LOL, I remember having heroes. I was a rit, and had 2 necros, I had a meatwall with spirts all over the place bombing and killing everything. Wow those were the days. Use to solo underworld with that setup. You could kill everything and anything.
Those were the days.
We need Vabbian Armor from gw1. https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Paragon_Vabbian_armor
Attachment is my attempt at paragon in gw2
Love the Vabbian Armor as well. Would be cool if Anet brought back older skins like that, could you imagine what they would look like now?
I had one slot left, well sence I just preordered the new expansion now I have an extra one. But I went with a Necro, I simply love it. It’s all around good in every aspect of the game. It’s good in PvE, PvP, WvW. I love reaper.
I was going to go with a warrior but I have a guardian. But I have an extra slot now, I may go with a warrior now.
But like people have said, test out the class and see which feels right. That’s the best bet.
I’ve been WvWing from day 1, I love all the aspects of the game, I do 1 per day. 1 day WvW, next day PvP, and then PvE. That’s how I play GW2,
Oh really? Ascended drops? In WvW? O.O wow that’s kinda cool. Is it mats or armor and weapons as well? More reason to enjoy playing
Yea, okay, was thinking that too, Then I can get into WvW, because looks like Reaper is about the only viable trait to go in with. Thanks man.
I only need about 55 more hero points to unlock reaper, what’s a suggested build to use until i fully unlock reapers?
Wow amazing, your melting them like crazy for sure, LOL
Is there a build that I can go by or look at, I just created a Nerco, and looking for a good starter build. I like to group with a zerg, but I also like to roam, and run with small groups.
50/50 for me.
I made a level 80 Necro asura LOL, I had too, could not resist.
It gives you a pretty good idea what there is. I just got a level 80 Necro and trying stuff out.
I really don’t see what the fuss is about, I am well geared, play WvW on a daily basis for fun, and I still am going to play with my guild. So really no loss for me, gives me some thing to work towards, I don’t need it right away.
Ya, I am a causal WvW player, I play when I can. If I get awards fine, if not, no biggie, O love WvW for fun with my guild, and I am pretty well geared as it is, so, If I get cool, if not well, i’ll just have to keep grinding and playing I guess, no loss for me,
After checking my rank I am +7 6445 idk if that’s good or bad? LOL

WOOOOOOOOOW, those are very very cool, well you guys sold me. I love the look of the female asura necro, it’s awesome looking.
Thanks for the ideas guys.
I have one more slot, so I am going with Necro. I will buy more slots but everyone is telling me that necros are fun.
I like casters, my main is ele, and I have a mes, ranger, and guard, which he was really my heavy non caster LOL.
And trying to decide on a race, Asura female my first choice, but what do you guys suggest?
Yea I can’t afford Ascended yet, so i’ll have to stick with Exotikittenil I get enough to craft.
Right now I have all ascended zerk trinkets / accessories / rings, and amulet.
My crafting is up to 414, so I need to get that up. I have about 48 gold so, yea I am a long ways hehehe.
Thanks,
Looking to get a set of Ascended armor, but want it to be all around. I mainly do PvE / WvW maybe some raids in the near.
Any ideas?
He he wow, this post is 3 years old when I asked the question, wow.
Wow, I can keep my D/WH / Staff, nice job anet, Good to see some stuff got a buff.
I don’t know why people complain about it. It’s not really bad, and I enjoy playing the meta over there, and the activities and in return, you get good loot for the most part, and make a lot of gold.
I still play full zerk in all PvE. Sometimes staff and switch to D/W. All gear and trinkets are zerk. Just got to learn to evade and know when to quit and fight.
So far it has worked out very well for me,
I have full trinket zerker set, now I need to get my armor. What’s the best way to obtain my ascended set? I have seen videos, and the stuff you need to gather, but I am looking for a more simple way. Granted I don’t want anything handed to me, and I want to start working for it.
I see fractals and teq is a fast way to get it, but am I better off crafting it then to do run after run after run?
What’s everyone’s thoughts on this?
I feel pretty confident with zerker gear, so I am sticking with that.
Yea I do heck of a lot of dmg no doubt, and I am fine with that. The other night I jumped in and played HoT and actually I survived, I died 2 times I think by a random mob of raptors LOL, but other then that, I seemed fine, what runes would you suggest for full zerker?
I don’t know, but for me, I find it challenging and a lot of it fun. There is always help on the LFG, and people always on the maps. I never found it really that hard, so I like the challenge.
Yes this build is amazing for HoT, but dying a lot. As far as damage its nice. But I seem squishy
I’d like to know this too, although I don’t think i’d want to solo, but for of a survivability build to stay alive is what I am looking for.
What runes and gear would you suggest for post HOT. I feel very squishy in WvW. I am thinking it’s my zerk gear I am using.
With all the recent talk and what not, as the title says, I am looking for a descent HoT build where I can survive and get out of places fast. My main is a ele, and while I love playing him, its a real pain in HoT.
I use s/w but as other said, its slow. I like staff but I don’t know if that’s suitable for HoT.
I have full zerk gear, but that is probably what 90% of my problem is. As I used to D/D a lot. I am going for hero points and only need a few more to unlock tempest.
Should I use different gear other then zerk? Or shall I stick with what I am using.
Thanks community.
NA, SoS server that does PvE content, raids, dungeons etc, WvW, and some PvP. Dedicated to playing and helping out.
Yes, I have to agree. I have been a loyal GW 1 to GW 2. I don’t have HoT yet, and tend to get it soon. However, I must say, with all the negitive vibes from people and some tiny flaws, GW2 is a great game, and I hope will provide years of enjoyment. Thanks Anet for a wonderful fun playable game.
Hats off to you guys,
LOL i like doing this LOLz, Run aroundz in a circlez while invisible heheheheh, got to love that saying.
Yea I agree with the responses here, D/D isn’t really built for PvE, I tend to use Zerk gear setup and staff for PvE. Ele’s are very squishy and dodging and counters is what we rely on and known the battle field. Remember our armor is weak,
This does sound like a PSU issue on a techs side of things. Now I know having graphics setup within GW2 can put strain on your PC, quick question, do you have other high intense games like GW2 graphics wise? If so and those games work, then we can pretty much rule out the PSU.
I’d be concerned at that point with the memory, use a memtest and check it, programs like games and apps use memory addressing, try that next.
Oh yes yahoo, yahoo is prone to send emails to the spam section of the emails you get, and sometimes I have noticed I don’t even get my emails when people send them to me and I ask them if that have or had sent it to me at the time, I tell them no.
What I would do 1st if you haven’t already is check your spam folder, I have Yahoo and trust me I know, they are a pain.
See if you have any email from Anet, and if you do, mark it as not spam.
Secondly, for stuff like this, I always tend to use my main ISP // Server email, provided by my internet service provider. For this reason.
Most of the free POP or Web email services out there have built in spam filters and can make it a pain for someone getting emails through.
I use a VPN, I have no problems with them and a VPN, so I see no reason to, all a VPN is reroute traffic and basically hide your network information. Works good for me, and been using it for over a year now.
Only thing I can think of you may need to do, is verify your IP change when Anet emails you for verifcation,
I was D/D but wanted to try something different, so I went with staff, while its challenging to use a staff, and ele at the same time, I am finding it rewarding at the end.
It takes a lot of guts going in with full zerk gear and runes trinkets and staff, but amazing how much damage I can dish out, I think its worth it yea, just be careful not to get crushed from behind or hit hard, otherwise poor ele will get beat down pretty hard. LOL
I think to this would be some what hard to achieve, only way I could see this, if we had something like Guild Wars Factions which was different.
Now maybe WvW but, I am not so sure about that, if you wanted to merge 2 big Zerg teams.
This is a very nice thread dedicated to those that there only means of reaching out, by doing so online / internet. It is nice to see something like this being posted and I am glad to be a part of the Guild Wars 2 community.
I can’t seem to update, everytime I do, it says 0k, I have restarted it 12 times, I get 20-30k and drops to 0k and sits there, any solutions?
For me I hit level 80, and I still have a lot to get, my ascended gear, work on legendary, map completion, dungeons, daily and monthly quests.
No matter what, there is always something to do that keeps me busy, and even like someone said, join a guild, I am in a pretty good one, and we do stuff together all the time.
When I was low level I used a staff, staff was my friend along with scepter, and I upgraded armor every chance I got. Kitting is key, dodging is key. Eles get hit hard, and when we do, we take a beating.
But our DMG is big numbers, nuking, we hit hard aoe wise, which is why I love playing ele. Stick with it, learn the dodge, learn to kite, its well worth it.
When you do hit that level 80, and throw on some zerk gear and D/D or Staff, your ele is going to do some pretty nice dmg, and you’ll be seeing big numbers.
Learn the battlefield, your surroundings, try not to ball up the foes. There are a lot of players starting out at your level, group up with them, level up together, it makes some of the longest battles that seem days, and makes them a lot faster for you.
That’s what GW2 is all about, community, and with that, there should be no problem for you. BTW check some guilds, they can help in many ways and a lot of us, know a few tricks of the trade. Have fun…
For all the negative responses that Anet gets, I have been loyal sence GW1, I must say, I am really enjoying GW2 and all that it has to offer. Keep up the good work, and look forward to the months and years to come and see what Anet has up there sleeves
awesome, that’s not a bad return for trading gold for gems really, ty so much
Missed out on some of the living story, what is the cost of gems to buy the dlc I forgot to get?
Okay thanks for the heads up, as someone said, I can farm gold and unlock it that way I guess, better then nothing right,
Yes I have 1 & 3, but 2 I didn’t get as I was out of town. Question though, I have 2 computers, 2 PC’s both with Guild Wars 2 separate accounts. Can I copy my data file from my PC to theres as mine is up to date with all the episodes?
As stated above I downloaded the first part of the season, and missed the last one but downloaded the dragon one. Will I still get the 2nd part I missed or is it included with the very 1st part?
I personally roam with D/D, but I use staff in zergs. I run a very glassy staff build : 66002 with full zerk armor and trinks. Really my only goal is to pump out massive aoe damage and it does it perfectly. You have to be EXTREMELY careful though. I stay in the back of the zerg, and I’m always watching out for random thieves. I personally love the play style, but some may find it too squishy for their tastes.
Whats your build for that, I to run full zerk armor and trinkets. Am looking for a good solid build to dish out major damage.
I also have a solid supportive build while in a zerg. Works nice to,
I have used D/D in WvW / Full Berserker / Trinkets, but unless you know how to dodge attacks, and avoid, and try to counter while throwing up them heals.
Its not for the faint in heart, it takes a lot of time, practice, and learning the attun swaping.
I went with staff because it gives me a break from the D/D and if I just feel like having some fun and provide support.
Being an ele, you have to understand, we are very very squishy, and with that, we must be in the back to midline range when you see a zerg rolling through your hood, lol.
Learn to blast, nuke, attack, and heal, and buff, and back out, and dodge, makes you a good ele, and keeping yourself alive,
