Commanders rank filter / credibility

The only way to fix this problem is by letting the community decide who are good or not at commanding. So… we can either let it flow as it currently is (letting the people decide who to follow in the long term) or making the same thing faster.

My suggestion is to create a pin blocking option, which allows anyone to disable a commanders pin on their own screen for a month. I am not talking about letting people ban a commander completely, but about letting the people block the commander just like they block a spammer. It should last a week/month or so, as some people will ban a commander at the first mistake and we don’t want good commanders to be ignored, do we?

So I just took 12k dmg from backstab

When thief is in stealth he must attack you within 4 seconds.

If you don’t know how to play a thief or know how to fight one, I suggest you play one because it is much harder then it sounds.

+1

Also, I’d wager that a lot of people who complain about Theives are likely WoW refugees who are used to getting eaten up by Rogues in the BG. I played a Rogue for years in that game, and a GW2 Thief takes more skill (imo).

Completely agreed.

Mounts...

Also, it’s funny seeing all of the people cry that they don’t want mounts…. use a waypoint if you want. Run if you want. Stop trying to hijack a good idea for a game company just because you are a crybaby.

Or, alternatively, stop trying to force your minority view on the majority of players. It was made clear from the start that there would be no mounts. Now stop being a crybaby because you could not be bothered to do any research before purchasing the game.

You’re pretty funny. Where are your statistics saying that this is the minority view? Anything added to the game is good for the company…not bad. Your opinion closes doors for ArenaNet, while mine opens them. Which one is better? More things to collect > less things to collect. Stop making yourself look salty.

I prefer less things to collect, plus “anything added to the game is good for the company… not bad” is the worst statement i’ve ever seen in a forum….. did you see what happened to wow in Mists of pandaria? They lost 2 million subs because they added something to the game, in that case, pandaren.

Add progression to WvWvW.

I could not agree less with the OP, grind is what made WoW the boring thing (not a game if it’s boring) it is now, so NO GRIND FOR GW2. And since progression IS grind, I have to say no to it.

Does anyone else want to throw spears?

Here go the personal reasons (if you don’t care about my opinion, just go to the generic reason):
I really liked and still like the paragon in gw1, not for the support capabilities, but because of the throwing spears. And i would really like thrown spears added to gw2 (in land combat, water combat is fine as it is imo) I have no problem with waiting until next expansion for such a weapon type and couldn’t care less if it doesn’t come with the paragon class, which i believe won’t be added.

And the generic reason:
Spears were the mostly used weapons in ancient greek warfare, both as thrown weapons (like i suggest for land combat) and melee weapons (as it is underwater right now). They were a cheap, easily made and used weapon, plus they penetrated even the strongest armor if used well. So, as we already have melee spears underwater, it would be nice to add throwing ones in land combat.

So, if you want spears to be ranged weapons usable in land combat as well as underwarer melee weapons, please say so.

EDIT: I think the first, although not the only, profession to have thrown spears should be the warrior. If you want any specific class to also have them if added, feel free to say so.
