because groups are forming requiring this set up and this obviously forces everyone to either play guardian or GTFO.

Now theres obviously a lot more at fault because it’s Arena Net but these are the glaringly obvious ones that I think the developers need to get their heads around.

Honestly as a person who has pre ordered HoT this worries me as the lack of quality/working content is amusing right now
