Hello there fellow engies, I’ve recently wanted to get back into my engineer. I used to play it a ton in PvP before Decap became the new thing, where I used to play pure bunk with triple kits.

I’m as close as you come now to a “pure” WvWer. I log in, I go to home border, I log out. I would personally say I’m above average on two of my classes and below average on the other 6. Engi is one of the six that I am below average on.

I wanted to come here to ask for some help on a build that would allow me to small scale (I’m a dedicated home border defender) but also wouldn’t leave me high and dry when I do occasionally zerg (solely keep defence zergs).

Thanks for any help you can give me. I know that it will be difficult but I’m willing to work at it.

I am the King Hutch mentioned on that list, and I would be very accommodating to any American player we could receive. Myself, and a group ranging from one extra to 9 others play what is known as the “Skeleton Shift” in WvW. We play from usually 7pm GMT to around 2-10am depending on how much we are needed there. If any of you Americans are looking for a fun guild, my solo/duo guild called [PUGS] is always looking for new peeps.

Long time player here, first time going outta my comfort zone. I wanna be the ele within my new Havoc Roaming group, but I need help on a build. I seem to be too squishy atm and want to be a lot more tanky, but still do some decent damage.

Currently running full Knights with Divinity runes and 2/x/x/6/6 Staff

Yes, ROF makes at last half of thier points at night, no wonder you see it as you wrote.

Against BT maybe, but that only means we have some coverage during night and day. And BT just during day. If you look on our last matchup every day from about 7pm GMT rof started to gain points and morning we lost some points, but not much and mostly we were still leading.
And we are in same situation now with RoS. And also you would probably want to check BT income this week. Very interesting too.

SO back to nightcapping. The only true solution is to get more players to your server. Only way how to do it is lower transfer cost to BT. But how is BT still Very High population even that BT is now T9 server? You should have enought people if you are very high and no nighcapping solution will solve it.

You are wrong, it is not only points, but due to night capping you have all T3 borders at morning, you think this is fair start for “normal” hours of playing?. I have nothing against night owls, but few other time zones guilds – it is just too much for fair play.
There are many national servers here in EU – this is great BTW- (DE, FR) what Yankee ” hero” guild will join them?

As of now, RoF holds now US guild groups, the only night shift we have consists of myself and around 6-7 other EU players

So there I am, PvDing a garri gate solo as a joke after having the 80man zergs of both DZ and RoD take us out. Then 40 RoS from DEX come steaming out and kill me. Now I’m fine with this, but then to show the complete lack of respect one of your silver squire’s decided to /cry. I have lost literally all respect I had for RoS this match up.

RoF are not happy with this match up at all. We barely had the coverage last week to beat Dzag because out minuscule night shift did near 20hour shifts everyday. Now we come up against a server with even more numbers, and then they both focus us. As a player who loves fighting I will run solo into your zerg, but when that zerg is 60man plus it seems like it is a pointless venture for any of us on RoF to even bother.

I like a challenge, but seems like this week is gonna be slightly more than necessary, Reset was absolutely brutal

40minutes till reset and you guys are still blobbing on out borderlands…
DZ attack our hills and garri with 4 golems and 30+ and then can’t even take garri. Well done guys real nice.

Talk about absolute blob wars. SWAT from Dzag continually hitting our hills while their border is getting wiped, and 2 groups of 40 FR blobbing our bay and getting no where. Real nice.
