Just did this in the first burn phase with 50+ people and nobody got it so it seems bugged.

Let go of wsad before you initiate backstab and your char will turn towards the target on it’s own.

I can’t even see the targets. I’m starting to think something is bugged here because I’m shooting in the exact same spot as everyone else and nothing..

Every time after the finish line, although if it takes 30s or 3 min has differed.

He was a pretty new player and I think maybe he got one as a drop and didn’t notice it believing that he got it from the forge. He defacto got one, and no way he had the money to buy one as new as he was. This is the most likely explanation.

I agree. Along with downstate traits they are just filler across all classes.

This. Who the hell uses this trait? The ONLY place it’s even logical is in WvW if you are running away off cliffs. And the same question applies here. Who does that? IT’s a silly trait that should never had made it in game. It’s just a filler trait across all classes same with down state damage.

A guildie claims to have gotten one from four whites, and I outright called BS but he insistent for months now and others within the guild have corroborated the story. This is the first time I ever hear anyone getting that. An official Anet response would be cool? Ofc, if it is possible the chances must be astronomically small and not at all worth it but I would still like some clarification on this.

Personally I REALLY don’t think that ANet want to put people into the position of having to decide which of their beloved toons they want to delete to make way for the new profession on day 1 of HoT.

Which is the scary part. This is a non-discussion issue. Ofc they should. But as someone else wrote, I would not be surprised if they made a deluxe edition with extra slot and a normal without. (ANet I hope you are reading and doing the opposite of what I fear).

To be precise here, I’m talking about the last mission on latest LS, but it really does apply to most achievements where nothing needs to be done until the very end, which is an encounter.

You go through a previous LS mission to get the achievements, you fail at something and now I have to either finish the mission in it’s entirety and choose to restart from the challenge mote, OR, I need to redo the whole mission. Both take about the same time. Why can’t I just opt out like you would normally leave an instance, but have the same effect the mote has? Hey I failed, I want to restart at the boss encounter; but i can’t.

I mean, I’ve done the mission; I’ve watched the cinematics, and I only want to play for achievements. The achievements part should not involve redoing entire missions just because you messed up one thing. Some people would argue that “duh, it’s an ACHIEVEMENT for a reason!”. I get that.

But since the devs supposedly pride themselves on running the least grindy MMO to date, I figure redoing whole missions over and over again is only grounds for great frustration, not fun.

AT LEAST make the cut scenes skippable, because I doubt anyone want to see the same cut scene however many times it takes to complete an achievement.

This is ridiculous. It’s been come-and-go unplayable lag, disconnects and what not for MONTHS. Fire responsible staff and hire someone who can do his/hers job.

I was just about to make a thread for this. You claimed to have reworked what I came here to discuss. Cause I still get premades of 3-5 players while we’re all solo (judging by guild tags). It’s a drawback with this new system really cause teams can end up against what was formerly known as “solo queue” people.

Also. Remove courtyard, people TDM on the rest anyway, and it messed with camera SO bad its unplayable half the time if you play a mobile class like thief.

edit/ Also, I’ve yet to play a close game. We either steam roll or get steam rolled. You only made PvP worse, except eleminating the 4v5. But since skill is so unbalanced now anyway, it doesnt even matter. GG

Some cinematic can be skipped, some can’t. I don’t know why. I do know however, that when trying the achievements it’s really annoying to have to watch the cinematic over again. I don’t even watch them the first time, that’s how interested in lore I am, and you’re forcing me to sit through them every single time!

Yes i am fing forced! I’m not that great with certain classes but i still want to play and not be a burden to people. Team queing alone is even worse than SQ. It makes no sense to put a cap on it kitten , it’s kittened. At best.

I was playing some hot join today, and saw that I wasn’t progressing in my reward track because apparently there’s a cap on that now for hot join. This forced me into SQ just so i could get reward track progress. That’s BS.

I switched to google dns in my adapter settings and everything seems to be working as normal. Interestingly, I could previously access the forums but not guildwars2.com directly..

It would be good to have a keybind for stow pet, since if you have ’Zephyr’s Speed’, you’ll gain quickness as soon as the pet reappears in combat. Same applies to Mighty Swap and Vigorous Training. Not a bad way to start a fight if you ask me – 3 seconds of quickness, 3 stacks of might and vigor.

So yes, +1 for a keybind on stow pet would be really nice.

I just rolled a ranger. Slapped a 20 scroll on him and found out I had to “complete gendarran fields” for a BLUE trait. Srs? Some grandmaster traits involved killing one champ, which takes less time.
This was a HORRIBLE idea. I feel like Anet is doing too much for new players. . I’ve already done Gendarran Fields 100% four times, and I’m not that interested in doing it again. It’s well over 400 skill points just to unlock all traits and utilities if I chose to go down the payment route. The money is one thing, but 400+(!) skill points isn’t exactly done in a couple of weeks.
I’m seriously contemplating just not playing my newly created alt because of this. Since I already have several 80’s with 100% map completion I feel like I’m being forced to play just so i can get to 80 with a full skillset. Gaming is supposed to be fun, not a chore. Granted, new players probably find it a lot of fun to skill hunt, but not me, no, been there done that!

So i did the story. Now I want to do the achievments. I do all but the ones on the last mission. I find it too hard. I then play another LS. Now I want to switch back.. I have to replay everything again. WHY? I only want to do last missions for achievment!

All I know is it’s been getting worse and worse over the past few weeks. Right now, it’s random disconnects every few hours, with crashed in between and rubber banding out of this world. And they are gonna launch a new WvW season with this going on? Yeah, that sounds like a marvelous idea..

I just played a game where i was the highest relative rank at 30. 3 was under 20 and one was R1. The other team had nobody under 45, and one 58.. I mean seriously? It’s very rare too get a competitive match. You either steam roll or get steam rolled. Where’s the fun in that?

People whine about incompetence in tPvP.. Well if ordinary sPvP gave more rank points, maybe people wouldn’t have to do tPvP to rank up in a reasonable time frame.

I recently got bitten by the tPvP bug, but i can’t seem to get my current guild to come with me, all they do is zerg in WvW which is just so boring. I still enjoy WvW, but not the zergs very much. I’m currently 27 rank in PvP but increasing daily. The PvE i enjoy consists mostly of Dungeons (Dungeon master).

I’m semi hardcore in the sense that i have no aspirations of getting to any top 10 etc, but at the same time feel it’s very frustrating playing tPvP when you can’t communicate well with your team. I play when I can but i can’t make any committment to any schedules you might have. I’m still very much a novice at tPvP. Currently playing condi/support mesmer. I’m Swedish (GMT +1), I’m also decent enough in English, so mixed nationalities wont be a problem. Born a windy night in October of ‘87, so im 26 at the moment If I don’t respond or isn’t online, just shoot me a mail, and I will get back too you as soon as i can.
