So my guild started idly talking about the spinal blade backpieces and somewhat low uses for blade shards and we came up with a possible idea for a slightly new use for blade shards (albeit not much of a sink and more of something people might only craft once or twice). The idea is to craft one of each color Tempered Spinal Blades (Static/Red, Synergetic/Green, Dynamic/Blue), then toss those three into the Mystic Forge with a fourth item (stack of blade shards, Gift of Blades) to make a spinal blade backpiece that cycles through the colors. I’m thinking that it wouldn’t be too hard to add, since the model’s already there (just gotta make a variant that changes colors).
And if I haven’t gotten everyone to reject my idea, I’ll toss out the additional suggestion to make it legendary? You could even complicate the forge recipe by requiring multiple steps and more blade shards. Honestly, I just want the rainbow spinal blade backpiece and maybe a new use for blade shards.
Which color will be Dbl, red? And when will this be implemented? And thanks for the update.
And the question I’m probably the only one who cares about: Does this also mean the removal of one of the Jumping Puzzle achievements? (e.g.: If Red is permanently Desert, will the achievement Garnet Sanctum become retired?)
Not that I’m trying to tear down the idea right away, but what purpose would this serve? ANet would have to make it unusable in WvW, or it defeats the whole purpose of removing crafting stations from WvW in the first place.
Was previewing the armor and noticed this myself. Surprised it hasn’t been fixed in a small patch already (should just need to rename the items, right?). And I’m not sure if it’s a bug, but when previewing certain armors in this set (medium shoulders, for instance), my dyes weren’t carried over. It might just be that the dye slots are different and not an actual bug.
Well, I have a solution. You might not like it, but it’s saved me a ton of trouble on plenty of meta runs or SW chest farms:
Mystic Forge Conduit
You can buy all the ingredients (even the Mystic Coins) on the TP. If you feel like gambling, each component can be found if you get an Unidentifiable Goo-Covered Object from a Destabilized Ectoplasm (any of them). Sure, this isn’t an ideal or cheap solution, but it IS a solution. Just might not be the one you wanted.
On that one, wayyyy to much time showing the ANet emblem and the HoT emblem plus the advertisement to buy HoT as compared to the few seconds of actual teaser.
This. This is also why I’m not a fan of teasers in general (like for movies). I’d much rather have an actual trailer.
I agree with most of these, especially decoration walls that match the Lost Precipice. But as a side note, you can get bank access in the guild hall at the Scribe crafting station. You do not need to be a Scribe or rep the guild to use it.
And inventor’s sunglasses. So 2 out 5 of my requests.
I’ve been slowly making a list of the things I want back, but since Summer’s approaching, I’ll agree that all glasses and sunglasses should come back. So here’s the list of the ones I want back on the gemstore:
Reading Glasses
Wide Rim Glasses
Sport Sunglasses
Aviator Sunglasses
Inventor’s Sunglasses
I will buy all of them and probably end up gifting them to guildies.
I’ve only been playing since October, and I literally just found out about these today. While you can buy them on the TP for cheap, they’re considered costumes now and you can’t dye them. Anet, please make them outfits we can dye.
Once I learned that you can get a Glorious chest once per zone per day in Trib, I’ve been doing every zone daily, even after completing a collection (such as King Toad). So now I’ve got a bunch of useless, extra Trib coins. Can we get a tab on Moto to exchange these for baubles? At this point, I’d be fine with 10 baubles per coin, but would very much prefer a higher amount.
Thoughts?
