Having been on YB/Mag/SoS, if you think SoS running siege during outnumbered NA/EU is bad, YB runs siege during regular hours, not outnumbered, and will open field it a lot more. Would you rather them not sieging and letting you Ktrain them for 16 hours of the day? SoS is the unofficial OCX server, if Mag has a problem with it, suck it up. Complaining about SoS’s OCX population is like SoS complaining about Mag’s NA/EU (but I don’t see them nagging about it on the forums). If Mag is what it is of the old days, just PPT for a week so you guys can go up. Cooperate with SBI if you have to, it’s not that hard. And stop stacking NA or getting all the WvW vets on one server. Complaining about not having other NA or experienced WvW opponents while doing that is like shooting yourself in the foot and blaming the gun.

I’ve had the same problem, but I think I might have found a fix. I just installed onto another desktop with better graphics card and CPU and the DCs are gone. It’s either a clean reinstall or the higher specs that fixed the problem.

Edit: It seems that the DCs have been replaced by massive 10s lags when I’m near large groups/zergs, but I remain in the game…

I’m currently experiencing huge amount of disconnections since the patch. I can’t be in the game for more than a few seconds before I get booted to the character screen or to the log in screen. This problem seems to happen mostly on maps where it’s a mega server. I’ve had no such trouble with connections in the past, but now it’s so persistent that the game is unplayable!

YB got 2nd last season because:
1. PVE player base came out for weeks and queued maps and basically sat in them for NA/EU. I still remember 4-6 hour queues during NA primetime in week 4 of that season. It died down somewhat until the last 2 weeks. When the calls goes out for bodies, there is a tendency to map shout in Queensdale, Frostgorge, boss trains and you can have maps flooded. With the right commanders, these guys don’t leave even after a few wipes.
2. Protracted siege warfare. Pretty much play ball with the siege fire or leave. Lots of guilds decided the latter was the option since they didn’t want to fight for 2-3 hours to take a keep or over an hour to take towers.
3. Overtime, lots of people stayed up to boost OCX/SEA, many commanders pulled 12h+ shifts. The fact that YB had 2 map zergs at those times speaks for themselves.
4. Double team SBI and BP with Ebay. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Granted, not everyone was on board with this, but with the possibility of Ebay tying for 4th and YB getting 2nd, it was a win-win for both sides.

The problem this season is that most if not all the organized guilds left. Prob will get 4th/5th this season though…unless there is some serious commitment.

I dont understand the bashing from Ark. We explained at the start of the week finals this week has made it very kitten our guild. Not one time this week were we even around 20 players online at a given time, most of the time, barely 15.

We never once bragged about how “amazing” we are, or none of that. Only thing we’ve been doing is trying hard to win this week, our guild actually wants to be in gold do to the fun of the fights. So we been trying quite hard.

Anyways, we’re still learning GvGs, we’re pretty god awful at 15v15s still, haha – but if we have a rematch next week like expected, we can definitely go for it!

I was there trying to sort out GvGs. Unfortunately this week, both of the coordinators/leaders for our GvGs were afk due to school and work. When we tried to get people online, the most we had was Wednesday night was 18 and many weren’t part of our GvG crew because they are in training. One doesn’t turn down GvGs unless we don’t have the classes we need online, we actively pursued them during leagues and had good fights with TE and other guilds. Last night, I counted at MOST 15ish on + many militia during the fight before most went offline for Friday finals. Hopefully we can get a GvG in next matchup once the holiday season starts and everyone is out of school.

There’s no alliance from what I know. They might have gone after you guys if you dared to mass attack them on their borderlands…we got hit hard by them at reset because we did that. Hell, last night the map was mostly red until we started pushing back out and went for full defense.

We know there’s a alliance…stop denying it. Bp has 0 night crew so we are a easy target but eBay has not been touched. That was reset night, it’s all game then.

This also might be due to the fact that Ebay fields a lot more during weekends and BP during weekdays. There’s no alliance. YB has been out in full force in EBBL. We had almost the entire map red. Ebay has more weekend players so it made sense for them to hold out better than BP does.

We’ve had plenty of trolling on our own borderlands as SBI be it by our own people or YB. Any other SBIer’s remember Bags building 50 ballistae in SBI BL Hills? I remember they threw on guild tags that tried to point the blame at one server or another.

Trolls can’t be controlled. The best both teams can do is report them, block their communications, and do what they can under the circumstances. It’s not like what any of us say to these people will ever stop them from continuing what they are doing. Even if they do feel the wrath of the banhammer they’ll just create new accounts and get right back to it /because that’s what they do/. It’s not that we’re turning a blind eye, it’s that we can’t effectively stop them nor can they. That’s Anet’s job and they’re doing a bad job of policing it. I see the same idiots that have to be reported by everyone on a borderland constantly remaining a presence.

The only real thing worth bringing up again is that there should be a need for /everyone/ here to learn to respect the other. The voices of one or two bad eggs does not represent the majority and employing tactics to punish the majority is in bad taste.

This. When you have one person/guild/group trolling one/two/all three servers, it’s hard to do ANYTHING about it. We really don’t know if it’s someone imitating a person on YB or SBI or genuine griefers who switched. All we know is that all servers were affected by it, and it needs to stop for future matchups. The guy with the [Bags] tag has been confirmed and denied as a member of SBI, same with the purported YB trolls on SBI and the griefers hitting Ebay. Now if those griefers actually came out and admitted something, that would be completely different.

Edit: For clarification, the griefing on YB started late Sunday night PST, and continued into Mon/Tues, stopped for a bit, and then started again yesterday. It sucks to deal with it, but we can all agree to not let this happen again.

In a past matchup, we had a [FoW] warrior commander constantly getting into our spawn and killing golems in our spawn. You didn’t see us sending people to your server to do the same. It sucked, we moved on, and dealt with it. But good ol’ Yaks Bend, decides to justify sending someone right back at you to “even the score”.

I actually don’t mind YB players being happy about their performance this week, but I’d like them to keep in mind that it’s not a result of anything they are doing internally but rather what they are doing via map politics with Ebay. Map politics and 2v1s are part of the game, and if you want to do them to win it’s completely understandable. If you guys got the organization to pull off a consistent 2v1 you should do it and you’ve done it well, but don’t pat yourselves on the back for beating us and saying how much your server has improved when at the end of the day you are just a bunch of 2v1 tower huggers, and when you dare to come out of your tower it’s in blobs of 50-60 “guild groups” (I’m looking at you [One]/]SE]).

This is really funny coming from a guild that refuses to fight open field on even terms when it’s just [One] or [SE] and must hold hands with DR to even remotely engage and then run away when one of the guilds start dropping. No wonder we bring the guild groups, you guys need to bring 2, 3 guilds at a time to even fight us.

I have never understood all the hate against SBI, please explain.

Because this was one of closest matchups for WvW for silver and it could have gone either way for who is taking first place (SBI or YB). But someone confirmed in Bags decided to hop on over to grief on YB. I don’t know if the trolls on SBI are from YB, it could be either a false flag from SBI, actual YB, or even Ebay trying to get in on the drama.

All three servers needs to get in line and put an end to this crap in WvW.

My bet is on Yak’s Bend this week, not only do they have numbers, but those numbers are skilled, something I have yet to see from Stormbluff. Stormbluff has to step it up if they want the win this week.

I think this week will come down to coverage wars…and let’s be honest, SBI has superior OCX and SEA coverage (almost the same as DB if I remember correctly). Everyone does better on weekends, but the Thanksgiving weekend might give us a few surprises. YB will def put up a fight though and so will Ebay.

Great fights tonight in EBG. It was so boring the past week that One had to go PvP tournies. That fight with Void at NE SM was awesome. And that SBI blob…let’s just say the overall lag gives you away lol.

I think this is a good case of an ANet employee lying and not confronting the community about it. Not a single NSP user has reported seeing Devon. One person told me he was on SBI, but I cannot confirm that rumour either.

SBI has a bunch of devs playing on it…like at least 5 from what I saw. Right after the new ruins were released, it was the devs in there capping it and building cannons…

SBI is just a numbers server. Little skill when numbers are equal or close. Large numbers mean lazy players. When you have 50 on 20 you don’t need to be good and you don’t need to be creative. I’ve seen too many run when they aren’t supported with their large zerg, so if they play other servers with equal numbers I won’t put my money on SBI.

Listen to the commanders. The influx of PVE players had died down, but it still doesn’t excuse the amount of really stupid mistakes a lot of commanders see all the time. The YB militia quality has gone down a bit, but I expect it to improve once and for all after ALL of the PVE/Achievement hunters leave. It’s gotten a lot better since FA last week. SBI this week is unbalanced, but morale has been high. Two weeks of curbstomping will do that to a server. We’ll recover next week against DB. Should be much more balanced in terms of numbers and coverage.

Keep in mind a lot of our guys didn’t care about PPT until the leagues thing. Forcing a lot of the WvW guilds to play PPT is different instead of seeking our good fights.

Haven’t been too bad, just some new players refuse to listen, run off to get their chievos, and end up dying before they can get their chievement pts.

I think the first week, all three servers had an influx of PVE guys, and whoever trained them the fastest won out. BP was complaining about multiple PVE tags on the map and that screwed them over pretty badly. One thing YB doesn’t spare is brutal honesty, we don’t hold back if people are screwing up on a map, we will call you out and that improves the gameplay. Some ppl quit, some don’t. The strong will survive.

Same thing happened to us on YB…I think it’s for all servers…

As for the EBay/YB alliance… don’t think it exists. I do think YB is playing the game by allowing a less dangerous server to come in second. If this is what is happening, it is a smart play.

We ran a lot of prisoner dilemma simulations due to the matchups to see who would benefit the most from coming second this week (considering the fact that we have the schedules for the next 6 weeks). So…congrats Ebay for coming in second! Hope that boosts you guys’ morale.

And BP, don’t give up! Next week should be fun for you guys.

Edit: The increase in numbers is prob due to the fact that we got our PVE guys to finally come in and cooperate with WvW guys so they can still get their achievements. Hopefully, some of they stay for a bit. It’s def NOT due to transfers.

For all the roamers complaining about zergs, wait til you fight FA and SBI lol. They’ll flood 100+ every single map, from NA to Oceanic to SEA.

Keep in mind, this is going to be the most even matchup for weeks to come between our 3 servers. For all the other weeks, it’ll be either you guys overrunning your opponents or vice versa. Enjoy this week while it lasts.

Also SIC, maybe if you wanted to roam, you should have transferred to Bronze League instead of going to a MORE populated server than IoJ. Just a suggestion.

Well, it’ll be 6 weeks until we get the same matchup again…so have at it this week. It’s been fun in EB.

YB doesn’t have weekend warriors anymore. We tend to be stable throughout the week in terms of coverage. Ebay pushes kitten weekends, then wanes during the week. DB will be a wildcard imo. Really gonna be interesting to see how their SEA forces keeps the ppt up.

Keep in mind, we cannot prevent our trolls/griefers or fairweather players to do stupid stuff. Most of the people who do play WvW (guilds, roamers, etc) have agreed to not camp spawn during ANY match up. This spawn camping happens in EVERY matchup when one side is so lopsided.

Anet made this match from last week’s ranking of us at #14, so it makes sense (to the RNG system) that this happens as it believes that YB is going down in terms of points. We did go up 4 ranks from last week’s matchup (and then subsequently went down 3 ranks from this matchup). We can only thank Anet for this debacle.

It’s a lot of tough talk from One considering they lost a GvG to us and even accused us of cheating. I mean you guys are a good guild but don’t get ahead of yourself. A lot of your wipes of us are a product of us learning as a group of guilds how to effectively flank and utilize 3 guild groups because none of us have had that luxury before. The rest of the wipes are usually my own fault as we have gone through extensive changes to the guild roster which has caused a great deal of change and unhappiness. I have to consider it a down payment towards future success, but we’ve had a tough time vs. skilled groups the last 2-3 weeks. Many of these wipes are a product of my own bad calls that lead to BAEST and DR rushing into terrible situations, but, you live, you learn, you get better. TE does it, and SBI will to, even if it costs us the fairweather PvE players on our server now that only add to queue times…

Is it a valid excuse for losing with 3 guild groups vs only one guild+ PUGS? No of course not, we understand we have work to do but I’m sure all of us are willing to do it. That said you’re the best fight on YB and we enjoy fighting you, but please, you get to pick all your fights as a defender with better terrain and supporting siege. We could ignore you but when we’re ticking 600 we often rush into really bad places to fight simply for practice and the fact that there isn’t much else to do.

Whoa whoa whoa…didn’t we agree to a “friendly match” and not a serious one since you guys wouldn’t even register it on the official GvG forums? From what I have heard, our GvG with you consisted mostly of new recruits using it as practice for WvW. But again, you guys did win the friendly match and showed skill. Good job.

Now, we usually don’t brag or put ourselves forward, but when SBI says that this week is boring and cannot help but say how bad Kain and YB are, we are not going to hold off. When it takes your entire zerg of TE, BAEST, DDLG, AND your most recent transfers from BP (DR) to take a tower or keep from One and our friendly pugs, please do not badmouth YB or Kain here on the forums and say we are boring servers. Most of us are playing for fights this week, so PPT has no standing as SBI pretty much outnumber and outcover us.

Also, there’s no excuse to complain about defense. Offense can also choose the field and the weapons they use. You guys did take NW tower and garrison last night after realizing that siege creeping with trebs and catas worked. With overwhelming numbers, I think that does even the odds out.

Anyways, I do not want to see this thread turn into that nasty 20 page IoJ/SBI thread last week, so let’s put off the trash talkin and get back to WvW.

One of these weeks, IOJ will roll YB. Gulagman. I will find you, and I will kill you. You doubted our wvw prowess and said we’d break against a real matchup. Look at our score last week against SBI and look at this week. Leagues are revamped so no one is tanking it. We’re coming. That is all T_T.

To be perfectly honest, what I said in LA chat was asserted and agreed upon by your recent transfers from CD…(the ERPn guys) And this was all BEFORE your most recent transfers/bandwagoners who wanted to ride the silver league train, so neither of us took that into calculation. And don’t worry, I’m pretty sure you guys will probably beat us in PPT considering the influx of people you have been getting, but YB will be getting more bags out of the week. Sometimes, it is down to a simple game of numbers and you can’t help the fact that skill lag will kill you. Talking about points is nice. However, PPT means almost nothing now considering most wvw guilds look for fights rather than pay attention to the score, but it’s nice to know that some folks still live in the Dark Ages.

Also, please keep your pugs in LA chat from kitten talking other servers like BP, CD, YB, and Kain. All four servers has lost coverage to either T1/T2 servers or others to a lesser extent. Your recent CD and Kain transfers should know a thing or two about that amirite?

Protip: This week is not over and once the weekend warriors are gone, we shall see how well you guys do against CD and especially BP’s late week pushes.

And finally, I did enjoy the HoD, SF, Mag, IoJ ppl helping the thread get longer than two pages, but can we get back on topic now?

To put it bluntly I will post where ever I see fit from a BG thread to a DR thread ain’t no one holding my mouth or opinion. Now with that said.. I personally can’t stand Yaks because they purposely kept HOD ahead of us and the map spoke for itself cuz there was a point we were only 200 points away.. only lost 2nd cuz Yaks wanted to focus us.. it doesn’t matter at this point nor will it matter for the future. I expect to be in the same position as last week when we faced them.. so my real enjoyment will simply come from destroying your grps that out number us 3 to 1 by being more organized and cordinated.. so yea im pretty much enjoying u all going against SBI.. Anyways, great fights last night, I’ll be enjoying WvW the rest of the week and not giving a crap about PPT.
