It really is best to hard a guard go in first cause they seem to last a lot longer.
When he dies you send in throw away classes that are sure to die fast like casters.
Good to send in a ranger with traps and snares. Eng is also pretty good and snaring.
I don’t think i’ve ever beat it without the guardian going in first. It is just one of those things that there really good at.

You seem to have fixed the major exploit that allows a group to skip the entire dungeon and go straight to the end.

But there still is a minor exploit on path 1 just after the barn. Players slink up the wall just to the right of the barn exit and skip 2 or 3 pulls to get to the next boss.

There not even difficult pulls, just lazy players.
I don’t need tokens for any dungeon no more so the only reason I play one is for fun and the exploit really takes the fun out of killing bandits.

Your correct they can hold intellectual property rights over the site but the site owners would be better off selling it. They can’t be even covering the cost of there web server fees with their ad revenue. It is because I have seen moderators recommend the site that I suggest they buy it. They already support the site, why not let the site creators profit from it.

Where do these runes drop? Any certain dungeon or monster they might be more likley to drop from?

Are most of them found in chests? Off of dragons or what?
Any little bit of information on farming these would be helpful as I need 12 more of them.

You were so right, Frostgorge was the best solo farming area. Got 2 Rare drops and 1 Exotic in my first hour. The skelks, scales and drakes drop the most abundant vendor crap and all my high quality items dropped from lvl 76 skelks. Even got 2 viles of powerful blood on my second hour.

Definitely give Frostgorge Sound a try – this Shiverpeak map is one of only two L80 zones outside of Orr (the other being The Lost Shores, which I cannot recommend in any way currently).

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Frostgorge_Sound

The enemies are much tamer than Orr, can be fought at your own pace, and are a good source of many rare materials.
You can get there from the first norn zone (Wayfarer Foothills), and will want to head up to the North-East corner to find the L80 mobs.

It is possible to complete all your dailies there (unlike Orr):

> You’ll find a good concentration of events and enemy types in the central North region – kodan to be rescued in the water near constantly, a quaggan village just north of it under constant attack also, and just south of those there are 2 common events to defeat lone veterans.
> For kill variety, be sure to take out moa, moose, dolyak, birds, salmon & rabbit as you go (they’d do the same to you if they only could!).

N.B. Ancient Sapling = Orrian Sapling (T6 wood) on this map.

What are the best areas to get decent drop rates of items valued atleast 1 silver or more with fast respawns.

I’m looking for some areas that don’t have large groups but are easy to solo.
So far I have only found 1 decent area, lvl 79 in Machlor’s Leap along the southwest shoreline.

Any help would be appreciated. Please be specific on how to get to the area.

Exotic weapon karma vendors in Southsun Cove

I would like to reccomend we have some exotic weapon karma vendors in Southsun Cove with a limited selection of weapons for somewhere around 82k karma.

This way people who don’t want to buy exotics off the trading post can farm karma on there own and not have to form groups for dungeons.

The game need to offer more for solo gamers.

I enjoyed building a hero squad in GW1. It was cool equipping your whole team with the best gear but this game doesn’t seem the type to need extra cpu players. Instead of having fully configurable hero’s I wish there were a mercenary tavern you could visit to rent a team of computer controlled players with really good AI scripts that made them a lot more useful then henchmen or heros ever were.

Better yet I like that idea of spells that give you assistance like the thief elite the calls in 2 more thief’s. The golems rock and the mesmers phantasms are cool too. I wish there was clone a guildie elite that would like you call the exact character model of one of you fellow guildmates into the fight for 30 seconds.

Distortion Grants Reflection - Defensive/Stun Lock build.

I have created a build for sPvP that focuses a lot on distortion. I keep 2 singets equipped so that each time I hit a singet I get 1 second on distortion. The build is excellent for holing onto capture points. http://www.gw2db.com/skills/calc/mesmer#7|0|2681|4357|4359|4092|4514|10|1750|0|0|20|1759|2307|0|0|0|0|0|20|2319|1783|0|20|2311|2226|0|2|20|1|0|0|53491|53491|53491|53491|53491|26065|21082|0|0|0|0|

My question is; if you put points into Distortion Grants Reflection does that give you 1 second of reflection while you are distorted?

Something to note is that if a player has the option Disable casting circles checked in his options screen the red circles to place the kegs on will not even appear. Make sure all the members of your party who are dropping kegs actually can see the red circles.

In combination with the tactics mentioned above, have a Mesmer use Into the Void spell to AOE suck enemies away from the gate and fling them back out into the court yard. While that is on cooldown have the Mesmer run up to the gate with a keg and cast [Illusionary Wave] to repel enemies back out into the court yard.

A Mesmer with good shutdown makes fighting the nights easy. Ask you Mesmer to keep the Knight dazzed and stunned as much as possible. [Illusionary Wave][Into the Void][Signet of Domination][Technobabble][Diversion][Moa Morph][Power Lock] all will stop a knight from dishing out much damage.

Another tip for any of the hard hitting melee mobs is to make sure your Asura team mates use Radiation Field on the mobs because it cuts their damage in half by aoe inflecting weakness. Radiation Field lasts for long time to so you can keep it on them for most of the fight.

TA needs a bit of a nerf

Jaggedwraith.7891

Twilight Arbor doesn’t need a Nerf, I pug it sometimes 5 times a day for fun. It’s always interesting to see how the group will come together or not. Because dieing can be very expensive I bring along a special set of Level 20 armor because repairing it is very cheap. I only put on my Exotic level 80 armor if the group looks like the are all pro. The disadvantages to wearing rags for armor are nominal.

The real test of any TA group is if they can beat that first set of pups in Volatile Blossoms. If the pug can defeat that group then things probably won’t go so bad. If the group wants to skip the pups or just run to the first boss you can be pretty sure this is going to be a miserable run. The more things you try and skip in a pug the more times you will have to run past it after the group wipes. It is best to keep skipping mobs to a minimum. As a good rule of thumb, If you know your going to have to run by this pack of pups more then one time then you might as well kill them in the 1st place. I would much rather die in a fight then die running away from one.

It is also important to note that mobs like the knights and pups do knockdowns and several classes are more vulnerable to knockdown effects then others. Never try skipping a back of mobs that has knockback effects or you will be waiting for players forever to ketch up to where you have skipped ahead to.

My only gripe with this dungeon is that there needs to be more waypoints. It is a very long walk when you die.

Equiptment Summary

All armor is RARE WvW Invaders Armmor with stats Emphasized in Power/Toughness/Vitality
Here is an example: http://www.gw2db.com/items/47437-invaders-acolyte-pants
4 Major Runes of the Eagle: http://www.gw2db.com/items/28100-major-rune-of-the-eagle
2 Major Sigils of Energy: http://www.gw2db.com/items/27930-major-sigil-of-energy

Usage Summary:
If you have played Mesmer for a while you realize by now we are not a hard hitting class. Most of our damage comes in the repetition of attacks from Phantasms, Cloans and ourselves. All that aside we are a fun class to play and we provide more targets for enemies to bang on. This build is about spamming as many Duelists as you can. Only shattering when your finishing an opponent off or if your in trouble pop distortion. Other then that there is no need to shatter with this build. For defense not a huge amount of attributes are placed in toughness or vitality. Rather the idea of this build is to hit and run away. When your in deep trouble, cloak and run and hide. The idea here is instead of trying to soak up more damage, you instead try to avoid getting hit.

Use the sigils that increase endurance regeneration. If you find your self in a situation where you don’t have enough phantasms out to build up good DPS, then you can switch over to a quick shatter by dodging twice, then cloak and shatter.

If you can get all three Duelists out which is pretty hard in most cases, they do almost 8000 dmg in less then 5 seconds.

Most scenarios you will have at least 2 Duelists out and some other cloan, preferably a Berserker.

When at range your almost always moving faster then everyone else because of Compounding Celerity: You move faster for each active illusion. Spam your Great sword at them until you think another duelists ready. Then switch over to sword and pistol, cast your Duelist, and then go get up close and personal with your target. Don’t hit Blurred Frenzy right away. Wait till you see what their does and then pop it just as your Duelist starts to fire. Of course there are always cases where you use Blurred Frenzy for defensive purposes.

Try to avoid using Mirror Blade and Illusionary Leap unless you have to because neither of the cloans they produce do good damage. Use them tactically when you need to snare or double hit.

These traits are interchangeable
Alternatively you can switch Phantasmal Haste out for Illusionary Elasticity and hit an extra target with both your Mirror Blade and your Magic Bullet. You can also swap Blade Training for Phantasmal Fury

The more your crit in this build the more you regain your endurance, the more you can dodge and create more cloans.
