Yesterday I’ve reached lvl 80 finally i will play pve dung/frac mostly. I bought the whole berserk armor sset berserk staff and s/f cause I like playing with that setup. I also have 1 berserk ring and amulet. Can you tell me what runes shall I use and what kind of infusion shall I put into jewellery? I’d like to also know what accessories and back item I need to buy and where can I find it if u don’t mind;) and what other ring would be good for a beginner like me
I don’t have hundreds of gold, laurens or ectoplasm yet:p

Hello everyone

Recently i had to change server and I becasue of that I was force to delete my 80 lvl guard cause i won’t pay 1800 cryst for transfer :/

Now I wanted to create a new char but I cant make up my mind. I’m choosing between: Warrior, Elemental and Necro.

From what Ive heard,

Warrior is pretty much everything this game needs from a class: tanky, good dmg, good support with banners but its EXTREMELY boring :/ and I dont like typing those 5 or 10 buttons in the same rotation all the time

Elemental from ppl said to me is pretty strong dmg dealer with some supportive skills, high burst, nice aoe but there is one thing I dont rly like in him :/ he is sooo squishy :/ I dont know if I would manage to keep him alive in PUGS groups in dungeons or fractals

Necro is probably the class that tempts me the most, nice dmg, nice survi, dark side of the force :P but the thing is: Ive heard that he is not welcomed in dungeons and even less in fractals cause of his selfish way o playing :/

Thanks everyone for feedback and precious advices! I really appreciate it. And yes, I picked a guardian and I think I’ll stay with him for a while for wvw and roaming I’ll follow T man’s advice and will create a ranger I’ve got 26 mesmer but I think that ranger would be more useful in roaming with thief ;p I’m wide open for future opinions and you feedback guys tanks for helping me:)

Thanks for your opinion fellas especially Crimson Clouds for pointing out pros and cons so deeply I wish that my girl would like playing computer games as much as you :p too bad she doesn’t like it :/

Thanks for the answer mate and I kinda wanted to play a thief too but I doubt that any team will need 2 thieves in one party :p i think i need to choose between guard and mesmer cause 2 assassins will work in roaming too I think :/ but guard is also useful in every game mode.

Hi everyone

My friend plays thief and I need to create a class so I could play with him in mostly pve. I think that I need to choose between guard,engi, necro. I don’t think that second thief would be useful :/ I’ve read quite a lot about those classes and I can’t make up my mind. Too bad that necro really useless in dungeon for teammates :/ I’ve heard that his support is so low that eve his survi and dmg won’t help to be welcome In a team :/ I know that guard is easier to play then engi and has pretty decent defensive support but what about his dmg and cooperating with a thief? Engi is very versatile but pretty hard to play right? Is he good in dungeons and do people want him? I think I could try to play ele too but his low health pool scares me a bit :/

thanks for help guys. One more question: I don’t think I’m going to do wvw any time soon, more like pvp and pve. is power healing or berserk build a bad idea for that? cause I’m not sure if I could hurt warriors,guards or necro without power, just with condi :/ I’m noob and I am not really into the game yet so I might be wrong

After few topics I made my decision and I’m gonna play engineer can you tell me what you think about those two builds? Power healing with bombs or condition dmg? I wanna play dungeons and pvp, don’t know about wvw yet :p

Thanks for the replies guys;) between the two of them I think I’ll stay with thief another thing guys, I recently read that engineers gain more and more on popularity as roamers. are they really that strong and would be better to create one instead of a thief? From what I know thief is a pretty squishy if compared to engi.

Hello everyone

My friend wanted to create an assassin char and we we can’t choose between thief and mesmer. which one of them is more useful in pve dungeons and which one is better In pvp? I’ve heard that mesmer is pretty hard to play, know nothing about a thief tho. I’ve read that stealth backstabbing build is kinda funny.

Can you help us choose between those two characters?:)

I started to play necro recently but I’d like to create another char cause I need some sort of rotation should mesmer or engineer be more suitable for a random team? I’ve read that engineer has amazing support capability and their dmg are pretty much one of the highest. Mesmer on the other hand, has portals and mass invisibility but I don’t know how big their dmg are in pve.

I mostly play solo or with random groups and I’m n not a pro in this game :p can u give me some advice? I think I enjoy necromancer play style a bit more but I don’t want to level up till 80 and be useless cause there are only wars, guards and ele s taking under consideration in pve :/
