I was running Path 1 yesterday, and before fighting Lupicus we had only 1 waypoint (the one that appears after killing the Ancient Ooze), except for the starting one.
I’m pretty sure there should have been at least one more.
any official statement on the Magnetic Grasp bug ? (i.e. leap finisher triggers the animation but no the effects?)
So the last patch introduced a sheer amount of bugs, from the “keeps moving like an idiot when picking up a object” to the all around broken Elementalist finishers, not to mention the state of the fractals, D/Cs cannot join back, parties desperately looking for a overflow to play with people from other servers, etc…
It’s been two weeks now, can we expect something to be done before the big update coming December 14? I thought a hotfix would’ve been top priority…
Thoughts?
Problem. If there is no full server among the party members, you can’t actually do this together. Please, before you implement Guesting, which might take some time by the looks of it, allow us to join a Overflow on-demand for grouping purposes; restrict it to full groups, I don’t care how you do it, but it’s bloody needed!!!!
Up until 2 days ago I could run every dungeon with whatever alt I wanted. We’ve got 3 squishes and no heavy? I’ll bring my Guardian. Need more range or combo fields? Elementalist then. Lack control? Lemme hop on my Mesmer.
I could bring a lot of utility to my group.
In the Fractals, where it would be most useful given the supposed “difficulty” of the content going up, I can’t.
As if competing with the RNG or spending a lot of money on getting Ascended stuff wasn’t discouraging enough for us altoholics…
Hoping this will change sooner or later.

Same thing happened to me, also android.
The game crashes right after submitting the authenticator code
happens to me as well. Also, if I try to waypoint say to Frostgorge Sound, the waypoint eats the money but then the client crashes (twice) and sends me back to LA.
Not fun.
I went 0/12 (6 exotics, 6 rares) on Ectos as well yesterday afternoon, after getting like ~10 (out of 9 salvages, 1 yielded 0) in the morning. Smells a lot like DR to me.
Indeed, having to actually click on each item you would like to see the price of is unbearable.
New rig, time to post here again! :-)
CPU : Intel i5 3570k @ 4.5Ghz
GPU : AMD Radeon HD6950 1GB @6970 (880/1375, 1536 shaders), Catalyst 12.8
RAM : DDR3 1866 Mhz 8GB
I’m specifically going to address the inconsistencies in GPU performance. I will not take WvW into consideration because I believe the issues there different and more complex than raw software optimization.
In PvE, I get anywhere from 34 to 90~ FPS. And this in itself is quite interesting, the variation is staggering.
From my testing, what I noticed is that the visual quality settings “interact” too much with each other. I’ll explain :
If I set everything on max and drop reflections to “Terrain and Sky”, I gain about 9 fps; if instead I choose to lower shaders to medium, I gain 4 fps, even less if I set shadows to High or Medium. But if I set all 3, I gain upwards of 30 fps, whereas the single settings only net me about ~15 fps combined.
Also I’ve noticed that smoke-related shaders are the heaviest hitters (example : Fields of Ruin, near the level 33 insurrectionists heart, there’s a lot of mortars firing and dynamic smoke caused by explosions, there setting Shaders to Medium gives me about 10 fps).
All the other settings don’t seem to affect FPS much if at all, and the image quality loss is much more severe so they are not worth messing with. I think Shaders could use some optimization, while Reflections are probably “heavy by design”; Shadows are ok, but having different sliders for quality and draw distance would help.
4: for an exotic amulet: rough materials 2.25g – amulet 2.65g it’s almost 20% profit
Which, after the 15% cut from the TP leaves you with a slight profit, or most likely a slight loss because you had to repost! Why? because someone else, frustrated by having those hard-earned exotics on the TP for almost a week, decided to undercut you at their own loss.
So yeah, high level crafting is (maybe)fun, but certainly not profitable nor worth it as it is.
I must say i’ve had the same feeling more than once since I’ve got to level 80, I second the request for an official statement on the matter! :-)
This. Couldn’t have said it better myself, by far the most won’t-forget moment in my whole GW2 experience (at least in the first 3 weeks :-) )!
