I had the same thing happen where raptor disapeared so couldnt finish heart. But it took me to new area where i crashed a few times. I used the green star there and redid the mission and heart and then it worked and have my perm raptor now
I absoultely love it and so many others do too. I saw some people come back to WvW today because of the borderlands change. Its exciting and our old home is back. Its amazing and im smiling from ear to ear. My hats off to you ANET for listening to the players that support you and this wonderful game. Thank You !!!
As i said earlier WvW is a mainstay for many of us and has to be balanced properly for fight guilds ppter’s etc. Too much of the big stuff and smaller guilds smaller servers may disappear forever and that would be sad and reduce the competition which is what the world of WvW is all about.. It encourage’s people that have never fought to give it a try which makes pvp stronger in many different ways.
Very valid points and i support this thread 100 % WvW for some of us is all we do its our whole Guild Wars 2 experience. I would like to add one more comment. A rotation of the new desert BL’s with the Old alpine BL maps. rotate every 2 weeks to keep things fresh and to bring back the richness of those old but good maps.
a 1-2 sec delay lag has been effecting everyone in WvW and pve maps too. It began last night after the 30 some files patch. I heard many talking about it today and ive been experiencing it in WvW and Silverwastes.
At times in wvw when i go to refresh superior shield generators it says someone is using it altho they are not. And the seige decays because we cannot refresh. Thats a pricey piece of seige and this bug is wiping them out. It varies from day to day but ive seen it everyday.
Day 1… was up for release early am and what a magnificent job you have done. So much detail. Challenging Rewarding and we can Fly. Graphics are stunning and the soundtrack is awesome too. I been playing your games for 9 years + and I am impressed with this release and its just day 1 !!! Kudos !!
I started the download 3 hours ago and its only downloaded 38502 KB at 4 kb per second. Big patches in the reg client i can download in a couple minutes. Not sure whats going on here but this will take days at the current speed. Hopefully and answer will come.
i fixed my problem and this is what i did and this is what i had happen. just a little over a week ago this bug hit me when i had left 2 guilds in another server and xfered servers and joined a new guild. The fix for me was this. I did not leave my new guild. I got an invite to my old guild where i knew chat worked. I repped them and chat worked. Now without leaving my old guild again that i had just been reinvited too i repped my new guild and tried to talk in guild chat. I didnt see guild chat nor could i type in it but it didnt say anymore (Your not in a guild ). I asked the guild leader of the old guild do you see me typing in your gc he said yes. So altho now i was typing in new guild chat or trying to the old guild i had just rejoined was seeing it. Now what i did is went invisible then visible then repped new guild and typed in guild chat. It worked and then i left the old guild and my guild chat has worked since that point 2 days ago. Thats how i fixed it. Hope it helps. as i said in a earlier post its like the game had a ghost of me in the old guild so it would be impossible to type in 2 guild chats at same time.
Try what i just posted above from what the user above me said. It Worked . The bug is gone. In my case i had to rejoin my old guild in my old server that i transferred from last week. Altho your in a new guild or server the game thinks your trying to chat in 2 guilds at same time which is impossible thus the bug. Thats my take on this but the user above me his post was my fix. what he/she did works..
Well since Anet isnt fixing it, ill give you the way i actually solved the issue :
- Stand Down guild.
- Leave a “random guild” where the chat is working (get reinvited afterwards)
- Represent the “bugged” guild
- Go invisible -> Online
- Try to speak in guild chat.
It actually worked for me, and i hope it will help you guys.
tired something along those lines now i rejoined my old guild from Dragonbrand and followed your instructions. It did work gj. I must have lagged during transfer to a new server and guild and i had a ghost of me still in Dragonbrand.. woot i can see Guild chat in my new guild for the 1st time… Im so happy
I sent some more info to Arenanet this morning to add to my ticket i submitted last week. Someone else in a different thread about this issue also said it started on April 1st which is when i transferred server and joined a new guild. Anyone else notice if this started for you recently on April 1st ??? Is there a connection with that day ? It might help their team find a solution faster if that is the case.
I just put a ticket in on this. I joined a new guild 2 days ago when i transferred servers and no matter what i do still says im not in a guild and cannot see guild chat nor type in it but can on my personal guild. Shows me repping tho on guild roster
I transfered to a new server last night and i joined a guild with some friends. I am repping but cannot type in Guild Chat nor can i see it. I tried doing the invis thing and then back to online and it didnt work. Repped my personal guild and i can see Guild chat. When back to repping the new guild and it doesnt work. This really a bummer i cant text communicate with guildys. It say in not in a guild but in the guild roster it shows me and that m repping.
The stress test yesterday i feel went very well. I made sure i took a chance to look at the scenery etc involved in the map. The graphical appearance of the map was very clean and crisp almost mystical as i looked up and down from different locations. I experienced no lag at all which made doing the events very fun and enjoyable. The ability to glide on wings was awesome and a great edition to what characters will be able to do . Almost breathtaking with the background scenery. Reminded me almost of Avatar the movie lol. I made a revenant and altho it took a little bit to get used to i loved the mechanics of it. I prefer the hammer and used that most of the time that i played. I thought the drops and the chests were nice and i did get one nice exotic and many rares. The storyline part of the test was good just wished it was longer. Overall i had a lot of fun and i cannot stress enough the beauty graphically of the map. The revenant is truly going to add great depth to the game in all areas. Good Stuff !!!!
Yes same for me + multiple issues mapping to other maps too not WvW maps and i can see guild chat in other guilds im in when not repping and also message keeps popping up im not in a guild..
I am a huge person into defense . In my server having no white swords has helped our server become more aware of how important defense is and a nice response too as more are doing it !! I hope white swords stay away forever. The complexity of the battlefield can only be matched by battle tactics based upon your available abilitys to hold and defend what we need to on the battlefield.
Our guild has many members that can activate the + 5 supply buff. for some reason none of us in guild but my guild leader can see the one that is built and ready to activate. This just started in last 2 days. We can see the one that is active ticking away. I have same permissions as my guild leader as I am co-leader. I can see other boosts that are ready to activate but the + 5 supply. I even unclaimed ebg keep and reclaimed still does not show it ready to activate in upgrades panel. Any idea what might be going on??. Other guildys cannot see the + 5 that is built and ready to go either. Only my gl can see it.. Please help..

I think a solution in the end has to be found . Seige Trolls/ Supply burners hurt the integrity of fair and equal play and effect servers during tournys. An unfair justice is served to us because of these type people that must use unfair advantages to achieve the goals they desire… Its really sad to be honest..
Ive noticed many times that when new build comes out it wipes out golems and guild seige. This stuff is quite expensive specially if you have 20 golems built for a rush. Is this just a bug and is it going to be fixed ?? Thanks in advance.
This topic has come up before in this forum but that fact is the defenders get very few rewards unless you on a hot ac during a keep battle or whatever. Ive thought about this a lot. I am a commander but more on the defense side to help our offensive commanders.. So better rewards would be good if we got some points for seige building and it could be easy.. If you upgrade a tower with your money you get a point or 5 etc.. build a piece of seige in defense you get a point.. Call it defense rewards points. You can then accumulate points to buy stuff etc.. just a thought… tell me your thoughts on the backliners missing out on rewards.. Defense holds our stuff we get but those that defend (not zerging) dont get much… Tell me your thoughts and views..
Hey everyone thought i would bring this up and I havent seen much in this forum concerning this topic called Defense.. Most dont talk about it because very few do it. I thinks its an issue in all servers even large pop servers unless you got not just people committed but whole guilds involved. Best offense is the defense that backs it up. You can cap stuff all day but unless you defend it you wont have it very long. Defense must be 1st on our mind.. 1. cap tower or keep 2. put eyes in there at least 3-5 in a keep situation. 3. build seige ac’s must go up fairly quickly they offer a lot of defense before your trebs are built for gate protect etc. 4. upgrades and make sure someone knows how to upgrade so some pug doesnt click wrong upgrade so stay by quartermaster.. 5 guard supply and tell people (Dont Take Keep Supply ) you need it for upgrades. 6. make sure you guard them yaks thats your lifeblood without them you have no supply and your dead. 7. Good communication in map among your defensive teams and the CMDRS running the zergs. 8. Refresh seige its costly and without it you cant defend.. If you do all of this and a few more things i didnt go into, your chance of holding stuff has improved a lot. Outnumbered always cause issues with Defense if your numbers are lower then the enemy.. Whats your feeling on Defense ?? How does your guild or server treat this very important part of WvW ?? Lets find out.
Although ive done pve stuff . I know where i belong. WvW is a complex battlefield that challenges us all. Its great for many things exp karma etc but really WvW shines with all the diversity it brings. We hone our skills. we learn from mistakes and tbh its a lot of fun. I am a big guy on defense and ive seen it really work. Whats wvw really mean to you ? how has it effected you ? Have you become a better player because of it ? ok next..
I defend for hours and hours everyday and i get some rewards but not enough. A good offense is backed by its defenders and defense teams and havocs tapping stuff when they need too. This is a great discussion and I agree more rewards are needed for the backliners..
based on the swiss style tournament, and ranking system, you’ll see only SoS and TC switching groups week in week out. BG will always be stuck with JQ, while Mags will always be stuck with DB.
This looks pretty spot on to me. I highly doubt any 2v1’s will happen that might change these outcomes. DB could possibly get a 2nd place beating mag if they either got thier act together or TC helps 2v1 mag. SOS for whatever reason hates DB with a passion and hits us kitten every map gernerally leaving Mag alone on their bl for the most part. DB not really trying though its mostly smaller guilds looking for fights getting blobbed by huge SOS blobs. DB doesn’t scout upgrade defend or place/refresh siege for crap.
I disagree with you saying Dragonbrand doesnt refresh seige etc. I am a defensive commander and Dragonbrand is doing much much better at the defensive role. We have many commited to defense. I know the past hasnt been that way but we surely have a focus now.. as for the end rankings. We will see. at the end of 9 weeks we will know. Going to be a fun 8.5 weeks.
I have noticed the worst lag about the last 2 weeks.. not sure what thats all about. We can be outnumbered or not.. The lag attack comes on for a few minutes then backs off in EBG. Other day it didnt matter where I was wether it be the keep or Danelon. Seems to happen a lot around 10;00 am my time 8:00 am server (anet) time most often. it eventually clears and things get back to normal. Lag lasts from 10-20 minutes max for me then its gone. Hope this helps in solving the problem.
how about getting rid of upgrades in towers all together? make them the same as in EotM.
The Towers and their upgrades create the challenges that so many of us love in WvW. Reinforced doors vs paper changes the battlefield. Its perfect the way it is.
open options and check your graphics settings on gw2 try some different settings and see what works better for your system. Sometimes just a tweak on card or in game can make a difference.
