yeah,had same experience all day yesterday.All those moments when you need 1 more win to get next tier just ot have fortreit or face premade or some random bulkitten and you go back to grinding…

and no casual noobs wont go away,they want that asc backpack and to get it they have to go to ruby? So yeah whole season will be epic fail.

I mean there is so much luck in leagues right now.The premades are one of the problems the other is the pve players..when you have a random class with 20 points total…for the match up yeah it says enough.Or when you see a reaper or guardian going blindly into dh… And if you are player like me dedicated and with above average skill,I am stuck in emerald 2 and that is,the longest winstreak of mine is 5 the longest losing streak 3…I cant count the times I have been 1 win from next tier just to lose 1 or 2 games and then win next 2…It is like elo hell in LoL you can play above the average lvl of your league but you cant escape it.

First this will be opinion on seasoned 3 year wvw player and comander.I am not speaking for my guild or server.I have spoken with a lot of people from our community my guild what ever but I will never claim I speak for them.
So basicly Anet your main issue is you don’t understand your wvw game mode and the last 3 years you are simply killing it.

The main issues start from the point system and the pvd it promote,with the mindless karma trains you make useful on the maps and with the seasons you promoted with the pve achievements in them.Basicly you killed your top wvw communities several times in NA and Eu with this bulkitten. Not to mention how you never rewarded properly wvw players but it is like minor issue we just like to fight and we do it for fun anyway.

Right now wvw has several basic issues :
1- new maps honestly vertical maps and confusing narrow ways? Really you bring maguma/eotm style bulkitten to the wvw.WE love to fight no fun to fight when you have to seek the enemy for ages and in 30 mins you fight like 2 times only. This issue is simple to fix return the old maps remodel them based on EB map and we will be happy.

2. – For god sake remove auto upgrades,you remove tactical and strategy decision making you just promote sieing and stay inside with this. Why would people want to fight if they get upgrades without doing nothing just protecting narrow points with 10000 Ac and balistas and trebs. This kill the fun. No last minute saves,desperate run for supplies closing the gate or wall to gain this precious seconds for the TP to open and your people to come or your allies to run in helping you.Now defender just need to build thousands of siege and stay under them and that is.

3- remove this pve event in the middle really wtf? it lags the whole map,the meta destroys doors which is useless they can be repaired in like seconds with the masteries.

4. – Get people in your developers or at least consult actual players/guilds in the top guilds and tiers same as you do in pve and spvp. Honestly the curtain of information you impose on wvw is like crazy and nothing happens and then you bring that guy on your stream that laugh like crazy killing a npc veteran on wvw really?and it was with zerker warrior!?! You cant balanced all the specs the profession but at least give us something playable and we will adapt to changes with each patch you drop on us.

5. – And for the love of god look back to gw2 and how you handled pvp there,remove or atleast try to remove some of the grind you expose on us right now.For example some of the new runes. Let say I or my guild or my community decides to use rune of leadership for our guardians or whatever.. 1 rune is 100 crystalline ingots for full set this is like 600 crystalline wtf.On DS run you get like 20-30 with luck and this is if you succeed the meta,so you want of us to dedicate like 60-100 hours just to farm 6 runes and they are so just depending on meta.Not to mention all the other receipts for commander/wanderer sets and weapons we have to buy and they cost like 50 ingots each.And they have like exotic/asc versions…and not to mention the grind to get your guild upgrades so you can claim and ect….

I can point several more problems but these are the main right now.And it is pity with no other mmorpg right now in the next year or so you can kill it make us happy but you destroy your community alone…

GoD is a bloby guild…are you out of your mind? we constantly run with 25 members on teamspeak(that number drops as the night goes on) and maybe 4-5 randoms with us. Just because we are stronger than all your groups and we hit you like 30 tons, doesnt mean we blob.also, may i remind you how SLAY was running a ~25man group and sidedup with a >40 man group of randoms on sfr BL on wednsday when we were defending bay and you were attacking from garri? yeah, GoD is a bloby guild.

Sfr is still the best and almost no queues or like 10-15 mins only on primetime…

Deso tears are best but BB really ?!! honestly the last 2 weeks are boring like hell. Guys the league is over stop flaming us on sfr for double teaming we havent double team anyone statistic show it.. If we focus 55% of the time deso it is because of their attitude and the history between to both servers since the start of the game…

well i dont get all of the drama…just check the statistics and you ll get an idea of the situation. double teaming, alliance, conspiracy call it what you like, fact is viz and piken have both decided to prefer fighting sfr than each other. no point in denying it…BUT no point to qq about it either. SFR dominated the weeks before the leagues, so if you know you might not be able to face an opponent 1v1…isnt it just a clever thing to go for an alternative tactic?

the PvE problem is a thing all servers have to face…piken and viz just managed to do this more clever as well. SFR’s elite community hardly can accept pugz but PvE players…that is treason! and so everyone is just doing whats best for themselves as no one really feels to be responsible for server points or standings.

Also very helpful was the trashtalk and teasing the weeks before the league started. oh we had great commanders that will bring thousands of omega golems to wipe out whole servers…well as the time came they left for exile and the server faced the consequences of their behaviour. bravo.

in short: SFR brought the current situation on itself, but luckily this happened on the very start now so we have enough time to get our kitten together and turn the tide in the following weeks.

and now dear fellow seafarers stop QQing about legit enemy tactics or bad bad random players…but get up and fight.

Don’t play attention to monsieur Troma, posts like he has done don’t deserve any attention. I understand you problems, but we had some strategies that have worked great in EB, some of them will work in BL’s to, I think they will work even better .I PM you in game, or we can talk later.

That’s watt I have done on Friday, waited 3 h to get in, after 5 m I got DC, I waited another 1 h, and got another DC…and I had to go sleep.

You are one of the guys “guilty” of our good performance during the weekend, as commander and as a player, but just remember that even you at some point dropped your arms, and said it’s impossible to command like this, tag off, and that worked fine, from that point people started to follow commanders. I’m not going to say if I agree or disagree with your comments, I just suggest that maybe this is not the best place to discuss this.

My last post on this topic. I will only say this. SFR hold this week I know you can Kresh, Mighty Liam, handarand, russian army.
I want ot make few things clear because you start flaming each other again….

1- sfr knew vz will come as far as they come for league.We were prepared. I think the reset night was closest thing to real match you will had alll week. WvW people joined the maps and fight and it was kittening even.
2- yes CoN moved it is not secret we are on AR, I stayed jsut to fight Vz and give it my best. And god I did jsut in one moment when people flame you for the way you play and demand and try to teach you how to play it becomes not annoying but frustrating. And honestly if I want a second job and commitment I will go play Eve online again.Gw 2 is fun and time killer.
3 – As I pointed earlier Anet moving start of the league made it worse for Sfr as the standings. If Rs there and 2 weeks earlier picture will be more different. But yeah so much of the control.
4 – The things that Sfr did not expected was how much bandwagoning this 2 weeks will create and how much of the pve population will join. I doubt you ever have seen russians in full forces on maps this weekend. It is insane.
5 – The lag the zerging the blob mentality and fight and hide under siege is not Sfr way.It was always the other way guilds first and now this is the problem. Maybe sfr will adapt. People say if you cant beat someone become like him. But what is the cost? I still hope Sfr survive and keep the guild integrity instead going the blob mentality I hope 10% of these bandwagoners have brains to listen the veteran wvw players.We play in 2 weeks I will be glad we have some old style no blob guild fun. Ar cant win but we can have fun and decide some grudge matches.
6 – And let me point something no server can survive 2v1. I can point you alot of examples this weekend and you can deny as much but the truth is. Piken attack only the weaker target and it is smart for them. They play for second last week is same match up they try to get teh second place. Troma sorry pound yourself as much as you want but only thing that is better on vz is your p/t/v train with guardians warrios and that you die a little slower. On reset I played all night too and holded you on 2 maps. The ticks were even. But I am not on sfr now. I followed my guild.
As people stated above the sfr problem is the pugs that go there and they lost some of their morning and some of their best comanders…..
If it was any different match up probably Vz Rs Sfr it could have been different because riverside have the numbers to push on Vz. But piken is just happy to leech for second place.

If you have to be honest Troma if league had started as it was stated 2 weeks ago it would have been different story. But yeah getting your t3 keeps with kittening tones of siege inside is almost impossible with the new treb mastery and 100 man pressing 1 making lag….

God i love this game the insane Vz blobs, the double teams just to flip t2 hills on Vz map really. the pressure and still we are only 1k behind .. and god Vz love so siege but Anet encourage their type of play half of the wvw achievements done in 8 hours 3000kills 15k gold, controlled to maps lost few fights but lost the battle.Time to rest abit for later our russians are coming I can rest and Wemil with this golems.

guys we have gathered 100 on ts even more after SFR died the first time after free transfers and basicly from what we know the limit is 100-125. Why I say this because when all our russian go one map they fill it and make hours q. so the limit is some where there and in one Q&A devs said it is 500 for all maps so…

TUP guy here? You know what we will fight you in league bring it on there… It is just sad that guilds still blob and I mean guilds that are suppose to be good. If you have fun in lag do it and pressing 1-2 skill buttons.. Anyway you can QQ as much as you want.. most of old sfr is already leaving or quiting the game there is nothing for us. Only to win the first league season is left for us before we go to other games like Wildstar ect.

Honestly Er Piken this is how we gonna play ? On blue map we had 4 different groups Osc, Pugs, Zds, df+ few CoN, arrond 20-30 each of the groups… And you just blob to hell? why you pride yourselves with your guilds and hold hands in 1 big blob? Yes I was hunting you at north camp and every where, we had 20-25 CoN and wanted the good fights not the blobs…And you wre the only entertainment until 9 cet pm,when we ended our raid as Vz come later it seems az always ….
And as I said you lead full zone zerg in Bay and think I will not defended it an call the others or what. We had 2 guild raids and 1 cmd for the randoms. We ran 3 separate groups so… yeah call us blobing again…

About whining I don’t remember havingseen a single MMO where forums are not
mostly dedicated to that.

WvW is much about numbers of players on each side, yes sometimes skills in structured groups help, a top guild raid is definitively able to wipe bandwagons, but globally you own server rank is mostly due to the time coverage it is able to provide.

SFR now to me looks like VS several months ago : huge zergs against less active servers, I have a bit the feeling atm that SFR now is playing like VS before. VS is less active, because we are bored (very even) of GW2, and since we are a national server we have a smaller playerbase than an international one and so we are more impacted by GW2 progressively going down.

you understand that we raid 2-3 guilds on prime time not like VZ yes we have some very big guilds our russians run crazy numbers…
And through the day we have 1-2 big groups defending. Or you want us to lose our keeps because no guild raids ? some of us work and have real life you know?!
And we win because we play better the only map that have problems is eb but eb is the pug heaven anyway…..
And 1 more thing most of our guilds are even slacking we are keeping it for the league.. .. The you will see power mate honestly….If we can beat you without putting everything on the table imagine when we go serious.
I will tell you this SFR want to win the league and it is not a secret even.

I wanted to comment about the incident that happened recently in-game, surrounding some negative community interaction from a member of the ArenaNet staff.

Simply put a big mistake was made by one of our employees, for which he is both very upset and sorry. He allowed his personal feelings to affect his interactions in-game whilst representing ArenaNet, and this is absolutely unacceptable.

Like all players, we are human, and all have our opinions on the game. However these opinions should never disrupt other player’s enjoyment of the things they love. On top of this we have worked very hard to create a community that is respectful to one another, and for this behavior to have occurred while a developer is representing ArenaNet is doubly saddening.

We all cherish the opportunity to play with the community, and we absolutely rely on you all for in game feedback, and personally I hope that this incident does not hamper what has so far been an amazing relationship and opportunity for us all.

I would therefore like to sincerely apologize for this behavior on behalf of our staff member. We are taking steps to address the incident and for his part, he is very sorry for behaving in the manner in which he did.

Regarding Guild game play, please understand it is extremely important to us, and an area we are paying a great deal of attention to, so please do be patient with the developers who work tirelessly on making WvW the very best it can be, they have a great deal of respect for you all, and value your collaboration in pushing this pioneering mode forward. Also please note this member of staff is not on the WvW team.

Finally, World vs. World is a free-for-all battle. Our expectation of staff is that they should be playing, and enjoying the game like everyone else, and not being disruptive or disrespectful to others.

And in this spirit I hope we can move forward, and continue, what has up to this point, been a great community/developer relationship. One that I know our team massively values and loves.

So basicly sorry mate but,you develop only blob mehanic and defensive masteries and force people to play pvd/point game. A small group try to make fun in this broken game mode and now it is a problem? Sorry but you give every 2 weeks pve events. We wait 1 year for guild halls for guild arenas things like this.
And you as producer and owner of the game just say in our face. Screw you this is wvw all should do what they want? You really think spvp can be e-sport? Open your eyes. GW1 was hit because of GVG and AB but now you dont give us anything… Give us GVG and wvw will go to be casual as you want. And you will have your healthy pvp mode that have massive e-sport potential.

Compensate what? That this was one of the most boring weeks lately again. At least some more fights but zone blobing and lags,.. And that even people are switching to other games just because wvw is the same and even worse than before… And league will make it even worse? 1 good raid for the whole week. GG I cant wait for ESO to get out on the market.
