Hi,
Is anyone lagging at the moment in PvP?
I currently have an avr. ping of 300+. I normally have an avr. ping of 20.
*UPDATE:
I restarted my PC and now it doesn’t even want to load HoTm anymore. When it did before, I was getting an error saying can’t login to the login server…
Sounds good!
I would also say; keep a minimum of 100 matches to get on the leaderboard at the end of the season.
Rest are just exploiting the leaderboard by queuing with multiple accounts etc..
Revenant was just OP and people got used to it. You see the same with dragonhunters now. Everyone is playing it because it requires less skills but the reward is great. I am a big fan of revenantd and I wasn’t happy about the last update neither, but now I accept it and I still am able to kill almost every class in the game.
Watch streams on twitch and learn how to rotate.
Do you know how to play warrior? Probably not, because I don’t seem to have much problem against them. Only
Class that I find weak against warrior is necromancer.
Learn how to play a class if you wanna counter them.
This is what people on stream are talking about. The whole forum is full of people crying over DH’s.
I play rev, warrior, Mesmer and Druid and have no problem against dragonhunters. I am pretty sure it has something to do with skills and knowing other classes. If you know how to play a class, you know how to counter is. Also don’t try to kill dragonhunters when you play a class you don’t master. Play some unranked matches and learn your class. Maybe go duel someone that’s good on dragonhunter and learn how to counter it.
So its not MMR when you went up to T7 3 pips, but was MMR when you went down? In reality the higher you go the more difficult it gets, especially as the differential between a communicating organised group and a random pug grows and the pool of players reduces.
You did not add anything to this post. Why are you on about MMR, did you even read what I typed?
Hi all,
You probably think, here we go again… some random kid QQing about MMR. I used the MMR title in the hope I can get peoples attention.
I am currently looking for some active PvP players or active PvP Guild in Diamond++ who are trying to get Legend, but w/o luck.
My current frustation;
Went from T7 3 pips to T5 2 pips.
Punch kitten in my desk.
to be continued…
Oh yea, I am from EU
PM me ingame.
I am pretty sure we had that one person in the team typing ‘afk we lose this anyway’, while you are 100 point behind. I was wondering if the developers are going to do anything about this. For people who are actually trying to win the game this can be very frustrating.
Anyone else sharing the same opinion?
Yes I’ve definitely had this issue, especially in the last month or so. I’ve had cases where I’ve DCed out of games while my TS is working fine, resulting in dishonors. This only happens to me during PvP and raids. Never during open world.
I got fed up and ran the trace rout as recommended by the main website, but nothing looks out of ordinary. Haven’t contacted support about it because it just happens so randomly. Some days it’s perfectly fine, other days I’m ruberbanding all over the map multiple times through several games.
Pretty sure it’s not my PC. I don’t know how to check if it’s my ISP though, but I figure if other programs are working fine in the background, it must be a GW2 issue.
Well you can see where the packet losses are taking place with a tool called ‘WinMTR’ http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/.
Download and extract it somewhere easy. Open the file and go to gw2. When you are logged in typ ‘/ip’ in chat and typ that IP-address you see (example: 123.456.789.123) and put that IP-address in WinMTR and press start.
Check my screenshot in my 1st post and you will see how it will look like after a while. Run it like 30 min – 1 hour and you will see where the packet losses take place.
Uhm this almost never happened in past of gw2. And now it’s happening to me too. A window of 5-15 sec, ping of 3000. Then it suddenly goes away. My usual ping is extremel low (10-30, with some higher ups to 30-60 tops).
Hi,
Yes same here. I have an optic fiber connection with a download speed of 100 and upload 100. My PC is capable of running this game on constant 60 FPS while in PVP on ‘high’. Its something that start happening like two or tree weeks ago. I have a relative low ping (10 – 30).
I really enjoy playing Guild Wars 2 and that is why I buy gems so they can keep coming with new content. But now that I am having issue’s with the game, I feel like they don’t care much…
This is not happening in any other game, or at any other time, just while you are playing PvP? PvE and WvW are unaffected?
Have you also contacted your ISP?
Hi,
I do not get this with any other games. I actually work at my own ISP and they checked this for me like two weeks ago. They monitored my connection and didn’t see any weird activities from my router to the the server.
I am getting the same problem in WvW, but I didnt mention WvW because it’s normal that I get skill lag there in ‘prime’ time.
Here a screenshot of the random spikes I am getting (and again, only while in combat)
Hi,
Since the start of S3 of the PvP league I start getting these huge ping spikes (1.5k – 3k ping). I asked for help or information trough a support ticket, but all they asked me to do is run WinMTR and send them the .html file that comes out.
I made a screenshot of the .html file so you guys can see. I am not a total noob in computers, but in this file it looks like I am getting packet loss at the ncsoft servers. I never got a reply back since I send them the file.
I was wondering if anyone is getting the same problem that I am experiencing the last couple a days. If yes, did you manage to fix this problem? and how.
You ruin it with that black.
It is too black; it removes any form of textures.
The question is – how much more black could you get?
The answer is: none.
Well, i like the way it is.
But you are welcome giving your opinion ^^.
