The thing is, story mode is there for a reason, and each character has a story they build.
Story Mode in dungeons is independent of personal stories in that it doesn’t help to move them along, so the dungeon story mode can feel a bit redundant in that regard.
I think it would be a happy compromise if Story Mode also rewarded you with a small amount of the Exp. Mode currency if the character’s account has already unlocked Exp. mode.
This
I have to say I like the idea of making story mode more appealing or less punitive to someone who’s already done it to be a much better idea than giving people even less of a reason to play it.
..and this.
The latter being a real winner IMO. Players have no incentive to slog it through difficult encounters for the sake of unrewarding grinding.
This has to happen. Maybe in addition to and above or below the optional clock in the mini-map.
What about, depending on the title / achievement, you get a cosmetic armour / weapon skin, towns clothes, items of use ect?
For example, complete all of the Explorable Mode dungeons / Jumping Puzzles would give you an Indiana Jones towns clothes with Whip emote. Killing 1000 Drakes would award you with Drakescale Weapon and Armour skins. Getting Achievements in WvW would award Badges of Honour.
I support this. Since the game is largely about cosmetic gear, this type of reward is much better than what would potentially be a seemingly meaningless stat increase.
lol…I would, but the moderators would just infract me and delete the post.
I’ve seriously had too much Nolan North. I need a break from him.
People stop playing anything else when they have unlocked the dungeons..
I’m sorry, have you even played an MMO before?
well one thing about Blizzard is they allow multi-boxing which should not be an issue there.
The issue there is that the player isn’t actually sending key strokes to the additional clients at all, the mod has it’s own set of api that it sends to the other clients in the party that in turn use the Blizz API to automate what they do in relation to the player that they’re all following.
In short, Blizz don’t allow this type of automation and nor do other MMOs, but because they’re so ’lax now with their api standards it slips through the cracks and players are free to use it.
But yeah something like that could have a problem with a game like GW2 that is fully over ran with Bots…
But from what I seen of the bots in game so far they do not need the API to mutli-box and fire the same button at the same time.
There are multiple type of bots utilizing multiple elements to automate or follow a leader/player. Just because there are no sets of API to aid a bot, doesn’t mean someone isn’t capable of writing a bot that will function at all.
More to the point of exploiting, I’d be scared to see what an Elementalist could do with a comprehensive set of API calls and 4 stances with little to no cooldowns in-between spell sets.
An option to disable hearing other players banter and interaction with NPCs would be excellent.
Like when several players access an NPCs wares and you have to hear the NPC spiel over and over and over, while you’re in it’s vicinity.
Also, playing or being around a warrior and having to hear “For Great Justice” every 25secs.. omg please. Just, no. Shoot me in the face.
It seems it’s not high on anyone’s ‘to-do’ list, but I really want that first person view implemented ASAP.
I’m used to a combination of 1st and 3rd person and this lack of being able to zoom into 1st while in a tight spot is irking me badly. I’m miffed at how it wasn’t in the release.
Purely graphical UI addons, yes, absolutely, as this is a huge step to making the game more accessible.
Anything else, nah, I’d rather not.
Agreed. I actually like the UI to the point where I wouldn’t bother changing it, but there are a few other interface issues like not having HPs above mobs 100% of the time, which kind of irks me when I have several on me.
Outside the realms of UI – This is stretching it, but maybe an “Outfitter” type mod (for those that may remember that from afew years ago) that allows you to store and change multiple gear/weapon sets immediately.
Players generally want more and more when it comes to addons and this..
My vote goes to No. I don’t want to start having people say I HAVE to have certain addons in order to even do dungeons. Where’s the fun in that?
Indeed. That’s just the beginning.
I would be more enjoyable to have some sexy outfits and armors for female character.
Some piercings (belly, tongue, …) also maybe a tatoo npc to put some lower back tatoo… anything to make the game more enjoyable…
Maybe some implants and fake tans as well?
When did I mention Blizzard’s issues?
If you want to know what kind of rubbish releasing API resulted in, look at Jamba. A WoW mod that lets one player dual box up to as many clients as they want with almost full automation using WoW API.
So despite the fact the game scales you down to make the current encounters difficult from any level, you’re suggesting that there be more level cap only content, also in spite of the fact that every zone will scale you down to make the game more accessible from higher levels.
Essentially we could have more level 20 players suggesting there be more content for their level.
I personally enjoyed using the gatherer addon for WoW and would like to see something like that in GW2 as well but considering Anet doesn’t like to release their API for such mods, we’ll probably never have the opportunity to use any.
There could also be potential exploits down the road after the releasing of API as well, so it’s understandable.
Apparently you have to put a ticket in with your CD key and the new email address you want to be activated, as well as the credit card details used if you bought the game online from NCSoft.
I feel sorry for those of you who want this email settings option to disappear, stating in short that " they should open a support ticket for THAT change", just so that you can be even more careless with your incoming emails.
Bring the ability to change emails back online or at least link to a place where we can start the process off.
