Mouse Buttons Not Working as of 1/21 Patch

I’m using a Razer Diamondback mouse (an old model) that has been working without problem in GW2 until today’s patch. The game is no longer recognizing the four side buttons or the scroll wheel button. I can still zoom in and out with the scroll wheel, it just doesn’t recognize the button.

What changed, and how do I fix this? The game is unplayable for me without these buttons.

Practice my text “apprehension”? Maybe instead you could practice knowing what words mean in English before you attempt to use them.

“Those both traits [may] seem to have a synergie for inexpert overlooking” is meaningless even if you fix “my.”

Same with “power is linear increase of total damage or saturating if regarded in percentage.” It does not mean anything. It is a near-random collection of words.

Look, I understand using the stat conversion traits is not ideal, but your explanation is completely unhelpful as to why. Perhaps you could post it in your native language and someone with a better handle on English can translate.

p.s. – The word you were looking for is “comprehension.” That one was close enough to figure out.

Mortar oh how I hate you.

Do the other classes have such an obvious choice for elite? I can literally count on my fingers the times I have seen an engineer running something other than crate. I don’t think I’d even need two hands.

Yor argument is invalid: power is linear increase of total damage or saturating if regarded in percentage. Those both traits my seem to have a synergie for inexpert overlooking. But Trait 1 is similar strong without trait 2 and vice versa regarding damage kumulative and even weaken each other regarding damage in percentage.

If we can say it is bad for its alone, then it must be also bad paired with a trait which doesn’t snyergise.

Can someone translate this to English? A lot of it is meaningless gibberish.

I think I get the gist of it, but I’d like to have a better idea of what he is trying to say.

I came back to the game recently with a couple of friends. We’re still gearing up for PvE/WvW (exotic with some ascended jewelry so far). I’m at PvP level 25 or so.

Looking for an active guild, we want to get into higher level fractals and stuff as we gear up more.

I’m an engineer, and there’s another engineer and a mesmer that would come with me. Also potentially a guardian.

We’re looking for a group that’s not especially young, and we’re looking for a group that does not tolerate racism/sexism/homophobia/etc.

We’re on Fort Aspenwood right now. Would consider switching servers for the right group.

I don’t like any trait x % converted to y on engineer. Imo engi does not profit well from maxing stats like for example warrior does.

It looks like the way he did it, taking conversion traits for toughness AND healing, would kind of circumvent the thing you don’t like about it (maxing stats). It allows him to build a spread of survivability and support (with toughness and healing) and get some power out of both at the same time.

I don’t know if it’s enough to justify giving up the protection stuff in that line, but it’s an interesting approach.

I played a similar spec before I took an extended break last year and I always loved that bomb healing trait. Would love to see it in action with a group that positions to take advantage of it.

obscurity needs to go!

This would definitely be helpful. Unfortunately GW2 is not unique among MMOs in its disregard for precision in language.

I just started playing again after tapering off a few months after the game came out.

My only 80 is an engineer, but the problem I am having is that almost every single recommended build is centered around grenades and I really dislike being so bound to ground-targeted spells. I have a rifle build that’s fun to mess with, but it’s too easy to counter. Turrets are useless, so beyond that I feel locked into a bunker/bomb build, which I don’t mind playing, but I’d like something that’s also effective when I’m not standing on a capture point.

So, I’d like to level up a second 80 and I’m wondering what classes have the most fun roaming WvW builds, preferably that work well in PvE without a huge amount of tweaking, and that don’t rely on GTAoE.

I have a bunch of those instant level to 20 items and birthday buff items, so I should be able to level it up pretty quickly.

I have a Necromancer at 20 already… I know some of their best builds heavily rely on GTAoE, but I don’t know much about them. If there were other viable builds, I’d be open to that.

Warriors seem pretty good? Lots of flexibility to go ranged or melee.

It’s been so long since I played and so much has changed that I’m sort of at a loss, but looking for a change. Suggestions welcome.

Mortar "fixed"

This didn’t change the functionality of the Mortar at all. If you used it, you’d know that the GCD and fire rate didn’t match up. All they did was fix that.

I think the point he/she is making is that “fixing” the mortar is like giving a car with no engine a fresh paint job. Why bother?

I know grenades are the omgawesome, but I just can’t stand the playstyle. Unless there’s some trick to circle strafing while aiming a grenade, I’ll never enjoy it. I end up just standing there throwing stuff.

Can’t agree enough. I despise the grenade playstyle and am pretty bummed that it is pretty much universally regarded as the best choice for an engineer.

I really wish they would make stuff like the turrets and alternate kits like FT or EG more viable, but I’m not holding my breath.

It resets on the first of every month in GMT time. This has happened every time since launch. These posts are annoying.

Point?

If it keeps happening, it’s prooooooooooobably something that should be fixed.

Your post about being annoyed is annoying.

Why does it need to be explicitly stated when you can just look at the server time and tell. Why exactly would it be every players personal time when it resets? No server based game does that.

I don’t know where the server time is in game. The clock on my minimap said 8pm and it was 10/31. I think it’s a reasonable assumption that October hasn’t ended yet when your in-game clock says it’s 8pm on 10/31.

There are so many smug replies in this thread from people who knew when it would cut off previously and have now somehow decided that everyone who assumed a month that hadn’t ended yet wasn’t over in-game either are lazy idiots or something.

Oh screw off about “are we going to do this every month.” If it was made clear somewhere that made sense, like the achievement page, people wouldn’t complain. It’s a reasonable assumption that you have until the END OF THE MONTH to finish a monthly achievement until you have been screwed out of it by this.

This is one of the few things in this game that has really irritated me given that I spent a bunch of money on stuff to finish the salvage achievement thinking I could do it when I got home from work. Come on, Arenanet, this is stupid.
