Has no one here fought the perma stealth trapper “ghost” thief?

There was one by SM yesterday that stayed in stealth around my group. He literally stayed in stealth for about 15 mins straight. We could see him dropping traps and sheltering. Randomly applying conditions while never coming out of stealth. Ive never seen anything like it. Totally broken

Every build has its more powerful build. But the gap between PU condi mesmer is pretty significant. I I main an engi because its a fun high risk high reward class. It might have a super buff one day and that would be cool. But Mesmer is not a thief mage… when it has more than double the stealth of a stealth class (thief). If i want to be immortal for a night ill run a PU condi mesmer. I dont have a problem with PU shatter mesmers… yea they are hard but not immortal. But there is a reason that mesmers are everywhere in WVW atm. PU condi mesmer is simply a mesmer with training wheels… if that hurts your feelings Im sorry.

I agree you can run from condi mesmers in most situations with speed, however I dont run swiftness. The massive amount of teleports and stacking confusion (which now ticks for dps when not using a skill as well) pretty much ensures that if you have to run for any length on a non condi cleansing class a pretty difficult task. You most likely going to be jumped by another player before you can escape. I dont ever stay and fight a PU condi mesmer because its cheese factor

I run dual pistol condi engi (non burn). The little guy would try to shatter burst me and run if he didnt hit the first time. He let the QQ go strong when I caught him (we took SM) So he proceeded to switch to Condi Mes running perplexity and said it was on the same… I guess baby girl hasnt been playing for long. Funny thing is I managed to down him a couple times…

I understand power mesmers running PU. I dont consider PU shatter mes all that easy and its not cheese IMO. PU condi mesmer with staff scepter torch running perplexity is so face roll its not even funny. I had a Mesmer last night who said it was on the same level as condi engineer (non burn engi).

I’m inclined to agree with you, but i know that many follow mesmers here don’t, so better prepare for a verbal Pyro beating.

I started out as mesmer. I literally threw away my condi gear because I felt PU was too strong and cheesy, that was a year ago. If you play PU condi thats fine, just dont act like its not by far the easiest class to play in WVW.

PU condi mes is the cheesiest build that WVW has seen. I will say worse than Condi thief. I had a PU shatter interrupt mez switch to it because he couldnt beat my engi then proceeded to say it wasnt cheese. Take off the training wheels mesmers, you are better than that….

I say go with what you like best. I main an Engineer because I love the play style and the premise of the class. Its certainly not an easy class to play but it can be very useful in roaming or group fights

I started day 1 as a Mes and I have to say Mes is OP on some builds at the moment. I actually got rid of my condition gear because PU condi Mes was way to cheese (before patch). For a long time I hated thieves… not the case anymore. I main a melee ranger now, but I still love the mes. But 100% uptime on stealth is pretty insane.

Ive never actually seen one drop for anyone. Im thinking TP is my best bet

Rapid fire seems like it should belong on short bow. The mechanics are for quick close hits. Long bow seems like it should have a longer “Kill Shot” type ability. Maybe an “Aimed Shot” that hits for high DPS.

Ive tried the Mystic forge once with a lot of rares… just lost a lot of gold. My friends seem to get Ascended and Exotics like crazy. RNG….

Im debating on buying a precursor and making a legendary. Ive played GW2 since December of 2012 and have never gotten a drop, nor have my friends. I was just wondering how and where others have gotten their precursors.

I can t dispel snare anymore, I can’t have my auto hide bellow 25% health and others anymore because I have to puts points on letal arts instead, but this tree is poor for us. The damges of the condi build has not been improved compared to damegas of gardians, eles, mezmers!!!
the hide when we resurect people is a poor skill.
The only build i can do is d/p and spike people without immune to burst. We have no sustain, no immune, poor hide, we can be reveal too easily etc.

Someone took the training wheels off of your thief is what you mean. There was a reason condi thief has always been viewed as the cheesiest build in WvW. It was face roll with little to no counter (Zergs were its only counter) and now you actually have to partially use skill. Put on your big boy pants.

I wouldnt mind moving down a tier every once in a while or getting a new match up. Especially with our loss of guilds

The WvW population in SoS isnt great. At times we can field a decent sized group. But we can never match the numbers of YB and FA. They can have massive zergs in several BL’s.

While we dont have the WvW population of FA or YB, we hold our own at times. If we could get one more decent guild we might be able to make a run. We can take things but we cant hold much in different BL’s at the moment. Still a great server. Hopefully we can either get some new matchups or some more people soon.

Shadow Arts Condi thief is completely broken. Constant stealth and bleed stacking along with condition removal make the build nearly invincible. You have to be really bad to die on that build. DPS thieves require skill. They hit for a lot but they have to play smart. Condi thief and PU Mez are boring and broken.

Thief is not OP. Condi thief is very OP. They are thieves with training wheels.

I reported that same thief. Im on SoS and he was speed hacking as well.

Ok here is my theory about Kaineng as a whole.

I believe that Keineng is a manifestation of the tier they came from. I believe that they came from a tier so dependent on zerging to win, that they still have it beaten in their heads the “zerg or lose” mentality.

Not that i’m blaming them, I’ve played many servers and done a lot of roaming and I gotta say, I have never seen a server stick so close to a commanders kitten before. Seriously, it’s impressive that commanders are able to keep their pugs from squirreling off and chasing things. That’s absolutely unheard of here on HoD.

Then I got to thinking. Well of course! Where these guys came from, if you wondered off you got destroyed!

Very impressive zerg tactics as well Kaineng, seriously your zerg fighting is very good. HoD could certainly take a some notes.

I gotta say though, I have also never seen people so hesitant to fight 1 v 1 situations. It’s like they need another green name attacking one person to muster the confidence. I would like to think its because majority of Kaineng is designed for team support situations, but that’s likely not the case.

And then another idea popped into my head, Kaineng isn’t use to being outnumbered. Seeing more red names on the screen than green isn’t something you guys are use to. Atleast not back when you guys had that massive, what was it War Machine? I don’t remember.

That’s probably the biggest difference in mentality it seems between ET and HoD vs Kaineng. HoD and ET are so use to being outnumbered, they’ve adapted.

Very interesting WvW population you have here Kaineng, best players/teamwork i’ve come across thus far is that BMS guild. Your teamwork and coordination along with your individual play is pretty kitten good. Props.

I have never killed so many high ranking players (Kaineng) so easily. Its really strange. ET has produced great small fights. I think you hit this on the head

What is Kainengs infatuation with HoD? Decide to give ET a break?

It is casual for us. :P What I meant by “the kind of fights” is the whole 15+ thing, and also why I said your guild probably wouldn’t. Neither VLK nor BS are the kind of guild that fields that kind of number on a regular basis nor works consistently with those numbers.

I’m not interested in playing Guardian Wars personally.

BS runs Guardians galore. Yeah that is one exciting fight.

Please submit a report with Anet. We absolutely do not condone it in any way shape or form. We all reported him when we saw him doing it on a keep, but I don’t think we had video evidence. If anyone has videos of people climbing walls or whatnot, please submit them to Anet.

Agreed. No matter what team it ruins the game. Im putting it out tonight if I see any HoD using exploits they are getting recorded and reported. Lets have some fun in EB tonight

Great Fighting Yesterday. Outnumbered but not outplayed. HoD played well.

The WVW needs that have a Dark Age component. We need Relics or something in our BL’s that give big incentive to defend your lands. Make it epic to take someones BL
