Really I find it stupidly frustrating to have to redo lengthy bits of the story JUST to get to a certain spot in the story to do the achievements if I fail. A good example being the final boss.. really it’s getting on my nerves.

I really Love the "Dragon bash " theme as well as the Classic “Fear not this Night”

or maybe it’s just me?

But either way I would really love to hear some new music from you guys come HoT.

OK SO… Beldin was correct, My Gpu was NOT in the correct slot, i was under the idea that It really did not matter… I was wrong.

I am currently happily jumping around in LA surrounded by people with 50+ fps on max settings. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOU INFO

Also I’de like to add I am just going to re-transfer the Gw2 from my external again, Seeing how some have stated that it should not be the issues.

(and yes my DSL is quite slow 3.5mb (which I’ve had no issue with prior)

Couple of further questions (in addition to the previous poster):

1. Who built the PC?

2. Does your PC have performance issues in anything other than GW2. Specifically, are you able to run other online games with no unacceptable FPS degradation?

If you turn all your GW2 graphics as low as they can go, does the FPS issue persist?

Question #2 : Yes this is purely with gw2, I can run FFXIV on max graphics with zero issues. same for Everquest landmark.

Question# 3: Regardless of settings the FPS is horrible.

GPU Drivers: 15.4 beta – Works fine for other games – Just as a side note I did try this with the non beta updated version 14.12 or what ever the current version is.

A few questions:

1) GPU driver # -> I recommend the 14.12 Omega set as the Beta or earlier can be finicky with the R9 290.

2) CPU model

3) Chipset driver version -> latest one from Asus is the 10.0.20

4) OS

5) PSU wattage

One other thing you can do is download CPUID and GPUz. Open the both and then start up Guild Wars 2. ALT+TAB to windowed mode, overlap the two with GW2 and screenshot the results. On GPUz you should see x16 3.0 – x16 3.0 when the game is running. The first set is what the card should run at, the second is what it is actually running at. CPUID will well to take a peak at your CPU, Chipset, and Memory.

Hopefully with more info we help you work out the kinks during gameplay.

Ok I’ve Moved my GPU to THE CLOSEST slot I can get to the GPU there are no other slots that I can place it in.
As for the Bio’s I’ve sadly no idea how to go about doing that. I thought the MB came with a program called EZ update which would handle that but I suppose I’ll have to “flash” the bios.. that’s always fun. . . last time I tried to do that with my old rig chaos ensued.

Friends were tossing around the idea that because I transferred my Guildwars 2 file from my old PC to an external and then to my new PC that may have caused some issues.

SO if the problem is still going on once the game is up and running (god help me and my horrid back woods DSL internet /wrist) I will GLADLY post the information you need!

I’de also like to add that once I fire up gw2 the GPU sits at 100% usage and I still get crummy FPS.

Kind’ve makes me sad that there is no help on this yet.

As a side note I’ve done what the sticky said to do and I really see no increase in performance at all .

I guess if perhaps my CPU would help

I’ve recently changed PC’s from one that alas was dying and crashing left and right to a fancy new shiny pc.

However Gw2 seems unplayable getting FPS from a golden 60+ and as soon as I see extra people or turn my camera the fps shoots down to 10 or so.

I’ve gone through looking for issues even tweaked my ingame settings and check for the latest drivers for my GPU and MB chipset.

GPU in question is : Tri-X R9 290 Sapphire 4GBDDR5 , of the AMD Radeon R9 series.
MB in question is : Asus X99-A .

I am not the biggest PC whiz so anyone who thinks they can lend me a hand or in need of extra information to do so please give me a shout

So yea.. I’ve done all the achievements for the triple trouble wurm event, but Im stuck at 9/10 and unable to obtain my title. Any advice?

I dunno if it’s just me but I’ve always used these shoulders. Love the high collar and all..

However Unless i’ve never noticed this until now or it’s a glitch maybe?

But the High collar dose not connect with the chest anymore on my Human Male ranger.

So.. Lately I’ll be doing events start to finish I’ll be blowing CDs doing as much dps as I can however in the end i only seem to get white quality champion loot bags.. 60% of the time. How ever when I run with guildies they have yet to obtain one non exotic bag.

What could I be doing wrong?

I for one have no problem with it. Other MMOs I’ve played do little to no reward for the vet players that have stuck with the franchise. So for once a game implements this..and people QQ about it?… seriously They’re acheesement points – It’s Not like we get godly stats from the 500 points..( if we get that far 36/50 myself).

So.. Seeing how fast they’re pumping out this free content I worry that the Fridge in the Anet office’s may be under equipped for the snacking and meals needed…

what ever happened to the times when a kick kitten skin was given / earned from doing things such as.. FoW-UW-DoA.. Granted we have other ways of getting them now.. how ever i really miss the ole feeling of chests, keys, that random gold drop that made you squee with glee (especially when it was a rare skin aka my beloved chaos axe). . . Perhaps a expansion will fix these things?…

I recall hearing from multiple areas that the Gem store money dose not directly go into Gw2 (Anet) it goes to NCsoft. Sadly a part of me fears this will hurt gw2 in such a big way.. I want to be proven wrong .. bleh

Granted there are the parts of “sigh” this again.

However I have to admit the music always grabs me. Every time “Fear not this night” comes on i sit back and just listen to the music. Really makes me look to the next big fight. With the hope that the music/game play combo will grab me once more.

Welp ladies and gents I am currently out of my mind.

So here is my problem. I would like to do 20+ fractals as well as speed runs and enjoy dungeons…

How ever it seems pugs are not fond of rangers. I would like to say that when ever i post on.. lets say my Guardian I am scooped up quickly for fractals/dungeons but when i post ranger.. welp it’s seldom my beloved ranger gets any love.

Don’t get me wrong i love my ranger but how long must one wait before they can run w/e the class pleases with out discrimination?? ..

I have to say imo, Cantha or the “Factions” story line was the most rich and fun story line to me in the GW world. Would be a true shame if we never got to step foot onto cantha again. Granted there are TONS of other areas i want to go to. Cantha has to be the number one

So as of late i’ve been using the Gw2lfg site and well im starting to get really annoyed of groups wanting X class only .. mainly warriors!

What is the point of a game with no holy trinity and a mixture of classes if the class you want to play is not wanted?

I really hope the patch on the 28th touches on this.

Welp I was chatting away with my guild the other day in vent and for some reason or another we started talking about patches and then Xpacs.

anyways it got to the point where the idea of a dervish spin off came to mind.

Dragon Knights or w/e

I say this because imo we need the anti-hero plate.
Ranger good – engineer mid – Thief Anti
Ele good – Mesmer Mid – Necro Anti
Guardian Good- War mid – ? <—- dragon knight

I also say this because in my little mind i would HOPE we kill all the dragons before we head to new lands. So.. the idea of all that power of the dragons yes? What if the races had a order or group rise up in aid of future events that tamed the power of the dragons into a mortal shell?

Another reason why i tossed this idea around is because a dervish imo was based around a holy BA with the power of the human gods. To me this was a problem for bringing the dervish into play where any race can be any class. So if they were to take on powers of the dragons there would be no god worshiping ranting etc. I mainly say this because each race has their own view.
Human – Balth & friends
Char – No gods but Good o’le iron & steel
Asuran – Eternal alchemy
Sylvari.. (salad people) – Dreams/Pale tree
Norn – Spirits of the wild.
.
.
.
So think it could happen??

I feel that PvE especially lower level zones are under used.
I am pretty sure this has been said over and over and sorry if this idea has already gone through the “trials of the forums”.

Anyhow! My idea..

“Daily Hot Zones”
– As stated a Zone would be picked at random daily
-Said Zone would have double XP from events & kills
- Along with better loot and perhaps a “Token” to be gained from doing the events.
- Tokens would be used for vanity items and cosmetic goods.

That’s All I currently have on the idea.. short and sweet. I know its probably not the most elaborate idea to date but i personally think this idea of “Hot Zones” could bring people to old content and remove the “Cycle” of events like we had in Orr karma farming.

Feel Free to Burn me into the ground for a flaw in my plan etc.

Maybe its just me but It bugs me how if i take a look at my toon while I run my head gets tucked in between my shoulders.. and only when i stop it pauses for a brief moment… and then “PoP” my head bumps right back into place…

So is it because I made my asura as tall as i could or.. maybe asura have a weird spinal structure.

Well I am not sure if there were hammer changes but i recall once upon a time i was reading the guardian forums and saw a Anet forum goer saying that hammer love was on the way…

So Am i wrong and its already happened

or Is hammer love(changes) On the way?
