unfortunately I dont… if the card is defective why can I still run the game at the lowest settings? once I hit 1gig of memory on gw2.. everything starts to freeze.. hmm

so its getting worse… feels like its deteriorating somehow.. its freezing non stop. I can run it when its at the lowest settings though… really seems like something isnt working correctly with a graphics setting in gw2…

I was also getting the occasional bluescreen.. and it pointed to the graphics driver. Why would I need a higher psu when it only needs 450 to run? keep in mind.. thats an upgrade from a 300w supply that came with the machine.

I am having some issues with a new ATI 7770 graphics card that I recently bought… currently im running 10.12 drivers (newest).. Issue is that my graphics completely freeze periodically when im in the game. My mouse can move, but the entire screen just freezes for roughly 10 seconds then starts to work again. Then it might work for 2 minutes without ever freezing. Usually when I first enter the game, I can go 10min without a freeze… then when the first one hits.. its roughtly every 30 seconds or so.

What iv’e done:

I decided to reformat the computer because I had nvidia graphics drivers on the machine.. and I installed the ATI ones without cleaning our the nvidia drivers… so I figured it may have caused the drivers to glitch. (I know this is drastic, but I wanted to clean the computer anywase)

I put the graphics card in a new slot
I re-intalled the drivers multiple times… I tried other versions as well.
I re-fit the graphics card to make sure it was snug in its place.
I added a new power supply 550w. (needed 450). I did this before I bought the graphics card so it was always running with a 550w power supply.

What’s causing this freezing? Please don’t tell me its the card its self I just bought it and my 14 days at best buy are up. I did some research and I heard that ATI has issues with this, and that newer drivers arnt the best to run 3d apps off. Can someone confirm this?

I will try to roll my drivers back to 10.9 and see what that does.. any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.

As you can prbly guess, im fairly new to guildwars, and im finding the amount of loot I get, especially after dung runs, is INSANE compared to how much space I have. I realise that I shouldn’t keep everything… sell blues at merch, salvage/sell greens… but half the items I have I cant sell.. or dont want to sell. I love collecting skins for items that I will maybe use in the future.

How do you verterans deal with the amount of loot you get? Its driving me insane having to clean my bags out all the time.

I wouldn’t say im new to the game, but I definitely need some advice in some areas – like managing bank space and inventory space.

I find that guild wars 2 has an overload of unique items, lots of which I think I should keep. Half my inventory is filled with boosters, wvw seige, different types of currency, trans mogs, tickets, buttons… ITS OVERWHELMING

How do I manage these items? My bank is full as it is with transmog gear, crafting mats, tonics.. you name it. Items I can see my self using in the future. What im wondering is if this is an angle arena net has on its players for buying gems and buying bank space… is that the only way I can save items I want? Or is what im keeping not worth the space?

Basically, how do you manage your items? How do you chose what to keep/drop/sell? How can I keep my items organized in a way that doesnt cause me to have a headache everytime I open my bank or bag?

Im returning to the game after a somewhat lengthy vacation and was wondering why I cant see the combined gear bonuses in my attributes? From what I remember, it was like "Power: # (green)+#) where the +# was the total gear bonus I had for power. It was alot easier to see my build at a glance.. now I have to look at each one of my pieces of gear to see what bonuses I have.

Also, im having trouble understanding the numbers associated to my attributes, if I have 115 armor.. what does that mean? or 225 power.. these numbers seem very arbitrary and I dont understand what they mean when im looking at my character build as a whole. Can someone please explain strategies on how to easily overlook a build ect..? Thanks!

Im pretty new to the game and had a question about how attributes are calculated. Currently im playing a lvl 4 guardian (just started of course) and for example, my armor rating is 115. What does that number mean? How do I compare and translate it in a way that I can understand what my attribute ratings mean. Id like to have a balanced character, and am just wondering what these numbers mean. Any insight to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I havnt played in almost a year and I want to get back into it. However, the password I have written down isn’t working… but it works to log into the website? Does the game client and the forum use 2 different passwords? I changed the password.. but still nothing.

The password restrictions on this game is stupid crazy.. the password gw requires is pretty hard to remember.. and If it hadnt written down my account name id be screwed. Why is it so god kitten hard for old players to return to the game.. guess writting down info wasnt good enough….

After a long year at school, im looking forward to getting back to GW2… but I cant get access to my account. The password I used in december no longer works – from what I now know is because there was a manditory password change.. but for some reason I can still get into my account online with my saved password.

When I go to change my password here, it doesn’t accept my old password.. feilds go blank and I get a message saying “You havn’t changed your password lately”… it looks like a bug.. I don’t know what to do next.. when I go put in a support ticket, it asks me for a serial code.. which I no longer have since I threw my game box away…

I know these security measures are supposed to keep players safe, but ill be honest.. this is crazy. The password requirments/remembering account name is too much, especially if you don’t play that often. To be honest I just feel like looking at another game then dealing with this.

I wrote down my old password and my account name for future use.. and EVEN that wasn’t enough. Guildwars should reconsider some of these security measures…

Hello, Im fairly new to guild wars.. and I am having trouble understanding the concept of gear in guild wars, and gear in WvW.

It seems as though as you level the gear has a general progression from one level to the next.. and doesnt veer to far from it’s base stats. I love looking for that once piece of OP gear.. but every upgrade I find I only see a slight change in stats. Keep in mind im only lvl 30.. Is this question irreverent because im not lvl 80? I like having incentives while I level and I cant seem to find them. So far im loving the game but there are a few things lacking.. that I just may not understand right now.

Also, I love WvW.. but I dont understand why I can survive so long and even be able to kill people at lvl 30?? I understand everything is scaled to lvl 80, but is there a way to get an edge over your opponent gear wise? I don’t mind getting completely annihilated.. because it gives me incentive to find ways to annihilate people just like people were owning me. Kind of seems like everyone in WvW is just a numbers game.. im prbly wrong.. but a detailed explanation would be very appreciated Thanks!
