You can have organized guilds and still be complete crap (sry for sounding harsh, but that’s reality). Seeing his history with RET, I know a few folks who moved there and they are good.

Looking at all the sugar coated kitten you talked about IoJs wvw in some threads on the wvw recruitment forum, you’re basically using assumptions from other people and what you read/see on forums to talk about us. Which I’ve just ignored, until I see you keep going at it.

So how about you stop caring about our transferz or what happens over here and go back to the server you wvw with.

Actually, this started when I saw Banzie in the SBI/YB/BP thread so I thought I’d pop back and look what you guys have been doing so far. I wouldn’t call what I’ve been saying sugar coated as some of the stuff has been told to me by folks who do WvW on IoJ (I’m not going to say who they are). Since I’ve been seeing more pugs trash talking about CD, YB, BP, Kain in LA map chat and about how the new and improved IoJ wvw scene is, I’m not just gonna ignore this kind of stuff because that’s not the IoJ I knew when we were the underdogs. I really don’t care for the transfers other than the quality of the fights we will be facing soon. SIC has demonstrated that they are going to be giving good fights.

And yes, Banzie is right, a few of us commanders starting out or not known as well because we played at times where people weren’t on got trolled by map chat to the point where we got fed up. Basically, people didn’t know who we were (because we didn’t play primetime), told us to tag down, and called us noobs. Calling us traitors (and some continue to do so) when we left didn’t help either. Aleman got the short end of the stick, he got a lot more crap over it than I ever did.

I’m not a person who holds a grudge, but I still care for you guys. I’ve talked to a few people about what has happened on IoJ recently and believe me, not everyone is happy about it deep down.

Hello Yaks!

Your Server is notorious for it’s community in my circle of influence. I just had a few general questions.

Yaks is in the top tier of Silver Ranked servers, currently. What would you project or guess that Yaks will be sitting come league play?

The fact that you are boasting a community first, WvW second server is mouth watering. That notion aside, where would you like to be sitting at the end of the first 7 weeks?

Do you want Gold tier? Do you think you will hit Gold at the end of the 7? I’m only asking because it’s something I am seeking to avoid. I’m a causal minded player who plays hard core hours.

I want variety in my WvW experience and sadly it’s something I’m not getting at home, therefore I need to step out. My WvW night can consist of a number of WvW flavors. I like the lowbie madness, playing the survival game. I love to play Sim Fort and build a tower up while picking up random tussles around that specific area. I enjoy some small man roam in addition to (limited) zerg time.

I believe Yaks has more than enough firepower to take 1st place in silver. As for gold tier, with the current shifting of guilds from one server to the next (see SBI, IoJ) and the shuffling of ranks, it’s HIGHLY unpredictable the new ranking for any server after the leagues. I can tell you that whatever league/tier YB is put into, we will fight it out. We do not back away from facing a more stacked server.

As for small man roamers, we do have a lot of folks who do that. You will find them as enjoyable as zerging. If you would like to join a roaming guild on WvW, I can direct you to the appropriate people after you transfer over.

As for coverage, YB has people on pretty much all the time, with the low being US mornings and high being US nights. Our oceanics can handle themselves quite well unless it’s against a superstacked server. One of the strengths of YB is that even if we are outmanned, we still manage to outplay our opponents. Defense is instilled in our wvw folks.

PVE occurs 24/7. You will find people at events all the time, esp after daily reset. The new lfg tool should make dungeoning a lot easier. If you want, guest over to YB for some daily PVE and see for yourself.

I always enjoy the kissy fest at the end of matchup threads with DR. What makes me sad is that if BP tanks to silver league we won’t see you again for 7 weeks or more. You guys are not only the best, but also the classiest opponents my guild has ever faced. This was really evidenced when your guild leader came to talk to us over voice chat about what we could have done better after you guys smacked us around in 10 or so GvGs. It’s just so rare to see that “pass it on” mentality that you guys have shown us. Best of luck to you in your league if we end up in different ones, please promise to kick some IoJ butt if you end up in silver league.

Given IoJ’s recent transfers (more came this week too), I wouldn’t be surprised that they overshoot next week and get put into gold… Then you guys will see them once again

SBI got overstacked. THE EPIC BATTLE for #13 CONTINUES ON. I wonder if either YB, BP or KN will also get overstacked.

You can take Kain out since CNB and Rx are leaving…which is a significant part of their NA coverage. As for BP and YB, I’m pretty sure both servers don’t want any bandwagoners to come just for the loots. YB wants good dedicated guilds and wvw players. Anyways, I think the volatility of the #13 position will prevent any transfers from happening until the last few days before leagues start. Who knows, IoJ might shoot up from transfers into gold and YB and BP gets #13, #14.

Yeah, I think I’ll hold off from WvW, esp with the new lag too from buffs being added/removed? Funny thing is, the PVE folks are complaining about the new Teq and other bosses so I think I’ll stick with dungeons for a while until Anet does a rollback on the new content.

There was like 3-4 Anet folks in YBBL. None of em were too hard to fight, I honestly expected a bit more skill from em. At first, I thought they were devs here to check out the new content, maybe have a nice chat with them…since I’ve never seen an Anet person on YB WvW. Then this guy comes up and hundred blades me while I was typing /bow. Maybe they should have brought their PvP builds, I think that Anet necro learned it the hard way after dying 3 times in a row.

If we are in fact really outnumbering you guys, you’re probably gonna have trouble against IoJ in the lower tiers. Though I cannot believe that most of Yak’s and some BP have actually showed up for fights in this match-up. Unless all our transfers did exponentially; rating-wise, increase our WvW population…

IoJ might give YB and BP a run for our money due to their oceanic night cappin PvD folks. But if you haven’t noticed, a huge amount of transfers have gone to IoJ and SBI, while guilds from Kain, CD, YB, (dunno about BP), have been leaving…..Mid-tier WvW servers are getting screwed from the new leagues and transfers. Whichever one getting #13 is going to have a hard time anyways from an influx of bandwagoners for dat golden dolyak and an ongoing efflux of skilled WvW players. I hope things stabilize for all servers, particularly Kain since their NA primetime guilds are leaving .

Hey, please give Yaks Bend a look at. We’re always glad to have roamers and small sized group come to our server. Yup, SE from DH came over. They also had transfers from NSP, BG, GoM (more to come apparently within the next few weeks?), and even CD.

Some WvW buddies told me that they had been getting queues for a while on IoJ too.

If you are still interested in YB, —> ybbl.enjin.com is our forums. You can contact one of our commanders there. Unlike the huge transfers SBI and IoJ has gotten recently, we’ve only had one roaming guild from DH come over. If you want organized and open field fights, YB is a home for you. We may not have the numbers at times, but we do have the quality to even things out.

Yup, lost RAM and CL and some smaller WvW guilds, basically a significant proportion of our coverage. Went from rank #9 —> 12/13 now because of it. At least we are holding and not losing the rest of our WvW folks.

ioJ is a great server for WvWrs looking for small queues and organized guilds.
we are growing strong and united.
the community supports WvW with donations, everyone is very receptive with new players.

You pretty much answered it yourself. I run with TEST for PvE because it’s a reddit-based guild and do WvW with [One] on YB. I NEVER said I would NOT recommend IoJ, but seeing that I am on YB for WvW, I am gonna vouch for them. Now if this is your attempt at character assassination, it’s pretty pathetic and shows how LITTLE IoJ has improved in terms of respecting former members and commanders. I know for a fact that former YB folks who frequent the YB forums are still welcomed even tho they have moved on to higher tier servers.

FYI, make sure you know what the heck you are talking about. TEST is NOT a purely PVE guild. Most of our members just prefer to run with CORE. We also have roamers and Valco + Kron has been active on IoJ BL defending. Even Corin has made an attempt to get back into WvW. If you want to discount TEST participation in WvW, that’s fine, but that will only HURT your coverage.

Now since this thread isn’t about why I left IoJ, I’ll leave it at that. Let’s let CNB decide.

I transferred off of IoJ for WvW with a few guildies of mine to YB. I cannot recommend this server enough for some hardcore WvW.

- Very mature environment
- No WvW drama, very clean community
- Pugs know what they are doing and can defend a fortification and hold it for quiet some time
- TS3 Server for cooperation
- Server Forums – ybbl.enjin.com
- Sharing of builds and set up for different types of playing – zerging/havok/single roaming
- Very helpful PVE community
- Oceanics can hold their own against a more populated server

YB values quality over quantity and our organized guilds have rolled over zergs 2-3x larger than ours. Our commanders know what they are doing and have extensive experience from fighting in T3 earlier this year and some are transfers from T1 based WvW guilds. As I’m sure you know from your experiences fighting us, YB is very good at defense and offense. Our commanders know how to play open field and PPT. Good luck in your search. As a member of [One], this is my sole opinion and I’m sure a lot of Yaks will agree with this.

If YB can hold Kain’s Oceanic folks, they’ll def be more than prepared for IoJ. If YB drops down, you will dominate. Now will SBI move up fast enough? That is the question.

Tbh, I thought that CD would probably come out on top given rumors of transfers to your server and the fact that you guys have been fighting in T3 for weeks (higher rating?). Anyways, good match this week. It’s been very fun cept for that thread on golems and whatnot.

Most of the servers YB has faced has done Golem rushes, whether it be alpha or omega. Perhaps not having your entire zerg queued into EB might help you sort out the defense problem you seem to face…

I’m just wondering where all the DR wvw guilds went to…saw a DDLG guy on SBI today… and saw bunch of EDGE guys on BP the last few times YB was matched up against them…

IoJ has the coverage of tier 3-5 servers. If you had the superior wvw morale that you brag about you’d be a whole lot better than rank 16.

If and when I transfer I’ll be sure to come back to IoJs thread to let them know how much of a better server SBI/YB/BP is and how IoJ needs to work on its server organization and morale, because well I’d be on a lower ranked, obviously superior server then.

Give YB a go. I love it here for WvW. I believe SBI and YB both got transfers off to T1/T2/T3 servers recently so both could use the manpower. BP…has their organization together. Faced em a few times, very well coordinated server. Feel free to contact me if you want to get a feel for how YB WvW is.

Just a friendly reminder. If you see 1 v 1 duels behind south camp windmill, plz respect the duels and not gank them. Me and a guy from Os had a hard time finding a place to duel (finally settled on NSP BL), but not before he got ganked by a few YB and me getting ganked by NSP. A big thanks to the 10 NSP who respected our duels and left us alone.
