We had a great time last night doing RP with our RP Officer. That is just one aspect of the guild. Feel free to come by the website and check us out.

Remnants of Hope is recruiting! We are a community based PvX guild. We have weekly events such as Dungeons, Fractals, WvW, SPvP, RP Adventures & More! Visit remnantsofhope.com/gw2 for more info!
I had a great time running dungeons tonight with some great guildies. I love the patience and understanding of our members extended to a dungeon novice like myself. It makes all the difference to me.
Looking for a guild that is supportive and helpful? Come join us! We are based on Tarnished Coast, but many of us are on other servers since TC is full for now. This doesn’t hinder us a bit from being able to PVE, do Dungeons, Fractals, etc (the only limitation is WvW) so if you are not on TC, come join us anyway.
Loving this guild. Come join us.
I am glad I did.
I am recently a member in this guild. I recommend it to anyone looking for a cool bunch of people to hang out with. I love this guild… I hope you will too.
Honestly, you will find negativity in spades on the forums. Lots of good advice above on ways to consider playing it, but at the end of the day, do what you like. You bought the game with your hard earned money.. enjoy it your way. I have had rangers since my first day in GW1 and though I am experimenting with Warrior and have logged more hours on my Necro, I still am sitting here reading the ranger section and preparing to go back to my ranger. Simply because I enjoy it.
Don’t stress over the negativity, go have fun.
I have to agree. I actively play and love the game, but soulbound is the glaring exception to being able to enjoy the game as a crafter. If we craft it, we should have all rights to pass it on through sell, gift or pass to an alt. Minis (I know, tons of posts about this) are another bound item that I don’t understand. I have minis on my GW1 account that came with special editions I bought and I can trade, sell, whatever when I am done. I would accept promo minis as bound gladly. Anything else from Weapons to craft supplies should not be bound imho.
Maybe this is to prevent duplication of item exploits, but it needs addressed I believe. This binding stuff makes the GW2 world less immersible and more restrictive.
Thanks for your consideration on this game gods.

I have been farming for Tier 1 items in Queensdale. The bandit areas (East of the Vale Waypoint) have given me lots of drops of bags. I have found lots of butter in those bags. Maybe that will help a little?
Maybe they can do like they did one year in GW1.
These may work if they have time to make some of this year’s Wintersday minis from GW2.

scyro,
You can also buy an invisible bag to store your mini collectable and any other items that you want to hang on to. This will stop the collectable from going to your bank and also from being seen by the merchant when you are selling items. I keep my mini and a few weapons that I do not want to accidently sell off to the merchant.
This will save having to go to a bank and recollecting your mini collectable (pet) over and over.
You can find the invisible bags on the Trading Post.
It sounds like you may be new to GW2…. if so, welcome.

One thought I have about this mini pet binding (this is not a rant, just an idea) would be to update the game with a patch that can make our Hall of Monuments restored by golems or something (maybe even pay a fee to have it “fixed”). It could hold titles we earned in GW1 as banners and even have the dedication system (with title tiers) for minis. This way the people who make the excess duplicates can sell them for some coin and reinvest in mats to keep trying for the desired results.
The gem store is not a bad idea, I just think Anet may be stepping over dollars to pick up nickels in this case. there will be plenty of gems bought to get those rare minis from those who want them. I think Anet may even see bigger profits from a system like that.
My personal observation is that I see less people than started playing on launch and even beta. That is quite normal for any online game I have played. Like Kazumas I am patiently waiting to see some changes to the system. No rage quitting from me but I do think the current system needs work.
Gamespot named GW2 game of the year so Anet is doing more right than wrong I think.
Account bound items are one of the very few negative aspects I have found in GW2. I used to enjoy buying/selling odd items, tonics, etc in GW1. If Anet wants the market to flourish, then in my opinion account bound items should be few. Think of the “customized” weapons in GW1… that was fine by me. I would even be OK with booster packs, etc being account bound. Soul binding is a waste though. What if I want to roll a new Ranger and my main Ranger has the armor I want to use when my new character hits the appropriate level? I see nothing wrong with passing such items (including weapons) to my alt.
Also, anything I can make craft wise (food, etc) should all be tradeable. I think Anet hoped the soul/account binding would encourage more gem sales for them. Really, if the market opened up for items like the minis that are “special” it would encourage more sells by the end users. We should have a dedication system for the weapons, minis, etc… not binding to you because you used it for a bit.
More free market… less binding please, Anet. I know for me that would mean me buying and selling more items which is good for the game, economy and even you, Anet with the gems cashed in for gold to buy said items.

I have no clue, but I was 90% sure Tim Curry was the voice of the Mad King when I heard him.
Snip and elvis is living in france serving burgers.
I am not sure about the Aliens or the Government… but I KNOW I saw Elvis last week at McDonalds! :P
Thank you Anet for the fun. As a long term GW1 player and someone who has been waiting for literally years for the GW2 launch I must say I have yet to be disappointed in the game content. I was not sure how the first Big Event would be done and if it would be fun but it has been great fun already for my wife and I. After what I have seen this week I can only imagine the fun and surprises that will be part of the first Wintersday event.
