im afraid just because you played since the start doesn’t mean your info is correct, if there is a chest for any achievement then there is a small chest icon in the achievement panel which you can hover over to see what the item is, no teq achievements have this.
not saying that what your saying is wrong about what you were doing, but it must be difficult to perma watch the count, use your skills for speed boost and repair, could have missed one.
a lot of bag items wont open in pvp or the pvp outpost, leaving pvp will allow you to open although doesn’t fix the issue
there are 2 defence teams, can you 100% confirm that you covered the repairs on both sets of turrets and that none of them went down at any point, its a large area to cover.
the chests you get have nothing to do with achievements they are for successfully completing the defence stages, there is no item reward for completing the achievements only the sunbringer title for completing 10 achievements.
as I don’t know what class and build you are I tested the run with 0 swiftness and it takes 42 seconds (with no stopping to repair) to run from one end of the turrets through to the last turret on other defence and back, from my experience that is more than enough time to lose a turret and get it back.

exactly, you used a light recipe and it unlocked it at the tailor. you can get all crafts on a single character which is why it lets you use them. if you had a recipe on armorsmith for an ascended heavy breastplate then at some point you have bought that recipe.
from what ive seen anet will not refund player mistakes so your unlikely to get anything back. your armor is still usable on a heavy character, id suggest giving it to that instead ifyou have one.
without standing there and watching the count for how many turrets are up the entire fight its almost impossible to confirm this. one single turret goes down at any point and the achievement is failed even if they are rebuilt straight away.
a light recipe is only usable on a tailor station, you cant use the a light recipe at a armorsmith station to get a heavy armor piece. so if you made a heavy breast plate you bought the heavy recipe.
since you have two I would suggest salvaging one to see if that unlocks the skin, just an idea to think about.
- Scholar Riagan (Bloodtide Coast) – the event is supposed to start after protecting the camp. However it takes forever, and by the time it spawns, the people that protected the camp are already gone because they give up on waiting. Event fails when Riagan dies, and he dies pretty fast when there is noone to protect him.
The event does take a while to respawn when failed which isn’t always a bad thing, its meant to make people succeed, too many people have the attitude that failing to farm is better, the fact that people give up because it takes a long time to respawn doesn’t make it bugged, ive helped several people do this event over the last week just need a bit of patience and about 5 people to make sure he doesn’t die cause hes a squishy.
you sure this isn’t just a big piece of ice floating a long way off in the distance, either way im not sure its actually a bug just something they have put in the distance to add a bit of depth to the arena from the spawn point.
if you are trying to make a generic weaponsmith item and not something that requires you to purchase the recipe first then you would need to put all the items in on the discovery panel first, since you said you didn’t discover it there is no reason why It would be in your list when searching, put the items into discovery and see if it adds the recipe afterwards.
also im wondering what it is your actually trying to make
1 Bronze Spear Head, 1 Large Green Haft and 1 Vial of Weak Blood will give you a lvl 5 spear.
1 Bronze Spear Head, 1 Large Green Haft and 1 Mighty Green Inscription will give you a lvl 10 spear.
both of these have a req of 0 to make, you don’t need all 4 items in one go.
Hope ive been of some assistance.
hi bishop, if your in euro add me to your friends list and give me a shout next time you see me online and ill come with my mes to help you with the jump to your last coin if you haven’t done it by then.
the gift of ascalon isn’t used in any mystic forge recipies, they are used in crafting ones.
which craft depends on which item your going for.
if you include the priest of Balthazar (which doesn’t come from the set 1 gemstore boxes) it makes the total 55 minis, as you all know by your achievement there is only 54 needed, now if quaggan isn’t the culprit then I only have 4 to get to narrow this down as im rebuying them all to get the new achievements, the only ones I don’t have atm are oakheart, undead chicken, orrian wraith and krait witch. hoping to get 1 mini every 3 days cause of their prices atm so fingers crossed I can work this out as I add them.
this is what I think has happened, the priest of balth doesn’t count at all for the set 1 achievement so you can ignore him, now looking at what people have said in game and by my own experiences I believe the corrupted quaggan is the culprit, if you had the old version of it then it didn’t unlock properly, where as if you bought the mini since the feature pack with the new changed name then it did unlock correctly. I personally didn’t have this mini in my bank at the time and it updated fine for me, I have exactly the number of minis im supposed to have.
hope this little nugget of info helps.
that one listed at 19g is what is causing the average to be a lot higher. which just proves what I previously posted. same with the light adventurers goggles from dry top, the reason the initial item price is 50g is because there is 1 of them listed at over 200g forcing the average to be way higher than it should be.
every item in the game (whether the item exists, or is usable or not) has a chat link code, someone has just data mined the link code for an item that shows a skin with nothing there.
so in reference to your assumption, the item linked is not part of the game as we see it, but it is in the games coding, its obvious why someone would pick that code to link but there are some rather funny ones in the .dat file as well
from what I understand the first price it shows when you search, in your example of gold isn’t the price of the item, its the average of the buy and sell prices. so add every buy and sell listing together and devide by the number of listing will give you that number. then you click on it and it will show you lowest seller.
I got to 29/30 without any guides, gave up in the end and followed dulfy video guide 3 times and still couldn’t work out where my missing one was. turns out number 7 on the dulfy video guide is easy to miss
if you right click and select to sell an item and the TP opens at the sell page, and you then select the other item it can cause what you are describing.
what it basically does is keeps the item you have selected to sell then puts that with the value of the next item you later chose (it wont sell for lower than highest bidder of original item to my knowledge), I know of someone that accidentally sold a precursor for highest bidders price rather than what he had planned to sell it for because of this.
did you put in a bug report in game when it happened, or contacted support with times and names of the items so they can track what has happened easier. I don’t believe its possible to get any of your items back or sort out the prices as someone else has them now but it should help fix the issue one day.
this might be better in the tech part of forums rather than bugs as it sounds like either a corrupt file or your cards not working as intended.
id suggest doing a repair of your client incase changing your card caused something to become corrupted then if that doesn’t work try and see if there is any fault with the card. I cant remember the way to repair client but im sure someone will soon pop it here
that is a mistlock instability which start at fractal lvl 31. To my knowledge that is working as intended.

could it be relative to the camera, if your camera cant move 180 degrees without hitting something then it wont like it, just an idea maybe worth checking out.
another topic on forum says otherwise and that a dev claimed (by other players) it was indeed a bug and they were looking into it, this was only a couple of pages in. less than 2 weeks ago.

your opinion is your opinion, but please show me your evidence of “proven majority” hating skyhammer. over 3 million accounts, id like to know how you know the numbers of farmers/players and their oppinions.
if you don’t like what anet have given you doesn’t mean they haven’t given anything, im not disputing the player base has asked for many things and we will never see a lot of them, I was responding to the fact that a person said we had such little perma content added to the game. wanting something doesn’t give you the right to have it though, I want every legendary in the game, doesn’t mean I expect anet to ever hand it to me, its their game to add what they want.
like I said, that’s 5 mins with about 10 people that were on in my guild, you cant deny though that these with the exception of moa racing, were perma added, and still are in the game. the list could go on for quite a while longer, laurels, guild missions, etc, I wasn’t “padding it” at all. people only want to see the negative in things because it gives them something to complain about, and the people that bring up no new content obviously haven’t seen what they have been given.
29th july 2013 I asked about the woman on the helm on wiki, no one seemed to know who the woman was meant to be, I personally think its dwayna but cant prove
In 1 year and 9 months since release the only permanent content that has been added is Southsun Cove, TA Aetherblade Path, FOTM and EOTM.
I wouldn’t really call that “amazing”.
The following is what my guild came up with in under 5 mins, and im sure there is a lot more we missed. if you only see those 4 things its cause that’s what your letting yourself see.
Southsun Cove
Crab toss
Sanctum Sprint
A lot of dynamic events they didn’t tell us about at the time they added them
TA aetherblade path
FoTM
EoTM
Belcher’s Bluff
Spirit hammer pvp map
Moa racing(currently not there atm due to destruction of LA)
Spirit watch pvp map
The new pvp map I cant remember its name came with feature patch
Karka queen world event
Triple trouble world event
Ascended armor and accessories
Pve wallet
and more wvw abilities.
first things first, can you confirm you are on the same server as the rest of the guild, guild upgrades are based on server so you might not have a guild bank unlocked on yours even if the rest of the guild have one. I believe this is also true for guild commendations, if you aren’t on the same server as your guild have you tried guesting first to see if that works.
the krytan one is because it has no time, as they cant be unlocked to be perma there is no built in clock, to progress to the next area you must complete kryta, easier to leave them at the bottom imo.
you have unlocked CoE and AC paths via dungeon story, therefor the time on them is unlimited which is why they are top, arah is time restrained cause of rotation
if you have the enemy which is elevated as the target the staff should compensate for the angle, however if your jut attacking forward without the enemy targeted I believe it is a flat attack going by its animation therefor I believe it will miss people above.
That doesn’t really ring true to me, Illumine. In just about every Crab Toss match I’ve played, once the match is over everybody except me (I play to get 3 wins every time Crab Toss is available) quits out. Occasionally there’s one other player who stays, but they usually quit out after two or three matches too.
so you play 3 matches at a time, and others that do that you have seen quit after 2-3. reasons why people stop at about that number are completely different, I do the same in all pvp situations, im currently doing it in pvp on my ele, after each 3 matches ill leave and pick a new map.
just cause you think otherwise doesn’t mean all guardians that leave and rejoin are doing it for the aegis benefit, as I posted before, im all for the removal of it.
the champ weapons can drop from any tier bag though, even the white ones. I received stardust from a white bag at the queensdale spider on a lvl 22 character.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Embroidered_Belt_Pouch
is the only champ bag dropped in wvw to my knowledge, even in eotm map.
if im planning on doing crab toss for an extended period of time I will exit out after every 2-3 matches and rejoin, not because of the aegis issue but to try and get dif opponents, not knowing how the opposition are gonna play makes you think more tactically, so saying you can tell who they are cause they quit out isn’t valid imo.
As someone that plays there guardian almost exclusively I can confirm that our inherent aegis allows us 1 free block from any attack. while its not a major thing you could almost just say hit the guardian once before match properly starts and away you go I don’t think its fair myself.
We should all have a level playing field, but I can garauntee we don’t always get the crab first and don’t always win, ive won by a 100 point margin with no aegis so a lot of skill is also needed, but I would like to see this fixed so the skill of the can show through.
in respect to the greifing thing, ive also had this after a win, someone just constantly attacking me, when questioned I was told it was because I won the last match, I don’t deserve to win a second, unfortunately I don’t think there is anything that can be done about these people, they could just argue I thought they had the crab.
tl:dr as OP said and I agree fix it so guardians don’t spawn with aegis (maybe a karka knocks down everyone at start)
I’ve just logged off for the night so im unable to assist, but if you can do something else for now, add me in game and when I log on tomorrow I can come and help if you still need it.
went to Caledon forest for daily maguuman vet achievement, and when I got to the area south of TA dungeon I noticed a large number of stone heads around the outside, one of which is glowing a lot, now ive been playing for a long time, and ive never noticed these before, does anyone know if ive just been ignorant to them or of they are new since scarlets drill did its work.
if its the latter then ty anet, I love finding things like this ands trying to work out why its done it.
Tsuru Whitewing maybe the tengu version of Evon Gnashblade and could be our mysterious merchant we are waiting to encounter for blade shards.
they have been added to the loot table for all of scarlets minions, since the blades are now a perma item to the game, even watchwork sprockets can be turned into them via the mystic forge, since that puzzle is full of aetherblades it makes sence for there to be blades in there.
glory was removed as a reward in the latest patch, also I believe you will need to spend the glory you have before they remove the glory vendors from pvp outpost.
I think they should add all the living story sections to the my story tab in hero panel, with a box somewhere that gets ticked if we achieved the meta reward or something, I was just looking back through mine to have a catchup on what I had done and got to the end and thought, well what next.
this would also let people know what has happened since leading up to where we are now. maybe in my story a personal story and living story subsections, what do people think.
If you’re not going to go into specifics, no wonder the bug never got fixed.
There’s no point of going into specifics with people who have no power to fix the issue. Like I said, if someone at arenanet wants specifics they can message me and we can discuss the issue in private.
If you don’t want the wider gw2 player base to comment on your post the forum is the worst place to put it, I would suggest email or support ticket to ascertain whether or not this is intended behaviour, speaking only direct to them can get you what you seek.

OK, so I grabbed my engi (and an extra set of spinal blades that was going to him anyway), and went in. Additional spoilers incoming!
There is more info on the other two consoles (I assume it was not mentioned by the OP, as the dragon was the main point): The drill was designed as a sort of magical ‘keg tap,’ pulling out magic from the ley lines and letting it flow freely there. Its also autonomous, and will continue to function even after Scarlet’s death (probably even after wiping everything else from the map too).
My own conclusions from this:
1) LA is officially nuked for the duration. Probably well past LS Chapter 2.
2) LA will probably become the dragon’s roost once woken up. And/or the focus for every other major fight (requiring large amounts of magic) from here onwards.
can I ask why LA would be the dragons roost, in the final scene where you see the line going through scenery etc it cuts through kryta, through the thermo reactor in metrica province and out into the forest west of rata sum where it sinks into the ground and we see the dragon, surely there would be its home.

maybe you should do what some servers do with lower populations, pick one or two spawns a day and only do those. the one we chose hasn’t failed since the update and almost always ends up with 35-50 on each knight by the end of it.
you say no pre warning on the lazer, you mean you cant see the big orange lines on the floor? this is the first person ive seen say about this issue but I do know some colourblind people cant see the red aoe rings, maybe its something similar.
the knights aren’t hardcapped at 50 people, the players are hardcapped at 50 people being able to get the buff, there are always more people at red than the 50 that can get the buff on our server and they are the last knight to go down even though green has 30-35 people. so I would guess you have more than 50 people.
we only do 1 serious run a day with a lot of new people and upscaled people and manage to do it with 4-5 mins left so I would say you’ve either got a lot of auto attacking people or too many at a specific knight.
can I ask when you acquired the skin, from what I understand only the skins purchased via black lion tickets are sellable, the ones you have gotten via living story are not, I may be wrong on this and I hope someone can confirm for me.
