I used to spec for limited support/off-healing while maintaining decent DPS. Healing Spring is pretty sweet because you can get 50% uptime with it, and the water combo field is excellent.

Hello! My guild The Dawn Watch is recruiting on Anvil Rock. We are a small (10 man) guild that enjoys the social aspect of the game as well as PVE and WvW content. While we like to play at our best, we don’t view the game as life and generally are casual about it. About half of us are level 70+ and we are looking to round out our class base (we have a high percentage of warriors) and make new friends. We have level two upgrades across the board, a guild bank, and guild armorer. You can PM me for more details. In addition, we use Teamspeak 3 as our primary means of communication.

I’d like to add that about half of us are 70+, but we don’t mind grouping with lower level members if that’s an issue (personally, I love level scaling). Some of us are also leveling alts so there shouldn’t be a dramatic imbalance by any means.

The Dawn Watch is currently seeking active players interested in cracking tough PVE and WvW content. We like to play at the highest level while still maintaining an atmosphere of fun for our members. We are a small guild and don’t have ambitions to grow to humongous proportions. If you enjoy doing dungeon runs, WvW raids, and more in an everyone-knows-everyone atmosphere, we are for you. We use TS3 as our primary means of voice communication, and members are only expected to use it during more difficult content that requires a high degree of coordination.

I’ve been known to put on S&R every now and then on dungeon runs.. A little buggy sometimes, but having that extra body in the fight helps, and stacking the revive will get them up quick especially if you traited into it.

Level 80 Human Ranger

Typical weaponset: Shortbow/Longbow
Skills: Spike Trap, Ice Trap, Quickening Zephyr
Elite: Hounds for general PVE, Entangle for WvW

Pets: Usually bear/arctodus for soloing.

I like to kite and stack bleeds, hence my shortbow and spike trap. The ice gets a combo field on the ground while QZ can help you stack bleeds from Crossfire quickly if you can manage to flank. I’m traited with 30 Skirmishing, 25 Wilderness Survival, and 15 Marksmanship. I have good survivability while being able to max out bleed stacks (25) on single targets if I can keep at their sides. It’s usually rare that enemies get close enough to hit me because I’m traited to give swiftness and fury on weapon swaps + swiftness when I hit with quick shot coupled with the cripples and slows from spike/ice traps. Works pretty well.
