So this is gonna be a really long and annoying route, but why not just make a personal guild for the extra bank slots, with the guild stash and treasure trove. Thats what i am doing and im only 6oo pts away from my stash. could help with the bank slot problem
2 words, account bound. Your guild stash idea now doesn’t work
I have a whole block of stuff in my bank that isn’t account bound. And any time you are trying to make gifts for legendary or ascended pieces you can put the materials in the stash instead of your bank account. It helps clear up space, that was my intention.
Thievies have ONE underwater elite skill.
enough said.
I have an asuran warrior, i think they are pretty awesome for the bored, because there are several different builds you can work with.
dual swords/long bow for condition
greatsword for crit and i love the long bow so i do it with the great sword..
then you can be banner/shout/stance/signet/burst warrior. all classess have a variation, but the play style between all of these is so different(my only other 80 being a theif, which i KILL in PVE and rarely die). i find a burst warrior to be the most fun. although i started with condition. I had fun with that too but i felt i needed more umph.

The Thief Elite skill “Thieves Guild” is super annoying.
So my character is a female Asuran thief..and when i use that elite skill i get two little Asuran ninjas…that sound like male humans, with a male human bandit(i get it, they are thieves) line.
So I’m suggesting that the voice of the thieves in the Elite skill “Thieves Guild” sound like the race of the character AND be something that a thief of that race would actually say.
i may be wrong but cant you just apply a new infusion? it would destroy the one in it, just like sigils and runes. but then you can have the infusion you want
And can it be disabled for PVE?
I don’t see the dailies as a grind at all, its a small portion of your time. Laurels are another currency, and most importantly there for the ascended gear. To get ascended gear you can to do fractals, and if you only have enough time daily to do a daily, there there is no way you are gonna have the time to do fractals. which only need 10 pristine fractal relics(ten days) vs. 35 laurels; so laurels are a gift really.
And dailies don’t limit your zone play which is amazing because i can continue with map completion. As for healer, go to Neebo terrace. You can rez and kill a few mobs along the way. You can make the dailies boring and grindy by killing yourself repeatedly, spam jumping a bear and sitting and waiting for a vet to re-spawn, or you can work them into your normal game play.
If you normally went after hearts, its hard to believe that you never came across events, dead npc/players, resource nodes or a lake to kill fish… so save the last 10 minutes of your game play to go to a low level area and quickly finish what you didn’t complete.
I created a thief purely for PVE. It is absolutely amazing.
I have 0/30/30/10/0
critical strikes: 3,4,9
Shadow Arts: 1,4,9
Acrobatics: 4
My utility skill are sigil of shadows, shadow refuge, blinding power.
My Elite is normally dagger storm but i use thieves guild if if i know im going into a vet/champ single target.
I heal pretty well, id say almost half of my health
My Armor and Weapons are Berserker and my accessories are Beryl. When i get ascended gear ill add more toughness into the mix.
and i do blind/stealth as much as i can, but i have no problem against veterans or multiple attackers and i rarely die.
Change your build up and see how things go.
During the Dredge Fractals, i used vengeance to kill one of the dredge, but i still died, and a party member pointed out that the dredge didn’t give experience so maybe that’s why.
I know it will take time to fix this, or maybe it was your intent, but can we get a proper list of what will actually revive us, and what wont, so we can make a more informed decision when we are downed?
EDIT: this question is based on being spec’d into vengeance 100% rally trait.

just waiting for scavenger hunt :p
This sounds like a WAY better idea.
Rotating Death Camera is extremely annoying, i agree it needs to be changed, at the least make it so that if we manipulate the camera…IT STAYS THERE, and doesnt begin rotating again shortly after
so i read through most of this, but the clutter is the aftermath of the implementation of the vendor value limit, it just needs to be dealt with, but i can see how that isn’t exactly a priority, but i think the most needed thing in the TP is a 3rd drop down that gives the chose for armor to be heavy/medium/light. or maybe even a box to check your class so that you don’t have to look at great swords when you are a thief. but that’s a bit more than necessary but the
basically, we need a heavy/medium/light armor option
This game is meant to be finished in a week so that you can be decked out in the most expensive gear and have legendary weapons. If you don’t like a choice, than you have time to fix it. The content isn’t going anywhere, it will be here after you re-level another character. and there are a lot of ways to level. as Sirendor said.
just to name a few:
events
map completion
crafting
spvp
wvw
dungeons
now some may take long than others, but there are so many ways to play this game, and i believe that it is still fun no matter what level i am. there are dungeons through out your leveling. its not like there is only content for lvl 80 characters.
but for argument sake. if you did change your race after your story was over, would you re do it? having to re-go through an initiation into the races just to keep your armor if you chose those? or do you want to have it already finished? do the the skill points you invested into your racial traits get converted to the other racial traits? or do you get a refund in trait points? is your cultural gear going to convert over? or will you loose out on that gold?
now i doubt this will happen and i am against it, but you need more details in your plea. maybe that will get some talk going.
so currently i have 2 lvl 80’s and 1 lvl 50. I am also a stay at home mom, with a husband that leaves a lot on military trainings/deployments thus making me almost a single stay at home mom. I have a 3 year old, and my days are not exactly filled with time to myself.
I think it could be broken down into a few basic branches, but personally i don’t think that player research is really a bad thing. For food if you are 80, then there really isn’t that many different recipe/food items to look through. but this is just me, i enjoy researching
This is a great idea, but they would HAVE to fix the speed of the mini pets. Mine is SO SLOW; i have a thief with the constant 25% run speed, so my mini just lags behind until it is so far that it has to de-spawn and then re-spawn next to me, then lags behind again and the cycle goes on.
We can “upgrade” our mini some how too to make it pick up loot, or give us boons, so they can have another money sink added in.
I have a little ooze pet that i love, and if i could keep it with me, and see it, i would be so happy.
I accidentally salvaged my wraith mask, that i got with creating my necromancer. I absolutely loved it and wanted to keep it as my official lvl 80 mask.
Is there a way to get it back?
I cant buy another one on the trading post because they are soulbound, and my character is lvl 47.
Do i have to delete my character and re-make her to get the mask again? Please is there a way you can take the 2 wool back and give me the mask???
Why don’t you try an elementalist or engineer?
There weapon skills change a lot due to element/kit
I agree, it was much better playing with it zoomed out like that. I felt like i worked better with my party because i could see what they were doing too, and i therefore could modify slightly enough to be of greater use.
Yea, ill just watch it a few thousand more times…ill be a pro in no time
When i go through WvW in my condition armor, mob grinding with my friends as we move to events, my bags fill pretty quickly. Then, i switch to my rare magic find set…and BAMB! I STOP getting loot. i maybe get 5 things, and a good portion of them are hoofs or fins or other useless trophies.
I’ve done this 4-5 times(1-2 hours each) before i simply gave up using magic find all together, especially in Ruins of Orr.
I’m not expecting to find rares and exotics only, I’m expecting to get the same amount of loot and be what DKP said: more greens and blues or better crafting/salvagable materials.
This has yet to happen
Tell me how that makes sense?
@Fred Fargone
I agree with every one of you points, except i dont really care about 8.
I don’t think many people think about your #2 point. Inflation would be crazy, and disastrous, Yet that consequence is never brought up. People complain a lot about money sinks, and don’t understand WHY it is happening.
New content is coming on the 22. and there will be expansions. Give it some time.
Just remember, they had to start somewhere, they created a game, and are now working on new content, we will already have some fun stuff coming up for Halloween, and remember there are a few more dragons to kill, and a lot of the map for them to still work with. Allow them time to start expanding and then see if you like what they do, because more will come, wait until 10/22/12 and then re-access your stance on the endgame :]
I Love this idea! I hope it happens
I believe that something fun, for prestige i guess, would be to buy more special effects for our weapons.
By special effects i mean:
-The necromancer’s feast of corruption(scepter #3) getting multiple bites instead of just one, or the necromancer’s Necrotic Grasp(staff #1) enhanced to look like a whole scythe rather than just the blade.
-Changing out special effects color. So that the green in necromancer’s Deathly Swarm(dagger #4) could be changed to a color of our liking
Since this would be for prestige like the legendary weapons, i think that maybe recipes to throw into the mystic forge would be a nice way to make it difficult but still be more exciting then just spending karma, gold, or gems. Another idea, they can be crafted by the Artificer, Weaponsmith, and Huntsman, and we could by the recipes just like we have to buy the gifts for the legendary weapons.
So for scepter #3 it would call for fangs and a dye, maybe dust? And of course whatever else to make the recipe challenging.
I was playing my necromancer when i thought of this, so that is where my ideas came from, I think it would be beneficial if people posted other class skills that could have advanced features as well.

Many of you are right about a few things
To complete dungeons:
-No glass cannons
-Exotic Gear Only
-Well Structured Seasoned Players in a Group with constant Communication
-Change your skills
-Dungeons are hard
Now lets Review this. What happening here is that with a mix of all five of those things, A group of Lvl80 Guardians geared in exotic’s and in a guild together spec’d differently is THE WAY TO GO.
With that said, here is why it is still wrong.
The game is suppose to be played with any combination of classes, with any spec, and the “Holy Trinity” is suppose to be gone, but as said above by someone, no “glass cannons” now doesn’t this go against ANet’s Vision of Guild Wars2? (Also, at @Artorous if you are a berserker, you are a glass cannon.) If you are a group of glass cannons, kiss your win goodbye, now matter how “Berserker” you are.
Play dungeons in exotic gear only, Sure, that’s fine. Except that also Goes against ANets Endgame theory, and last i checked lvl 40’s at CM aren’t getting exotic gear, dungeons aren’t suppose to be endgame only in ANets eyes.
Well sturctured groups, great. so no one pug it up and and EVERYONE better be in a guild, Is this what Anet wanted? Nope. In which case I’m sure there is a “dungeon” guild out there to remedy this, but that again is just another set of pugs who don’t really know each other or how to communicate with each other.
Change your skills, REVOLUTIONARY unfortunately there isn’t a trainer in front of each dungeon for me to do that…OOPS guess ill have to pay the ridiculous way point fee to get to a trainer… and back…. which is ridiculous.
Dungeons are hard, Agreed. But when you are in a narrow corridor with 10 thiefs knocking you down and heart seeking you, and you filled your quota of 2 dodges.. it gets silly hard, and you die, and run back and die, and run back, and die, and if luck(yes luck) brings you to the end of the dungeon… WOOHOO the rewards cover your repair bill, after you sell your white and blue loot of course..
So because of these truths, and Anet’s Inability to stick to their manifesto’s in their dungeon, i have created a warrior and completely abandoned my ranger. Probably should have made a Guardian
So for the point of all of this, Is that I hope Anet sits in a room, reviews their reasons for making this game, and then actually create dungeon mechanics that coincide with there theory. Theory is great, but application is needed.
Well It seems like a Huge mechanic in the game is dodging which is just fine, however it interrupt our abilities. So in CM story mode, when you fight around the drunken Norn, in a narrow corridor, with 10 Theifs knocking you down and then heart seeking you, its a bit rough to dodge around. Now the door guard before that area is completely dodgeable. It seems like you dodge for survival and maybe get a hit out 10%ish of the time(in the case of those that are glass cannon types) I would like to see a nice balance between dodging and damage. So that way people who are spec’d out more so in damage/precision than toughness/healing can actually have a chance to make it through the Dungeon.
Same happening here, got one wave of risen, and now stuck at the docks
