Definition of Guild Commander Tag: A Commander Tag only Guild members can see

Problems in WvW:
Current Commander tags are great if you are leading a zerg, but that is one of the reasons why zergs became a meta.
From my personal experience tags are like laser pointers to a cat, your instincts tells you to chase it.
The stress of leading the public (and its expectations) is a turn off for commanders in training.

Benefits (of guild commander tags) in WvW:
Guild tags will force the players to split up.
Helps commanders to organize less experience players who are new to WvW, they find it difficult to follow Ctrl+T.
Gives commanders the option to lead their own guilds if they chose not to lead the pugs.
Helps groom new commanders for the upcoming HOT boarderlands gameplay as they can start leading small numbers (with lesser judgment).

Problem in PVE:
The entire map of players couldn’t tell the what the tags are for.
Map players may mistaken guild commanders for map events commanders.
Guild commanders are distress when map players mistaken guild events for map events.

Benefits (of guild commander tag) in PVE:
No confusion in the map for everyone

Disclaimer: There is nothing wrong with the current commander tag, its doing a good job, just that Guild Commander Tags will further enhance the gameplay organisation.

Guild Alliances Request

I totally agree! We are lacking community organisation. If Anet would check the guild rooster for every guild they would find less than 10% of the total members are either offline or not representing.

Does Anet not want old players to come back and play Gw2? Imagine coming back for an update and the first thing you noticed is being kicked out of your guild cause guilds need an active rooster.

What about Tequatl and Triple wurm? Megaservers makes it hard get every TTS members in their VOIP into the same map. There is no way you can coordinate random pugs using map chat. The data you collected from marionette proves it already.

Alliance is needed to group multiple guilds. Level 1 links 3 guild and level 2 links 5 guilds. They can share guild missions, visit guild halls, GvG, dungeon tours, pvp. the list goes on. Alliance can open up many opportunities. Gems store?

Too much Silk

If you were to use trading post to offer buy X silk for Y price you can get your silk very quickly.

Prices of silk stay 1.9 silver plus/minus.

What this shows is that even though there is ample supply, the crazy demand is outstripping supply.

So the problem lies with Anet over correction of silk prices by pushing demand need for crafting ascended way too high.

Either provide a stable way of farming silk and other cloth or lower their numbers needed for crafting.

Hearts Merchant daily: Reward crafting mats

Hearts Merchant after completing them rewards karma and that is it. You will never visit them ever other than on your alts. There is nothing else to do with them except using them for selling stuff or fun consumables.

I propose Hearts merchants to provide a daily. We get to repeat the hearts only once daily. The reward will also need to be relevant and attractive like crafting materials for our ascended gears. The rewards will need to be fixed too. Not something random. If we can choose it would be even better.

Problems:

So Guild wars 2 is has launch for more than a year now, many guild members have come and gone.

Many old guilds out there are facing inactivity issues. Guild UI show statistics like 20/500 members online.

Guild activity like Guild missions start lacking members. Guild dungeons and WvWvW runs have issues forming party. Gathering large number of people to do something just became so hard.

Old guilds with strong history find it difficult to merge guilds. People have bonds and fond memories that do not go away so easily. Disbanding guild is painful.

Perhaps a near future guild improvement announced by Arena Net will help determine who to kick for long time inactivity so that membership cap will be freed up for new members.

Nevertheless issues like hardcore world bosses (Teq and wurm) will never be possible for 1 single guild to handle alone. Even TTS uses multiple guilds (teq terror squad, taco terror squad, etc….) to form a mob for hardcore boss event. And there is problem of creating a TTS only overflow.


Solutions:

I believe the solution Arena Net is searching for is: Guild Alliance & Guild Hall

1. Guild Alliance is more than a just a new chat box.

Guild Alliance will allow one guild in the Alliance to broadcast guild missions or hardcore boss raid. Members will just have to click a button in the alliance UI to accept and teleport to:

1a. An overflow map for hardcore boss raid

1b. Guild Hall (does NOT exist, why Anet???) to gather up for Guild Bounty

2. Guild Hall can also provide portals for

2a. Teleport to a selected map for WvWvW for guild runs

2b. Selected Dungeon waypoint for runs

Additional features for guild halls can be purchased by gems. Be it decorative or more game functional convenience.

My friend finished 100% today (he discovered new poi in LA, then finished some other map cause i told him about this LA poi bug) and he received gifts. So it must be about new poi in LA. And it’s not our fault. We can’t do it on our own by revisiting maps, etc, what we ALREADY DID. So please, ANet IT IS a BUG and YOU have to FIX this.

I think Anet Devs should investigate in this area.

The premise to trigger the bug is to complete the maps in Lion Arch(under attack) using the 2 new POI as the last POI.

I am just glad the Devs are looking into it.

Previous responses from the Devs assume it was the old bug or mistakes by players, and that made me panic.

This is my second pair Gift of exploration so I’m aware the previous issues and have tried them all.

We had the problem since the patch release, its been the third day for me and other guys.

I hope the Dev could identify this as a new bug affecting gift of exploration.

Some Dev responded to player saying check Chantry of secrets and wobble chest.

The older bug a year ago has a work around but this new one does not.

Especially when Lion Arch turn from TOWN to Instance.

Same problem here: 100% map complete on the log-in screen

1. Went into Chantry of Secrets thrice.
2. Port into every map to make sure wobble chest is claimed.
3. Go Lion Arch event to claim that 2 new POI

Submit a bug support with screenshot, hope Anet fix it soon.

I did this before on my 1st character no bugs.
This is the 2nd character and bugged.

Ele in WvW

If you happen to be on a Gold League (intense fighting), you need:

Traits: Water 20 or 30 (traits that heal or cleanse and increases your health) and Arcana 20 or 30 (blasting staff , elemental attunement).

Gear: Full soldiers armor & trinkets, runes and upgrades optional (your preference)

Play style: Water fields and fire fields for blast finishers (healing and might), CC are frozen ground, static field and unsteady ground.

Air staff 1 or Fire staff 2,3,5 to tag downed players for loot bags when your zerg is winning.

Stay away from frontline fights, you are squishy.

And finally you are most welcomed by any zerg but you may find it an unrewarding role.

Elemental Attunement: Mandatory but not OP

I agree with OP, coming from Gold league WvW staff ele , despite equipping soldiers stats, our base Health and Armor still makes us squishy to zerg trains.

We have to go deep into traits like:

1. Water for Healing & Health (survival)

2. Arcana for Elemental Attunement (swiftness for zerg, regen for cleanse with water trait)

I try to quit Ele in wvw but my Guild Leader refused, we are still the meta for water fields.
