The Dreamer was muted, could we please mute Super Adventure Glider as well?

Try adjusting your settings to OFF instead of Projectile only ?

Added two new options to the Sound Options panel that will allow you to determine how items with unique sound effects play back on your game client. The four options are listed below and can be independently specified for both your items and other players’ items:

All: All unique item sound effects will play back without restrictions (as they have traditionally).
Limited: Unique item sounds will have a chance to play but will usually fall back to default sound effects.
Mute Projectiles Only: Unique item sounds originating from projectile attacks (such as Quip and the Dreamer) will be muted, and all others will play normally.
Off: Unique item sound effects will be completely disabled, and default sound effects will play in their place.

Sadly Dreamer was muted permanently and annoying people still annoy you with new toy.

Expansion/Skins suggestion

Im pretty sure there will/already are tons of skins prepared for mounts.
How about we skin another part of the game as well? I mean ranger pets.
Along with new pets Im pretty sure some people would like to ‘pimp out’ their pets.
Different fur/scale patterns, glasses, hats, some mini outfits.

I would insta buy one thing, we (rangers) will get new flying potato pet… make a Flying Sphagetti Monster skin for it and you are drowning with money

Okay, Anet is pulling significant devforce from finishing current (promised) expansion into work on the new one. So… will they again release expansion 0.5 with the rest of things promised to be finished later on and then they will drop it again?
Will I be tempted by empty promises for the second time? The answer is obvious.

When HoT was released it totally wasnt worth the price in my opinion.
Paying second time 100% of original price for an expansion (yes, Im an old date player and I’m used to times where expansions were like 50% price of the base game. Its totally logical imo since expansions are usually not more than 30-50% of original game content) for a freaction of the new content comparing to the base game was totally ridicolous in my opinion.
What convienced me were two things.
The promises of the expansion developement, which added to the base HoT content would sum up in some noticeable new content amount. (I have to add here that by looking and experiencing the developement of the base game – whole scarlet act, new major patches with fractals, LS2, etc. – I was expecting a little faster pace.)
Second thing was simply conviencing by a group of friends.
Right now Anet, you lost both of those points. Friends left/took a break from the game due to stall developement, and I got disappointed by the slow pace of updates and now going back on your deliver promises.
So Im not buying any other thing or expansion with anything unfinished but “promised” instead. Sorry, you got my trust once, but thats it.

Imo Anet should pull off all the people from the new expansion team and make them work on the current one to deliver what they promised. You should start work on new expansion when the current one is about 80% done.

Personally about 50% of things that I expected from HoT hype spoilers season are nowhere near finished and with this rate probably never will be. My expectations for HoT were very high considering all the things promised, and looking at the base-game developement from the start. Up until now it was going REALLY slow, but I was okay with that. But recent news are really disappointing.

So… let me sum it up Mr.Director.
Nearly half a year passing since HoT realease and we got what?
1 new (wing of the) raid, 1 boss reworked, 1 legendary pvp back, and …thats all of the “major” additions to the game.
Im not counting the new stuff that came with HoT cause thats what you have been working earlier, so it shouldnt be counted to the past 6 months.

We have 0 new LS, 0 new dungeons/fractals, and not even 1 update to the game that could be counted as bigger/major one. And now you are announcing that the rest of 2nd generation of legendary wepons are on hold? Its really laughable, sorry.

Personally as probably vast majority of players, I was convienced that 2nd generation of legendary weapons would be finished in about a year time. I counted like 2-3 released per 3 months. We have promised one (!) after nearly 6 months and then this is it?

With all the slow and so far really minimalistic updates, somehow you manage to add new outfits, gliders, weapon skins per 2-3 weeks. I wish that game content had a such good and often updates as gameshop. Maybe its worth to move some of the people from shop-development-team to the legendary-development-team or the rest of the game content?

Don't allow players to change class

Right now its the change countering game whoever can do it faster or who will get stuck when the time runs up.

To make it “fair” (yes, I quote fair because there always will be a different opinion on fair and you cant please everyone at once), we should have 3 phases instead of 2 as we have now. I would propose something like that:

Phase 1 (45sec time):
Blind pick. We can see our team composition but can’t see enemy classes. At this time we can freely change classes to build a team of whatever we want.

Phase 2 (45sec):
We are now locked with our previously picked/changed classes. We can see enemy team. Its simply the time to change our build, skills, traits, weapons, whatever.

Phase 3 (10sec):
Just like now, countdown before the game starts.

For DS there is really simple solution.
Get a fairly fresh map (2h-1,5h) and start taxi-ing ppl by yourself
You dont really need a commander tag or anything, just know what you are doing and hope that the rest knows as well. Imo DS with randoms is still easier to make than triple trouple with randoms.

In the old times when character reached 80lvl, it was still able to “lvl up” by filling again experience bar and by doing so it was rewarded with skill point. Somewhere along the way skillpoint were converted into spirit shards and those were then the reward for ‘leveling up’. And then came HoT, we got introduced to Mastery Ranks and we can train those in our past-80’s-lives. But what when someone has already mastered all mastery paths? All that gained exp is being ‘wasted’ and here is an idea about getting back some symbolic rewards for filling up that huge exp bar again and again.

First of all I would like to stress that I dont mean it as a way to profit. I just would like to see some symbolic reward for getting a level again.

First of all anet would have to implement some kind of mechanic or check-function if character has nothing more to put their experience in, in their Tyria/HoT tab. Some sort of “max developement” point (which naturally will be going up as we will be getting some new masteries in the future), and if the requirement is met then experience bar can be filled again and again at the highest mastery level in the tab (currently 5,1kk exp if Im not mistaken?). And ofcourse after filling it the character will receive some king of reward.

Type of the reward and the amount in my opinion can be almost anything, 10 random t6 mats, 10 spirit shards, some random exotic part, I personally dont mind getting anything, I would like that all that exp wont simply be for nothing in the endgame.

Lets face it, old skill points were after some time useless as well, but we all felt at least a little rewarded after getting one Even if it was already our 10th full stack in wh :P

Simple solution would be the one that Chad suggested, make all spawnable item unable to be placed one on top of other and setting some minimal distance between them.

The model doesnt really matter if you are used to its jumping animation. Fall damage masteries doesnt really help when you are falling down 5k+ distance (sw skritt ship part, not so secret googles, fallen hopes bamboo etc..), not to mention that in case of googles even if you survive missed landing you still fail and have to get back on top to redo the jump.

What really gets me is the difficulty of some jumps. For example if character can jump 20pixels up, then platform is at 19pixels up so you have to make a pull exactly at max height to make it, otherwise ofc you fall into nothigness and have to redo from start. I dont really mind restarting some puzzle when I fail some jump, but I have to see that its possible instead of seeing the animation where my character has only a nose at the level of next platform even tho it was max of its jump height. Thats way too confusing and leaves practically no room for error.

Aaaand I just spend whole 2h in the Fallen Hopes prt ttrying to get on that bamboo top to jump into the haystack. Cant get through part of jumping around vertical pale of bamboo near the top…

I guess I’ll leave that be and go play some-other-popular-moba-game for now…

To be honest I really enjoyed most of the classic jumping puzzles like Spiral, Viziers Tower or the one in Firehart’s Rise with the mining shaft and quakes. Those were fun, sometimes easy, sometimes not puzzles where you had to find them first and then think a little on your way up/down.

But recent jumping puzzles or achievements with elements like “walk on 3 pixel wide line”, “jump into 1 pixel too-far-to-see pond” or “jump on the 2 pixel wide bamboo sticks and do 30° turn midair” are simple ragequit elements for me. Especially when you fail them for oven an hour and if you want to progress your character you HAVE to do them…

But lets face it, really good people will finish them, majority of the rest will buy them from mesmers for gold and the rest of the players will only get annoyed.
I belive that hard puzzles like that (and each other “additional” element of the game) should be optional, not mandatory in the terms of the endgame.

Anet please fire your platform game departament and lets get serious with the mmo part of the game. ..

Hey,
For starters I would like to say that I always valued GW2 for its versatility and many possible options to do one thing. For example you could exp by traditional grinding, discovering map, crafting, wvw – basically any way that was fun/good for you.
But… with the expansion I feel like anet is trying to fore people into (some pretty hard) things that were optional until now and not everyone were finding fun in participating in. In this case I would like to talk about jumping puzzles and tyrian/red mastery points linked to them.

Few examples:

Dive mastery – “Oh you would like this mastery point/achievement but you arent good/dont like jumping puzzles? Fine, we will put the googles on top of one of the harder jumping puzzles and will make you blind jump into 1pixel point below with multiple obstacles midway. You’re welcome.”
Honestly, I spent on that puzzle+googles over 4h, made 7+ unsuccesfull jumps. Didnt get an achievement but did get the feeling like quiting the game, gj anet. Person who projected this jp/google should go without salary until he or she finished it without single error.

Golden Lost Badges SW – another sick jumping puzzle map linked to the mastery point…

Fallen Hopes achievements – another (this time unexpectedly short – was the person designing it maybe not feeling well that day?) jumping puzzle that is mandatory to the whole chapter mastery point.

So here is my question, should we expect in the future more stuff like that? I mean there arent many mastery points to choose from at the moment, maybe it will change in near future, but the question is if we will be forced to play even the aspects of the game that we dont enjoy that much to be able to fully develop our characters?
Yes, Im not a big fun of jumping puzzles. Yes Im not very good at them. Yes, trying to get mastery point from them and failing for hours makes me regret buying the expansion…

So please fix it somehow…

Yes, you are correct, but not fully. Account ID and password can be guessed/broken by any bruteforce software. But there is also 3rd piece to that set, email.
Im just saying that mobile auth should have also an option to be removed by email acces, the same like you change password. I treat it as the same level of security measures so the options on them should be equal.

But true to that IF the support will manage to restore my account and reset mobile auth, I hope to set it to my own cell until some other hacker will exploit it.

Other thing is that new implemented security measures like that should be forced on player upon first log in. As it was implemented during my off time, no info during log in on forums/to the game, so I had no idea about it. And since there werent any incident with my accout, I didnt check every single setting in looking for new things.

I hope that someone from support team will read this topic and will think of one of two option that I presented, forcing ppl to use (or just force informmessage) new security features, or make them easier to reset

Im not sying it would be easier.
Im saying that if there was an alternative way to turn if off, I could do it myself (as owned of the account and email) and reactivate it for my mobile.
I could manage with this hack by my own simply by doing that, as hacked didnt do much dmg by the time I noticed first breach and changed the password. But since he used mobile code set on his mobile I can do nothing but as support for help.
I could have saved the option of restoring account for future if will happend any other force breaches through my password, but now I cant, and that is probably bigger loss than an account that hackers is cleaning right now.

Well, the idea is good, but the security option in mobile authenticator are very limited.
First of all there should be an option to turn it off some alternative way than only by having access to the mobile, I mean like e-mail hotling or something.
Why? here is situation that Im facing right now.

I had a little over a year of break off GW2, recently came back to it and had no idea of that option, so ofcourse I hadnt it turned on. Now my account got hacked by some Korean dude, and I could manage it by myself simply by changing password (and that worked), but unfortunately during his first hack he turned mobile authentication to his mobile, and hacked me again, now using mobile code to log in.

Ofcourse I reported the matter to the suport and requested bringig back the account, but… I wouldnt have to do it if there was an alternative way to turn of mobile auth.
Now I have used the ‘one time per account’ request while situation could be handled way easier without involving the support time and resources into it.

Please dont get me wrong, Im glad that Arena is thinking and implementing new security ways to make our account safe, but right now in my opinion a simple tool that supposed to be an additional security, turned into the master key to my account, which is sad.

Unhappy with chest rewards

GW2 was great cause it was giving you bunch of different ways to play the game.
One person farmed pvp and wvw, other farmed dungeons and fractals and someone could farm boss trains or temples. You could do things you like and ignore the things you dont like. Now Arena is trying to force us into playing everything a bit or mostly things that they see fit, and that sux kitten.

Not to mention that in fact pve is getting more and more less profitable.
Now when guild mate will ask for help in particular part in dungeon most replies will be ‘sorry m8, not even chest drops anymore, waste of time’. The same was done X time ago when world bosses started dropping daily chests only, not every kill chest like it was after game release. That resulted in situations that on some servers bossers like Shatterer, Jormag or Megadestroyer were killed only once daily, cause later all the people who already did it didnt help, and the rest was too weak to kill it in time.

Boss schedule is by far the worst GW2 “update” and probably the worst of the all games I played so far.
Not only it makes you drop your life/work/family to be able kill specific boss on a set times but also lets hear all that herald in Tyria:
“Dear Tyrians! From now on Tequatl will be atacking us everyday at X hour!”

Suggestion:
If you necessarily want to cut costs ofthe server or whatever, then do the mighty megaserver but bosses should have random timers like before. For example: Jormag 3h+1,5h random. That would guarantee that there will be rotation with the bosses hours for everyday, giving people who have lives fight different bosses from time to time.

My playing time will be signiffically reduced due to changes in making regular dungeond chests a daily thing. I enjoyed runnig my fav dungeon paths with different people, chests didnt make it really profitable, but thanks to them it wasnt also a waste of time. Now without a single chest from path its no point in running if you dont have to.

Sadly Im starting to see that terms ‘balance’ and ‘fun’ are slowly taken by ‘profit’ in this game. Arena is reducing/removing most of the ingame drops/loots/whatever and on that place is expanding gem shop giving you new ways to spend money. But… why would I spend money on a game that Im spending less and less time in?

Not a waste of time, one of the fastest way of lvling other chars, 70% in 10min run ftw
But that new change definetly suck, soon it will be no reason to log in tthe game for, lol.
End bonus chest reward at dungeons/fractals once a day is enough but making all chests along the path daily? Soon there will be update that we can use salvage kit only once a day or cap particular camp in wvw only daily.
I wonder if Arena is trying to make ppl less interested in playing or what?

The same is happening in AC dungeon.
I have ran p1/p3 over 10 times and always no chests. The miniatures are visible on the mini map, but in fact they are not there. Running around and spaming looting also doesnt work. As I asked ppl this happens for some, for some not.

Trading post is ‘eating’ money…
I just sold 10 Unidentified Dyes for lowest sell price 4,97 / piece, that should give me 49 silver 70 bronze, but when items got sold, I got only 44,71 from Trading Post NPC…
so… where is the rest of my money?

To answer probably obvious hints, I didnt misscalculated price, and I did calculated the costs of placing a sell item. This was strictly monet that I should get from NPC.

I tried the same with couple other items, and I always got less that I wanted to sell for.
So do we have another bug or am I missing some hidden costs?
