I have looked at that site as soon as it became available with GW2 products, unfortunetly, the visual look of the T-shirts I want to make can not be achived using their tools, and that is why I am looking for a way to get proper permissions to use GW2 concept art to incorporate in my design.

I also looked at the “Content terms of use” link you provided, and it states the folowing:

so I guess my next step would be to contact ANet using that email, and try to get Writen approval in order to be able to bring my idea to life.

I will consider making one for personal use anyway, and if I am able to get consent, I can then see if anyone else would like them (I know you will ;P).

The scoring should be like in sccer(futbol) tournements; 3 pts winner, 1 point for a tie, in our case second place, and 0 points for 3rd place.

Its is punishing to loosing servers, but … I mean they lost.

Just want to know who do I have to talk to in order to get aproval to make T-shirts using concept art and loading screen images. The Idea is diferent from what is available, and I think that the look would be something that not only GW2 fans would like but many others as well.

Same issue on the mac client as well, one minute youre running fine then everything stops except sound, and the only thing you can do is restart the computer.

So, I have been playing GW2 since BWE1, and I love the game; however we all know the issues with the Mac Beta client of GW2, despite it running fine most of the time. I decided to try to find an alternative to using the Mac client. I know I can run Bootcamp and install windows, but that it self is a bit of a hassel, and having to install that OS is costly and takes HD space as you have to create a partition.

Recently I came across http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/ which says that it will install windows games on a Mac. After reading for a bit, I decided to give it a try with something simple, so I installed Steam for windows (which worked well), and then a steam windows only game (something simple as my Internet is very slow), and to my surprise it worked just fine, everything loaded and the game performed perfectly.

Having had that successful test I venture to install GW2. I did as before and in the winetriks added dx9_36 and .NET 2.0 and used a WinXP enviroment … Then downloaded the windows client and began the instalation which for me took a while as my Internet is very slow.

Once the Bottleing process was done, I launch the game; The launcher worked perfectly and look just as it should, The character select worked very nicely, everything look as it should and had no issues. Once the game loaded The game worked just fine, everything loaded, menues worked TP worked, etc. However the Graphics looked a bit weird like they were madeup of small squares (not pixels as each square had pixels visible), also the FPS were lower than expected as normally I have an average of 30 fps, but with this set up I was getting about 9-15. Other than this 2 issues the game worked wonderfully and at times it was playable (I was able to finish several events).

Now my request:
If at all possible, is there someone that may be willing to try and do as I did, but maybe use other wine triks, maybe someone who knows a bit more about what they do and how they would afect the game, as in reality, I was just guessing. with my slow speed, results would take a very long time, and unfortunetly I could not find where winebottler puts the .dat file to just replace it.

Thank you for any help with this, as the end goal would be to have a more stable, better performing Mac client for all of us.

I think that the Fact that the name “Dragon Hunter” really applies to any class has been driven through clearly enough and without any doubt it is clear that it was not the best choice for the proffesion.

Doing a simple Synonym search for the word Guardian we get several better options for the Elite Specialization.

we have:
advocate, ally, backer, challenger, champ, conqueror, defender, endorser, exponent, expounder, hero, heroine, medalist, nonpareil, number one, numero uno, paladin, artisan, patron, proponent, protector, supporter, sympathizer, the greatest, titleholder
top dog, upholder, vanquisher, victor, vindicator, warrior, winner.

out of those there are some that would be better suited, like:

advocate, conqueror, defender, paladin, vanquisher, vindicator.

for me the last (VINDICATOR) would fit the role much better than a generic “Dragon Hunter”.

but you’ll still be able to get it. And the trend will die down so you’ll be more unique while wearing them than people that are wearing them right now

Right now I feel more unique for NOT having them….lol… go figure.

Hello Everyone!

Given that GW2 has a very large Latin American following with gamers from every part of the South American (SA) continent, and that ANet travels to Europe and Asia for events, would it be posible to have even the smallest precense at the Brasil Game Show (BGS) in Brazil.

The reasoning for this is that even tho there are several events in the US, There are travel and expence restrictions for SA players, like having to need passports and visas; on the other hand Brazil belongs to Mercosur, this gives any member (most SA countries) the ability to travel in to Brazil with only a simple ID card no visa needed.

The BGS is one of if not the largest Game Show in SA and it would be great to have GW2 representatives here recruting new and recognizing old players alike.

Just an idea, a hope, a dream…. please?

Expanssions do the 1 thing ANet said they did not want to do… Split the player base.

if they make an expanssion the playerbase will be separated b2ing expanssion owners and none. This gap will reduce player base in both camps and creates a toxic enviroment, as well as now they have to do LS for both.

Also this same handfull of people (minority) that are crying there is nothing to do now, will finish the expanssion in a month and start to whine again that they have nothing to do and they neeeeeed another expanssion.

Living story can and has delivered everything an expanssion does (weapons, armor, land, etc) and has done it in a well paced manner allowing the playerbase to stay mostly together, and providing a sence of progression.

I do however would like more substancial and regular updates even if I have to wait for 1 a month b2ing updates.

This arguments about recycled content are infantile and invalid.
It is like saying Christmas sux because every year you eat the same foods, sing the same carols, spend more money than you should buying presents, and so on.

Like Christmas, Wintersday is a holyday, a time to enjoy and do things you have not done in a year. The presents (rewards) are new, but the festivities are the traditional festivities for the season.

So cheer up and join in the fun, find a snowball pile and just knock some one on their bottom and laugh about it, forget all that is going on with mordry, its only going to be here for a little bit.

This happened a few times for me as well, my poor fern hound has died about 3x .

Guild halls should be instances that you can access via the open world.
eg: place a couple of portals on each map, lets say near a mountain for a cave style guild hall or a swamp for a swamp style. this gives each guild a sence of individuality.

A guild leader would select one of this portals as their guild hall, It could be implemented like claming a keep in WvW.

since they are instances many guild would be able to choose the same location minimizing the need for too many locations and still give the feeling of beeing a part of the open world.

you should be able to unlock guild halls via the architecture upgrades in the guilds control pannel, this gives access to this feature to all guilds equaly regardless of size.

guild halls should have the ability to be upgraded with crafting stations, gathering nodes, vendors etc, that can be purchased via comendations or influence.

this are just some ideas.

Hello every one.
As some of you may know, most organized WvW servers have some form of voice chat so that players can get together and get organized.
Well I figured I would create a FREE voice chat using C3 on my server (Blackgate PvE) for the PvE crowd. The reason for this is that I believe that it will encourage teamwork and will make it very easy to comunicate with other players in your map. I have added sub-channels for most zones I have been in (no 100% map yet), for those zones I am missing, send me a note via the game, and it will be added.

No password, Just login and make new friends.

if its empty at first hang around a bit, give others a chance to join, and help spread the word.
