I don’t, @ 3:35 in the video I have no condi removals whatsoever. I’m usually roaming with a duo partner. Solo roaming doesn’t really interest me at all, mainly 1v1 builds doesn’t justify anything. Duo roaming you have to synergize w/ your ally and communication is key, you can do the same with a 2v6 in duo, when you 1v3 solo roaming.

A lot of you need to realize that he roams with at least 1 guardian supporting him. You really can’t run this build without support.

You can, I did at 3:35 and still managed to do work on that group of guys. Its just more difficult to run solo, thats why I roam duo with a guard for group play.

Tyvm for the fast responses and for the vid, was really amazing how you survive a guild group like that with only 916 toughness. On your guide I’m still curious when the other mesmer went in to blurr frenzy you @ 12:35, you used chaos armor but how come you don’t ever use your blur frenzy for defense?

WTF is up with your damage, even after post patch you still 1 shot people.. Pretty amazed by how well you adapted and one of the few shatter mesmers that is still playing full zerk. Don’t understand why everyone says Vash has highest burst when you clearly have been playing full zerk since the beginning.

Anyways my favorite highlights
1. Amazing phase retreat stomps, punt stomps, loved how you barely got your phase retreat blink stomp by .5 seconds
2. Maintained your chaos armor at the right times except when you missed iLeap through one part
3. Dat ele mistform stomp and how you’re able to play calm under pressure and low hp
4. Amazing editting, you put a lot of effort into this one
5. Your shatter moments are insane when you synergized with guardian ring and got double kill
6. Fast reactions when you instantly swapped to your staff to get out of blur frenzy, and decoyed when that engi tried to pull you after you got crated

Also I’ve noticed when you heal, you always use chaos armor or go in chaos storm, phase retreat heal at same time, or invuln + heal, or decoy and heal. Is there any particular reason for this?

Yep, its the screenshots in his video description, theres 2 of them. [RIOT] lost pretty badly in the wvw vid 2x and the spvp match it was terrible also for them losing 300 – 500. Sadly, they were all nothing but talk and didn’t have any skill to back it up. Then again it was to be expected when fighting against -tM-

Thanks! I’ll have to see the changes to the celestial if its really significant or not. If so, I’ll prob have to go back to being full zerker to keep my damage up w/ prob double battle sigil/energy sigils to make up for the -10% cd lost. What you think about that?

I just hope they compensate for the waste of crafting celestial armor + 5 laurels for each celestial piece with the wvw infusions.

Yeah it sounds reasonable, sucks that you won’t be at 116% cd anymore and would have to make it up with the battle sigil. For the celestial, I doubt they’d compensate back 20 laurels (20 days worth of dailies)/matts/money/time that you invested in it. Well on that note, you’ll be able to go back to your roots in full zerk again but won’t have highest cd anymore

That’s what happened to us. We weren’t paying attention, you got a good hit on our guys and then the pugs were easy kills. This sort of thing happens.

A lot of excuses for a lack of player skill

The mistakes that we made were made before that fight even started. We were too spread out, we pulled a mob when we shouldn’t have and we weren’t paying attention. None of those mistakes were skill-based. Situational awareness and mechanical skill are two totally different things.

There is no amount of player skill that could’ve changed the outcome of that fight for our group. We were at a severe disadvantage the minute our engi got bursted and done for once our necro got bursted before we could regroup.

The only people who could’ve turned that fight around at that point were the randoms. Unfortunately none of them were on TS with us at the time.

The fact that Joe calls it a “good fight” and says “we did great” is nonsense. We barely got to do anything at all there. This leads me to believe he is either being sarcastic or intentionally dense for the sake of politeness. No one in their right mind could sincerely call that a good fight.

Whine, cry, whine, cry, thats all I hear from you. Maybe if you didn’t watch this thread 24/7 and respond to every kitten post then maybe you could’ve made up for your lack of skill in both videos. We didn’t get outplayed mechanically, we got ambushed. It was a good ambush but a terrible fight. The problem wasn’t improper skill rotations or wasted cooldowns or split dps, it was that our two main dps got bursted before we could regroup leaving us with only randoms who weren’t on TS. So for him to call it a good fight and say we did great is condescending nonsense.

It bothers me that we got ganked but what bothers me more is for him to talk to us like “yeah you guys did your best we were just better.” It’s an insult to my intelligence.

You and the rest of team riot are the ones that are delusional, so don’t start this stupid bs. You guys talk so much but haven’t even showed any evidence, or made your own videos of beating them. 1. How do you do against the current meta PU condi/PU phantasm builds 1v1 against your spec?
2. Is there gonna be any dramatic changes to your build since ascended armor has come out?
3. How many people are in your guild and is it recruiting?
4. What other builds you play for mesmer/other classes you play?
5. How come you don’t stream like everyone else?

Just out of curiosity, how come you don’t play the current cheese meta pu condi mes or pu phant mes? From what I’ve been noticing, those builds is more popular than the shatter build you’re playing, and everyone is posting 1v1s vs your outnumbered series and for some reason they’re more popular. And the other shatter builds I’ve seen so far hasn’t been top notch like yours in outnumbered/team fights.

Never played the pu condi/phant meta builds, no offense, but in my honest opinion the reward for playing such a easy gimmick build doesn’t offer any high end rewards. An example is not ALL but most of those builds I see 1v1 don’t ever dodge/do high level plays/doesn’t do anything in team fights/don’t improve reaction timing. I watch some of those builds take on full ce from eles or hb from wa’s smh its really outrageous. Such an easy build allows so many room for errors w/o getting punished severely for it. Shatter mesmer for group play on the other hand, anything can kill me in 1 shot but like I said, high rewards = high risk which makes the class very fun to me.

Another thing I’d like to add is when I see mesmer videos and they open with their mass invis smh.. The build allows them to blow their cd’s instantly instead of reserving them for tight situations.. Since they just spam invis all the time it allows them to not dodge big attacks/break with shatter spec.

Wow each vid gets better and better, makes sense why you guys win all your 3v3-5v5s.. Learned a lot from this vid keep them up like always thanks. But you are right about those pu builds, they’re easily available and require no effort to use whatsoever. Those builds are too forgiving and allows room for so many errors w/o getting punished for it.

Also like to add 3:55 & 7:16 those stomps… you dont see much mesmers blink/phase retreat stomp or blink stomp, and 9:26 my favorite part. @ 9:26 was that like 3v+10? no upscales/guild groups? You were the only dps and you had 2 supports but you survived taking on that group with a glass spec.. I’m still amazed by how youre able to dps and take on the aggro at same time..

Tried out this build must say it is really solid, but how do you do against 1v1s w/ thieves and other classes, and also condi specs? I keep dying to pesky thieves and condi meta classes.

Since you play shatter mesmer and have to be in close range, I can see in your vid you have trouble with the iLeap bugs where it randomly leaps to random locations. Doesn’t that bother you?

As much as I want to flame your video by how lengthy it is, I gotta give credit where its due. You deserve recognition for your level of skill in this video due to the phase retreat stomps, punt stomps, epic kiting, etc. I wanted to make fun your video by all the people you fought, but I couldn’t since all the fights outnumbered you were in were guild groups and sarsbear wasn’t on vent the whole time. Every minute of the video was worth it and learned plenty, and each clip was awesome fighting.

As much as I hate to say it, but you’re underrated tM/spca and the support guardians that were in your video sarsbear and kevin. You guys are one tough kitten to fight and I applaud you guys on that good job.

I haven’t watched yet because I’m in class but it’s funny how you play a shatter mesmer, the thing that made Osicat popular and then you’re dissing him. Yes, the condition build is quite easy to play, but he’s the best mesmer that I have ever fought against and with.

I don’t think hes directing towards him, just the current meta build hes using atm. Joe is talking about the current meta that he sees no 1 playing it. Also, Osicat is popular because he made vids since the game started and stayed consistent with it. Just because you played a long time doesn’t mean you’re the best. Seeing Joe just started and doing so well in a short amount of time amazes me.

Whats embarrasing is you’re talking kitten when you only watched 1 minute of the video, and he was referring to the current meta of people playing condi’s. Wouldn’t it have been easier to just watch the video then post? That way this nonsense could’ve been prevented. He never said anything about osicat inventing shatter, who cares about who inventing what build? If you know Engi enough you can decipher the traits hes running..no need to ask.
Armor/Runes/Trinkets however.. Soldiers..possibly runes I have no idea..maybe more Soldiers or Melandru.

i agree it shouldnt be hard, just look at his traits he has bigger radius so 10 in explosives/ 30 in invetions since hes healing, 10 tools since hes perma swift. the rest of the 20 pts most likely go defensive so the rest in alchemy. Since hes not 27k hp hes not full soldiers most likely apothecary and everytime he heals he gets fury might so altruism runes.

Very skilled plays against thieves as a shatter mesmer, you’re totally underrated and deserve recognition

So I spent today playing in Eternal Battlegrounds and everything went pretty swell, except for the fact that we could not get waypoints up on important structures. When I asked why, they said that people are severely depleting the reserves when they see if approaching the required amount.

My suggestion:
When a guild claims an area, give them the option to restrict the rate with which people are taking the supply

OR

Instead of paying out the full front price, whenever a dolyak brings more supply, a percentage of it can be paid to a queue for the waypoint.

OR

Turn the waypoint into a structure, where people can run supply and build on it like other seige weapons
