How exactly do you think the game is going to stay afloat if you deny new players everything? I’d rather have a healthy playerbase than some exclusive pixels. The living story and all the temporary content was a horrible idea.

They should have addressed this issue before even implementing Teq.
This is quite possibly the dumbest post I’ve read to date.
No, Guild Wars 2 does not need more gated content. It needs less.
Limited anything is bad for an MMO as far as I’m concerned. Discourages new blood while offering little in the way of prestige. No, nobody is impressed over somebody shelling out a hundred bucks trying to score a rare weapon skin from the RNG chest.
That said, it probably works wonders for their gem shop.
Only newly obtained skins in select sets are tradable. In the past, we intended those skins to be account-bound and not tradable. After the change, these skins will remain account-bound and not tradable. We will continue to monitor the value of those skins, but at this time, there is no plan to make tradability retroactive.
So let me get this straight. People who kept their tokens which they earned in the past are allowed to get the new tradable skins but everybody who redeemed their token, which they also earned, for skins are now SOL?
… How does that make any sense whatsoever? Are players supposed to rely on complete and utter guesswork to get anywhere in this game now? Fix your kitten issue instead of throwing around excuses. The item clearly does not behave the way it should according to its description. If this is a technical issue which you can’t resolve due to engine limitations or something then just say that.
