Fix. Necro. CONDIES!

Necros could have more condi removals, staff-4, dagger-4, one with healing, one shout, a well, that pest signet and even a trait to send conditions away. But I guess noone uses that alltogether.

So, the average condi necro applies 15 to 20 stacks if bleeding, better ones maybe a wee but over 30 or short to 40. Thats far away from 75. And you still ignore the massive damage of other classes with spikes of 20000 or above. Some p/p thiefs kill you with one shot, warriors are invulnerable while killing you in 5 secs. So what.

The longer you play the more textures will fail to load. Seems there is a memory leak that the client can’t load all textures with increasing time. And the performance will decrease after 2 or 3 hours of play.

You complain about condi necros, but you are fine with warriors with their immunity, stabi, blocks, heals? Or with druid troll builds that are almost immortal?
All ppl seems to hate necros. But our time will come (soon!)

The game runs now quite smooth, not good, but ok for me on my old iMac. But when I pan the minimap or the normal map, the performance goes down to some underground level with 2 to 5 fps.
That keyboard issue seems to be fine, but let’s wait some more days.

how to make 1 gold a day?

Plus farming that wood in Malchor (WP Pagga, right bottom hand corner, at that Abaddon statue). And the linnen farm spot at Jakka Itzel. You should easily get 5 Gold together with the dailies within 45 mins.
Or, if you’re good in fractals, just do the T4 daily fractals, that should give you at least about 10G

Broken pip rewards

in WvW

Posted by: Galmac.4680

Galmac.4680

Hey,

something is still broken with the pips you earn on the ticks. Noticed that several times that the short handed buff is ignored and you don’t get that extra 5 pips.
Was roaming around for some time, was on rank 6 already, saw the buff symbol and just got too less pips (lacking that buff pips).
And often 3 seconds before the tick the buff disappeared, the tick came and the buff just reappeared.

Something is broken there.

Happend right now in WvW to me, while trying to open the contact window via’Z’, while running. iMac late 2009, newest OSX, Mac 64 bit client. German keyboard layout, Apples bluetooth keyboard.
I never used this autocorrection.

What’s working:
- left and right shift
- left and right alt
- F1 (and maybe more F-keys)
- backspace
- cursor keys

What’s not working
- left crtl
- keys A to Z, 1 to 0, space, ESC

Tried to set new action keys (for example for jumping) in the options, to test if the keyboard is set to something wrong, but no key was recognised as I pressed the non working ones.

The idle animations are great too.

For me it was impossible with my dps revenant. Tried several tactics with kiting or direct damage, but never got him below some 70%.
Then I tried that with my viper necro and just killed him in under 30 seconds. Guess you just need a condition build for this fight.

I bet the answer is “dimishing returns”. In the beginning we wandered around and killed all kinds of enemies, and now with much MF we are just killing just the same kind of mobs again and again.
Had some experience during the old fractal system (3+1 fractals on 10s levels), where different mobs appears, there I had the best loot ever.

Small health bars broken somehow

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Galmac.4680

Since the last patch the small health bars are somehow broken to me:
First, depending on the camera angle to the other character (player, NPC, environment animals, all that lives) the small health bars above the ‘othes’ (below the names) are something between normal to full black, or with black parts inside, striped, with a black to normal color gradient, all kinds.

Second, in WvW I can see those health bars through objects like walls, trees. So in most cases (depending to some camera angle) I know where my target is. Think this is not intended. Alas I does not have a screenshot at the moment.

WvW is almost unplayable with the Mac client.
Returning to the spawn point let you see the loading screen for about 1:20, and if you are near a zerg, you have such lags and stutterings, that you can’t play.

First, thank you very very much for this awesome client! Had to test it on my late2009 iMac!

I also experienced the already mentioned graphical bugs with shaders, freezing texture parts (like shadows) on some camera moving, halos around chars and objects, rendering errors etc.
Once I was afk for like 15mins and the screen turned black (energy savings options), after that I had bad shading effects, perhaps you could look there too. Had to change the graphics options to “best performance” and back to fix that a little.

And there is some more:
1. I own the endless pyro mining pick, and I miss this lava effect including the sound of it. Now it looks and sounds like a normal mining pick.
2. The game started with some too high calculated settings, no problem.
3. Performance: With moderate graphic settings I went to some WvW border lands, with a nice performance. With increasing time (like 2 hours) the performance went to “unplayable”, with lags, stutterings and I had to restart the game. Then all was ok again.
4. In WvW twice I had no player names/tags at all – I wasn’t able to see if someone’s a friend or enemy!
5. Graphics and textures are loading quite slow. Have to wait sometimes to have the environment loaded.
6. Loading screens. Up to 1:20min often. Also if I just port on the same map like returning to the spawn point on the WvW border lands
7. in-game support: Wasn’t able to include screenshots there! Small message “could not create screen shot” (or something like that, it’s a german client)

Really looking forward the first fixes, but so far a very great work!

Lots of computer crashes under MacOS Sierra

Tried that too, but didn’t help. Increasing my computers memory from 4 to 12 GB helped more. Now I just crash once a week.
Support answered me that this is a bug due to an incompatibility from the Mac port via Cider and MacOS Sierra.

Hope the new Mac client will come soon!

Lots of computer crashes under MacOS Sierra

Galmac.4680

Hey all,

since my upgrade of my iMac to the newest MacOS Sierra, I experience lots of computer crashes while playing GW2 (with the Mac Beta Client). It started right with that upgrade before I “just” had some game crashes, but never a whole computer crash, and not that often (between 20mins and 1 hour between).
Alas I don’t know if it’s the fault from GW or some other application combination on my Mac…
Does anybody else have such crashes or am I alone with this problem?

Regards,
Andreas
