i dunno, i was doing pretty well 1on1 against a thief lastnight on my necro
sounds like a very constructive, well thought out reason.
“Thiefs are too OP, game sucks”
if everyone had logic like that, this world would be doomed
You do know this thread is pointless right?
and you do know you just contradicted yourself by making a pointless thread about pointless discussions?
ahh im sure you know
im confused…there’s a lot of half naked armor sets out there? where have you been?
all though i do agree with you, im lvl 75 and i’m wearing the same armor set i wore at lvl 20 LEVEL TWENTY!!! that is unacceptable and lazy. I can crap out armor ideas right now for them if they’d give it a shot but nope, they just decided to take the lazy route in that department.

its funny, this didn’t happen to me at all on my server, just logged in, said i was LFG a couple times and got an invite with some cool people. we made it all the way to lvl 3 till the game crashed on me made me very sad cos i hadn’t died once on that lvl and we had to do all the lvls over again.
i see plenty of people NOT saying those things so maybe your just looking for all the wrong stuff?
What endgame?
Ohh, you mean playing Dress-up with your pixels?
Yeah, I tried to get into it, I couldn’t.
why are you playing an mmo then? pretty sure every mmo in existence has the same basic formula
glad to see im not alone on this (so to speak) im on thunder bluff and a couple months ago there where too many people around, i took a break from gaming for about 2 weeks and come back to a single player game.
seriously, all i see in map chat, even in the zone im working on now is people spamming “LFG! LFM!” over, and over, and over and over for about 45 mins.
even my guild has taken a hit, there’s maybe five or six people online right now, 15 at most during peak times. Before there used to be about 20 or 30 give or take at any time of the day.
@carson
im in my high 60s (lvl 67 to be exact) and i don’t see ANYONE in the zone i’m working on right now. i have the whole place to myself. its actually VERY difficult to get through the higher lvl zones by yourself too, every step of the way you gotta fight something. there’s a bunch of people parked at Lions arch but the map chat is dead, maybe this only happens when im on but alls i see is people spamming for groups.
its quite sad really :/ even when i do see people roaming about their soloing and paying no attention to anyone else. its like people are racing to complete a zone and don’t really give a dam about anything else. really ruins it for me cos i barely ever run dungeons, alls i’ve been doing when i log on is go through each zone.
i do agree with you to an extent. there are some monsters and beasts where you can tell their landing an attack, and then there’s others that make you go O_o
this link you shared: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4y2PqlHkjQ0
is an example of combat done beautifully, if anet can replicate that even a little bit with some of their creatures and monsters i will be very impressed
yes and no, i love the art style and the music, the story is decent and the pvp is interesting. But there’s things like not having cool looking enemies to fight and lame weapon skins.
Just curious as to what everyone’s favorite vista is. i’ve taken a picture of every vista i’ve ever found and i went through em all and found my absolute favorite! If i had to choose (i have lots of favorites) i’d go with this waterfall i found in a lvl 20-25 area, ill get the specific name of it in a sec, the waterfall vistas are always awesome to gaze at. i really like the swamp themed vistas as well, thunderbluff isle had a lot of those.
bumpity.
this needs to be addressed! >.<
i’ve been saying this since day one! some people don’t want it for some reason? people have told me “if you want to pvp just do pvp or wvw!” but what they don’t realize is i like being competitive with my friends that i pve with out in the world.
its very sad that they didn’t think about this, its a mechanic you already see in-game with npcs where they are able to switch from friendly to unfriendly
I like how I can write or download an agent to play the game for me, so when I wake up in the morning I have become significantly richer than my fellow players. Further, I am enjoying the inaction of those supposed to prevent this, allowing me to continue without fear of reprisal.
/sarcasm
What good is there in any of this game if ANet aren’t committed to adressing bots?
dude gtfo, this thread isn’t for negative aspects. its for the positive. take your whining elsewhere, please.
ahhh there was one particular area (forget where exactly) that had lots of small cliffs and drop offs, and the fastest way to get around the area is to jump from these cliffs, well i was standing near a waypoint just salvaging some items when a human plops on the ground next to me, the guy gets up and nonchalantly runs away, then a charr plops face first, then another human, then a asura, then a nord. there was maybe 5 or 6 different people falling from this cliff, all one after another.
for some reason i could NOT stop laughing, it was so random and out of nowhere and the animation when someone belly flops on their face is fuggin priceless! xD
any pictures of these locations?
yes! please fix this issue. its very annoying, especially because im a caster and i do lots of moving and rolling and the camera responds terribly to my movements. I’ve also noticed it gets stuck on certain objects or trees and zooms in super close. if you guys could implement the below things this game would be 10/10 in my book:
- increase the amount that you can zoom in/out and fix the camera sticking on objects issue.
- increase the view distance that you can see objects and npcs alike (ive noticed certain players you can see far away and there’s others you can’t see)
- LOWER the respawn rate and implement scaling to how many players are in a area at a time. you guys promised us this! its getting ridiculous!
gah! wish i would have seen this post earlier, i just made a thread talking about the same thing.
here’s what i posted:
im really hoping someone can address as to why its this way when they PROMISED there would be scaling ( exe: if there’s 10 players in an area, more enemies will spawn faster, if there’s 1, less will spawn)
there has been several times where ill be downing a mob of 5 or 6 npcs and literally AS soon as i kill them all and heal up, 4 more appear out of THIN AIR right next to me and kill me. there’s another instance where AS im downing the npcs in the area more will spawn out of nowhere, seemingly for $h#*s and giggles.
i’m ALL for having large mobs, but having mobs spawn out of thin air is ridiculous! it would be cool if your enemies can call for reinforcements and it takes an X amount of time till they come.
i really enjoy this game but it really frustrates me as a gamer when i can’t feel the satisfaction of completely wiping out a whole area if the dam npcs are just going to spawn back in less then 30 seconds
