Toughness does need a rework then too. But as we know enet would overtune it and then we would have more condi builds… And the cycle starts all over

Gear doesnt mater in Spvp but it does matter in WvW, still have no idea why that mode has availability to get asc and WvW doesnt but all well no biggy

Power technically has resistence stat… Armor rating and toughness…. Condi does not…
Granted i play zerk trait shout build so condi isnt an issue, but teefs and revs would prob love a stat that lowers condi damage.
Power creep isnt new in any mmo all well.

When it comes to power specs think how much damage you would receive if u had no toughness or armor…. That 8k crit would be what? 12 or 14k crit?

As of right now condi damage has no stat to midigate its damage, agony resist would be perfect. But oh condi spect players say but but you have utilities like cleanses and whatnot. But when those are on cd… Just saying.

If condi damage is so high on tics then there needs to be a stat to midigate it slightly.

We have drops and most wvw guys have some pieces of asc gear either drops or crafting it slowly…. All i do now is wvw, working on asc weapon but have 3 asc armor pieces and all trinks are asc…. Its not hard to attain the pieces. And i am a casual player, so those that play hardcore shouldnt have an issue with getting asc gear either

I would love that change that agony would effect condi damage.

Have 5 stances but can only slot 3. Something to have player decide have that 2 off and defence or both support and defence stances for examples.

Example, swtor, marader, could use defence stance to help soak damage and guard dps getting focused or guard healer thats getting focused. Downside toon deals less damage. Once defence stance not needed switch to an offensive stance deals more damage have it dot based or flash ( power) based but it be a single tgt dps stance. Now offence stance would deal more damage but have less survivability. There was a third but its been yrs sense i have played so dont remember specifics.

Now even having 2 stances like that you would be able to “stance dance” depending what team needs. I know holy trinity not in this game so a “guard/defence” stance would probably be odd. If devs had resources i could see 2 dif types dps 1 def and 2 support have that either healing and condition removal or something else a war is good ar when it comes to support role.

Its just off top my head, i know sounds op but the class would need a complete rework saddly wont see it.

If they reworked the utility stances that be great! I could then have fun again stance dance like did back when i played swtor WoW for a bit and old school marader fro Warhammer online

Would be something like what the ele has f1-5. I vould see the 5 stances but only able yo slate 3 for f3-5 and leave f1 and 2 alone for adrenal abilities. Think that would also help make the war a little more interesting.

Sady thats too much rework for the devs and wont see it in this game. But one can dream plus folks can tell who the bad wars are from good ones due to stance dance

Berserk mode should have a penalty, such as after its done the war has say vulnerablity stacks on them for x secs or like a chill effect slower recharge skills after its over for x amount of seconds. That would ballence out the whole hulk mode in my eyes and it would help with build diversity i think too some folks might not like the negatives for the berserk mode and go with a vanil war.

What yall think?

I agree with the first post. That would be a good change to the shield block and it would make sense. The other post not so much. Now an easy way for people to avoid the reflect on shield blocks stop firing at the asap. Cant tell you how many times a pp thief or a ranger using thier rapid fired attack. Always makes me smile.

But to the OP, i agree with your suggestion and of course make berserk GS f1 abil shorter range. yes i main a warrior and i agree some of our abilities need to be toned down a bit.

Simple, negativity to new players that wish to get into ranked and get insulted. If the “Vets” cry about new blood ruining their rank and tell them to to get out and then turn around and complain about population and long q times…. Its their fault. Let ranked die off personally, love playing unranked because peeps are a little more relaxed.

Out of all the maps i do love the mists. To me its more engaging then any others. But it is zerg friendly but at times its fun zerg on zerg action with a great commander. But most people dont consider that as wvw.

Depends on how much time you want to spend on the game. I for instance have 2 that are 80 but i dont have time to play both. I plat about 4 hrs a day.

As to the necro, if you love the class play it. I know a couple peeps that rock them and know the ins and outs of the class.

If you dont know how to play a necro because you chose to boost create another one to figure out how to play one so you dont make a fool out of yourself if grping for fracs or w/e you choose to do. If that is your goal. If not wanting to jump into grp type modes run around core game start working on map completion untill you are comfortable with the class.

Oh and just egnore peeps that belittle you for playing a necro. They are most likely just elitests, instead make friends and enjoy your class the game:)

Then zerker gear for example would be pretty insane melee trains and power builda would prob take over quick if thats the case. Put a defence stat on pure dps gear.

I could see however the food idea being better solution that would alow dpsers and damage soakers use it if needed and wanted

Why not just make toughness reduce condition damage per tic? Yes it egnores armor but toughness in my minds eye is how hearty you are resistant to sickness and whatnot like constitution in DnD. Somone with high Con is going to have a better chance to resist damage or not as sick as someone that has low Con.

But then the devs may need to rework other skills like resistance to not make a power meta again.

Example like somone stacking toughness ignore say 10% of the damage from condition ticks, or whatever number doesnt add too much of a nerf to conditions. I suggest toughness because its a stat that already exists and no new armors/runes need to be created.

Wow i love all aspects of gw2 and i want to get into ranked to see where i stand. But if i want ascended gear i will have to focus more on some other part of game 300+ games is alot if i want even 1 piece plus will have to craft other part. Ouch thats alot of time on a casual mmo haha.

All well, just want some ascended for wvw so i might as well just craft it grr.

If they implemented a system like swtor resolve bar then wouldnt it hurt such classes that rely on cc? Idk but confusion is a soft cc last i checked…. Hit a skill cause damage to self, to avoid that dont hit a skill. Aka a soft cc, mesmers would hurt alot due to that i would think. Same with thieves the blinds and such.

All n all, i wouldnt mind a resolve bar like swtor, my platstyle wouldnt be effected much. But then again swtor doesnt have boons such as stability and that game u only have 1 stunbreak.

If the resolve bar was implemented devs would probably have to rework passives and active abilities. As right now peeps are complaining about warriors and cc not functioning due to amounts of stability.

I dont think the devs would implement a resolve bar due to having to rework traits for classes. Would probbably end up weakening effectivness of some classes and buff others if they added one and not rework traits.

Power necro plus minions normally decimates warriors… At least the ones i come accrossed plus reaper mode turns warriors into chopped liver. Warriors are hard to kill but they are not gods, i do have to say when i am on my war, i dont use berserker trait line not as fun in my opinion. Warriors again are hard to kill but not gods. Yes i agree that the berserker trait/ mode needs to be toned down a lil bit but then all hot trait lines needs that…. Looking at you scrappers for example.

Myself i love axe/shield and rifle but then again i stick to unranked and its hilarious when playera run away and i smack them with f1 rifle. Downed so many players with that weapon.
