As a small side note, the increased damage at more range is how most people misread it.
The auto attack is actually PENALIZED at closer range.
You need to stay at >1200 to obtain ‘full damage’ NOT ‘increased damage’

I’m thinking only a small bit of strategic value tbh, imagine the bottleneck scenario at the end points of these tunnels with ballistas and catapults, a few could hold back dozens.

Semi-claustrophobic tunneled area’s leading into low ceiling wide expanse terrain with traps, plant based enemies, elementals, inquest and lava flows that change direction and randomly change how you navigate map area’s.
oh and how about large mining carts on tracks that you can jump on and get moved around on through these large area’s..

Thanks for the replys and PM’s.
Still being decided (delayed due to american election thingy yokey me bobby).
It’ll be one of the larger guilds we go to, sorry smaller guys, but the variation in TZ’s for my mates means having a larger player base increases there chances of logging into a populated guild channel.
Server change isn’t an issue, but since we’ve done this before we just wanna take some time to think as making new contacts/mates is annoying if we went to swap again.

We’re currently on Seafarers rest in ‘Pandemic Legion’ guild, we left desolation server as it was too zergy and uncoordinated (we left, to a much lower ranked server, after the first week of weekly server resets).
I’m irish but late almost american TZ.
The other 2 are american TZ (and american).
I’m mainly WvW, but currently working towards my legendary hammer (read this as i’m doing pve for gold and needed parts), though i like some dungeons (just finished farming SE for the gift).
The others like WvW too but want to do more dungeons.
We come originally from Eve online, our other members have gone back to other games (dayz, wow, etc).
The 3 of us wish to continue on in a carefree environment with sporadic or hardcore gametimes.
Ones a guardian(80) succuboss.
Ones a warrior(80)alkabon and elementalist(80) mevadem.
I’m a guardian(80) ludricious speed, necro(80) cryptraider, elementalist(80) notarealgirl, warrior(80) mrs payne, thief(80) hired blade, mesmer(80) spirit of kinkiness.
All exotic geared to a certain degree, apart from my mesmer.
We definitely prefer a guild that uses ts/mumble/vent, english speaking is an obvious preference

Doing path 2 the since the patch i found the MK2 to be nerfed, no longer insta death (which was horrible but workable before patch).

Path 2 and 3 done in a pug with minimal difficulty.
Respawn issue in path 2 still there, path 2 bosses got a silent nerf.
But path 1 seems impossible now or insanely ridonculous to get past first wave.
Has anyone finished path 1 today?

Last SE patch bugged it and caused infinite respawns BUT you could kill 2 of the first 3, get your fifth to perma kite/tank the 3rd one until the others in your team beat the golem and first boss.
Not checked since last nights patch but reports are in saying they are now a continous respawn pain whether you keep one alive or not,

Path 1 infinite waves at start:
BEFORE you choose this path be prepared, kill 2 of initial enemy npc’s that spawn, keep the third alive.
You’ll need one person to permatank/kite this mob until your past the Golem AND have killed the boss at the end of the rampways.
Path 2:
After the 4 Champions fight, the enemy spawns are infinite until the next section is opened. You will need to grab mob aggro and hug the far right wall (where your next map pointer appears), kill all the mobs then let your friendly NPC do his thing, he will not spawn more enemys, only player movements will.
The final bosses.
Did it by splitting into teams.
Also and most importantly we had 3 guardians with wall of reflection and any other projectile screen like sanctuary.
FYI: The button 5 shield skill does not block this attack (dev’s please note this).
If the MK2 bolt does no damage (blocked, dodged, reflected) then no AOE spawns.
The MK1 can be kited handily enough and killed by ranged attacks or good melee (if MK1 is out of range).
The ministers buff gives a single Golem invul AND quickness (doubles attack speed), this makes most attacks feel like you get insta killed >.<
Also both golems have to die within a few seconds of each other or they go invul and regen all health.
Path 3:
Bring a decent group and beat it, manage mob aggro and if you have too much trouble with this path, steer clear of the other paths lol.

Just dropped 50gold into mystic forge gambling (not as much as some i know but i have spent plenty of my 5 other level 80 characters, including level 400 on all crafts and i haven’t injected real life cash into the forge).
No i don’t want some mad pre-req like “dungeon master” because i’m here for WvW not to grind dungeons over and over (pre-cursor should be available to all types of players, though pure SPvp duders will be a bit different (maybe give them there own Spvp legendary)).
No i don’t want an exact recipe because the farmers/botters win.
BUT, this forge gambling feels meaningless, no sense of accomplishment, no feeling of making progress, even IF I DO GET LUCKY, the sense of achievement is severely diminished because others got there legendary in illegitimate ways.

Seafarers rest.
In the last 24 hours i’ve been finishing world completion on my latest favourite class.
Whilst doing these i have personally seen near 150 bots in Bloodtide coast, sparkfly fen, cursed shore, frostgorge sound and a few others.
Mainly ranger and warrior, but some have been necro’s, thiefs, gaurdians (i see these bots in WvW water bubble gangs often with rangers) and the odd elementalist, it makes me think that some of these may now be bought/sold accounts.
While i endeavoured to report them all, selecting each one in a group is a pain (and the sheer number of repeated name variations).
Its starting to annoy me that bot removal is so slow that its profitable for the bots to be using exotic weapons…
Not to mention the groups of bots in cursed shore that run around naked obviously botting day in/day out.

Is there a timeframe on action towards reported bots?
Is there a timezone where action time takes longer than average (does it vary per server TZ)?
Is there a variance on action time with regard to reported number of bots by a single person in quick succession.
I’m pretty adamant about bot reporting when i see them, which considering the amount of Late EU TZ WvW and alt leveling i do, its regular enough.
This post comes after reporting near 7 bots in a 10 bot group (all right on top of each other and too aggressive to split check all names) and then seeing the same ones, in the same spot 2 hours later.
This is more a way to satisfy my ‘why aren’t they kicked yet’ thoughts than criticism.

In case it wasn’t clear (as it seemed the case from a few following posts) Pandemic Legion left desolation to a server far lower in the ranks and whom we had never fought before.

I can’t see rampagers being of any use to me as i use no conditions, zerkers is on my mind however for obvious max dps chances.
As with my necro build, crit chance is too low for me to find crit damage ‘properly’ useful (though it is damnn nice to crit auto attack in lich form with blood buff now).
I do keep a focus for the small run buff cos yes the speed thing can become an issue in WvW.
Its still a toss up of zerkers, knights or invaders for me.
Valk’s works too but crit dmg + low crit chance is still iffy though may pay well from zerker illusion.

It is indeed, but afaik he only runs in Spvp, there are similarities but WvW can be very different (also armor choices).

Soooo, another level 80 on its way.
Currently running staff / sword-pistol(focus for speed buff >.< ).
As with my necro armor thread, i run small gang hit and runs, skirmishes and camp warfare.
Currently standing at 1300+ combat tokens and willing to drop them into a full exotic invader set (1866 iirc for full armor set) OR as with my other characters i can craft an exotic set.
Build is based around phantasms (called a ‘legion’ build).
Are phantasms hp/toughness a % of your own?
Does precision affect them?
Which is better to get first bezerkers? invaders? or other?

So thinking about it (and now being 80 in exalted valkyrie gear) i’m inclined to think necro crits are pretty underwhelming.
Such low crit potential makes me think anything precision/crit related is a waste.
As such power, tough, vitality is how i will go OR power,vitality, healing once i figure the benefits of healing on my build.
FYI i’m 30/0/10/30/0 dual dagger and staff

Me and my guild run smaller gangs for supply and sentry hit and runs, we constantly do these and don’t follow the zerg much (though we do help with better sieges and do supply and siege weapon runs for them).
For these the dual dagger is working best, conditions isn’t as viable as i had hoped (and tested through levels 30 to 70).
I was thinking beserkers for pure dps, but i am always drawn to the knights set for toughness.

Its not my first or second 80.
As with my others i’ll be making a WvW and Pve armor set.
WvW comes first though.
Most likely i’m going dual dagger/staff.
But i’m not sure of which crafted armor to make.
Any idea’s and suggestions from experience?
