I’ve been running a 20/20/30 with bountiful interupts. I never thought about using halting strikes. I’m gonna have to test this tonight.

I would reccommend using 20 20 0 0 30 and use everything the same as reg shatter but use extra bounce in illusions tree and halting strike in domination

That’s really silly. You got rid of an extra 20% mind wrack damage, which is an extra 20% damage on your mind wracks every 10 seconds, for a possible extra small amount of damage on your diversions, occurring once every 30 seconds or so? And you call that sustained damage? That’s ridiculous.

I am a rank 53 mesmer on anvil rock with over 2k games on mesmer alone and halting strike is amazing if used properly. Although if you look at statistically speaking it shouldnt be viable but it is especially if your good 5k to squishys with no internal cd is amazing and top mesmers like helseth are using it sooooo >.>

That you say mesmer is useless is completely ignorant and stupid. I Play a rank 50 mesmer in PVP and they are far from useless. I have over 2000 games played on mesmer so i would know. Mesmers are not only one if the best classes but also one of the hardest we have to have highest reaction time out of all the classes and the best map awareness(right next to a thief of course) so to say that mesmer is useless when u have only played it for a couple of weeks is stupid.and mesmers dont have to stay in melee range its called positioning why dont u get some

This Thread is pointless, This is basically a threade for those people who are getting pug stomped in free tournies the way to avoid this is to start your own premade. Just with randoms but get them on a voip and that will improve ur chances 10×. To say premades cant enter frees is making it 30x harder to get tickets and people use premades to go into paids so if they have no tickets they cant do paids. This would domino onto the whole pvp system and almost eliminate premades entirely

Dunno why you posted all this stuff. I made a post addressing this very thing in the “how to counter a ranger” thread.
If classes are forced to bring builds and abilities that are sub-optimal for fighting the other 7 classes in an attempt to have a CHANCE at beating a trap ranger it means ONE thing.
Rangers are overpowered.
But hey, thanks for spending a large amount of time trying to prevent a nerf to a build that obviously needs one. Peace.|

Hes not defending the class or the build hes simply helping people that cant get around trap rangers to do so. I think this post helps the spvp community, also any guide to counter a class should be viewed as helpful .

Like Powerr Mentioned the fact that teams are playing eachother multiple times in a row is a problem that should be dealt with. PZ constantly faces the same team and knows that its that team so there is no fun in it, especially if there winning without trying everytime. At some point the game will become tedious, and uneventful. I reccomend that the devs crack down on this problem before the top teams just get bored and quit.

What you’ve done is basically found out who the elitist are in SPVP not necessarily the top players. Map chat is full of people that think they’re the best and people that feed their egos. For One some of your “acknowledgements” are better than the players u numbered and some people who are good aren’t even on the list. Lastly also some players who aren’t good at all but just hangout with some “known” people are on the list especially in the elementalist column.

You also have to take it into account that in PVE you can get a legendary in approximately 6 months when people have been playing this game since Release and are only ranks 54,58 on the high ends. You can’t make it rank 100 or whatever because that’s unrealistic and it’s so much easier to get it in PVE,when you’re trying to make a balance between PVE and PVP they need to be equal.

Hey everyone Chickenlitle here just wanted to make a post about the fact that there aren’t any legendary weapons in SPVP. I propose that Arena Net implements a system where at let’s say 1,000,000 glory you can exchange that for legendary weapon of your choice or 750,000 glory for a one-handed weapons. Many of us were disappointed when a net did not come out with any Christmas themed weapons during the Christmas event, so I think this is a very good time to implement legendary weapons also it allows people that aren’t exactly in the competitive scene to have a goal for spvp.
