We did the aetherblade one with three mesmers. It involved some failed attempts of hitting that tiny body of water, a lot of jumping down and rezzing. The more mesmers the better.

Necro could be good. You have a high health point pool and additional a second. Especially as minion master you can skill quite defensive. Reaper is awesome to play and you can choose if you want to play condi or power.

She dies pretty fast. Last time she was halfway dead when I waypointed in and my PC is not slow and I was on the map already. She really lasted longer before. A little more health would not hurt, but I agree, always take a char who has unlocked the waypoints, everything else can cost you the kill.

What does the prize of the presents have to do with the jumping puzzle? You can make good amounts of presents in the bell game. The only way you earn more in the Jp is if you are really good, which has little to do with laziness.

I have spent so much time in the Jp, but because of the challenge not for the reward. For presents I’d go for bells. There the presents are guaranteed and relaxing.

The collections are not a work of 5 minutes (for me at least) so I want to use those ascended weapons for whatever character I choose.

I realise staff may seem like a subpar choice, but I didn’t feel comfortable limiting myself to melee range on the HoT maps. Events like the legendary wyverns can be really sticky if you don’t have a ranged weapon to attack with from a safe, not-on-fire patch of grass.

I ended up in a legendary wyvern fight with greatsword and dagger/warhorn equipped without the chance to switch to a ranged weappon. That was painful XD

I main reaper, because it is the most fun I have had in game for some time. Silverwaste is more fun, too, with her ^^

I like those armors. They don’t look legendary, but a non trenchcoat top for my engi and nice trousers are always welcome. I hope they’ll be obtainable for a casual, though (read as “I hope they are not legendary”).

I have a 32 bit system and I feel with you. I haven’t been to that map yet, but I tried the dragons in VB several times and I still don’t know what loot they give due to disconnects

I was a bit frustrated at first, but after unlocking gliding and using another character (I couldn’t make the mesmer work, but I think now I might) it became a lot better and after unlocking gliding II I am dreading going back to the old maps :p . Gliding is awesome. In the first map you only need gliding I and II and the frog I and II for map completion, though to be honest I got the point from the frogs before I had II in the mastery.

I prefer the medium trenchcoats to the light Victoria’s Secret underwear, but I agree that we have enough trenchcoats in the game.

I think they should rather do it right than fast. I am absolutely willing to wait for HoT if that means we get cooler looking kit replacements.

Ok, I misunderstood.
I liked the old dailies better, because they completed while I was playing without me focusing on them. I just do dailies nowadays when guildies ask to do the PvP ones.

Again I think the purpose is to make you log in everyday to get the AP and rewards. Also dailies are more casual friendly than monthlies. I have only completed the old monthlies a couple of times, while I did dailies every day I played. I wouldn’t mind if dailies were turned into monthlies, I just doubt it.

I am with vespers. I like it the way it is.

I don’t like a lot of skins for female Norn, humans and Sylvari, plus they’d look weird on a flat chested Asura. Though I admit I understand that you like the butterfly shoulders and feel cheated. They are cute. My human Engi is running around with those, even though they match horrible with the kit hobosacks

I think they added the log-in rewards in order to make you log in every day. Taking out the daily part would defeat the purpose (if I am right).
Anyway I like getting shinies, especially things like ascended materials.

I’d exchange Trahearne for it or any of the meaningless dead “friends” from story that didn’t live long enough to get attached to them :p. There was even one I didn’t remember and my character mourned her for several story parts like she was family XD

What does “needed for comp” mean? Maybe a stupid question, but I am not a native speaker and a quick check in the dictionary didn’t help.

I have read all 33 pages of this thread and I kind of love it. It’s hillarious and sad at the same time.

Sometimes when I visit my parents for the weekend, I take the train right after uni. Since I hate taking an extra bag, I completely overpack my backpack. That’s the time I feel closest to my engineer main… I should pack a stone or two as well in order to walk as messed up as her, though XD
