Ive been playing guild wars 1 for 8.5 years. I love the games these guys have created!

I didnt know where to post this but figured this is a good place and I feel this is good info. I am making a post on my new computer graphics because it works in Guild Wars 2. I am running a new computer with built in graphics on motherboard and it runs Guild Wars 2 very well in medium mode. 2.2 gig quad core AMD and 4 gigs of ram. The video is listed below.

I will say this has been a fun week in WvW.. Great battles Great strategies and Great Seigeing from all 3 servers. looking at the scores its been very balanced.. no runaway’s thats for sure
. I will say that Mags way of getting around sneaking around the map made me giggle a few times. You Fort Aspenwood guys surely had your forces out in a big way specially during your population spikes. Great fun this week. Thanks everyone.

Southshun one, repeatable a few times per hour Dragons…. some stuff in Orr… any event that is worth my time…

I dont have much trouble farming and getting gold.. max your mf as much as you can and farm. it may take a few hours but you will get the gold you need. Also make sure you have multi farms set up so DR doesnt get you.. Farm an area for an hour and move and come back later. You will find your drops better. Also kill the 3 dragons daily.. i have been doing that and it adds up in time.

I appreciate your “leaving the guild” suggestions (I am not in this guild now), but my message was not about that. It takes a month or two from people to understand how the guild operates. And during this time masters would continue taking advantage of other players. Having people come and go relatively often they can keep this guild forever. I want that to stop.

fact is no one should be anyones master unless its mutual. In the army or whatever you may have to be submissive and take order’s but in a video game?? really if your still there you must like having a master or sumtin. I would have been gone long ago and tell them no im a fellow gamer not your slave… wow

Really ? I wouldnt be in a guild like that if my last breath depended upon it. LOL im sorry but any guild like that needs to disband and take a course called fun gaming.

I put this here as theres no Guild Wars 1 forum. Curious how people feel. I’m in Guild Wars 1 right now as im typing this and its refreshing. Been playing the game since day 1. How do you feel about Guild Wars….. 3 months after Guild Wars 2 took over??

I have never heard bacon talked about more in a gaming community then Guild Wars and now Guild Wars 2. I even had someone eyeing my pig the other day and in local they said thats some nice bacon. What is it with Bacon and Gamers ? I think its funny that we focus so much on yes.. Bacon.. lol whats your thoughts about bacon talk and gaming.. let the truth be told about bacon ..

Guild Wars 2 is a brand new game its been out 3 months and a few days. I see some people starting threads to create controversy etc. All games specially MMO’s take time to sort out bugs, balancing etc. I know its not perfect but look at Guild Wars .. it took time there too. I see so many whining and complaining. This game is magnificent in so many ways so if you don’t like it why are you playing it ?? and most of all why are you here on this forum trying to stir up a hornets nest thats not there. Games are there to have fun so find the good in this one and have fun and if you can’t maybe find a new game.

I don’t believe anyone who says they get 2 rares and sometimes a corrupted lodestone from each dragon.

I have gotten 2 lodestones in about 30 Jormags (actually 1 was underwater so that was apart from him). And rares are less common in chests. I’d agree with the 50% chance to get a rare overall including adds. Never gotten an exotic ever, even with about 130% mf.

I participate to those events regularly and I just got 3 rares wednesday on two different dragons, so it is not an urban legend, it really happens (rarely), but no sign of exotics or lodestones so far :-)

last week i ran the dragons hard in between other things i was doing . I killed The Shatterer Tequatl the Sunless and The Claw of Jormag 3 times each in one day and ended up with 7 rares and 1 exotic bow from Sunless. I have never gotten a lodstone but i have gotten quite a few rare orbs. I sometimes will get 2 rares from one dragon but thats not often. In the end watching a group of people work together in a world event and get the job done is really fun and the chest rewards at the end are icing on the cake.. at least for me..

I kill the dragons daily as well as quite a few of my guildys. There fun and somedays drops are nice including exotics. i have gotten 2 exotics from Tequatl The Sunless.

there e-mailing in batches as i just got mine 5 min ago so be patient. ArenaNet is committed to us there customers and this fix for the karka event surely shows it. Thank You ArenaNet. Your awesome….

been going on for about 2 hours now off and on.

and one more thing i feel a commander should have good knowledge of any map hes on .. if not toggle commander off. good communication skills to lead the squad into whatever battle is about to happen and much much more. I see commanders good in 2 main areas WvW and big meta events dragons etc but meta events.. these are learned well by any of us if you do them enough… so where do they work..

is commander 100 gold per month ? or just a one time 100 gold.. Theres confusion on this if you look at wiki.. not much info there

I agree there are mats to farm if you dont need them and its kinda fun at times with friends etc.. is it grinding well yes but to get what you need and want in real life we have to put some effort in .. same here in Guild Wars 2. If you want a awesome weapon or that armor set its there waiting now just some effort on our part and you will have it. This game is only been out now for 3 months. patience is needed as ArenaNet fine tunes things. In the end im sure it will be balanced and work for all of us willing to invest some time and effort. Just my 2 cents worth….

So glad I came here and saw this thread. Good to know something is being done about this. I didn’t figure I was the only one, but didn’t realize there were so many.

Ya there are thousands that have been effected by the lag and load and disconnect issues . My pc locked up 3 times due to the lag that was occuring. All other big events such as Sunless, The Shatterer and Claw of Jormag etc, i never have any problems even with huge friday night groups of players. I too went back to waypoint and took 5-10 min to get back into game only to lag out again. My left skill bar as i was shooting arrows had 3 skills trying to activate contantly and finally an arrow would fly. I have never seen lag such as the lag with this event .

In Guild Wars 1.. Wintersday Halloween Cantha New Years and anything else i missed these events repeated every 3 hours for 8 times during a 24 hour clock, so Everyone in All Time zones had a chance to be part of it. Being that this event took 3 hours then go every 4 hours 6 times so in a 24 hour time period all time zones would have been able to do it..

The rewards chest was a disgrace, i spent 3 hours fighting mobs that dropped no loot, then the chest dropped 3 rares and 2 exotics.

I think you forgot the 20-slot bag and the awesome accessory. Those alone are worth doing the event. With that said I totally disagree with your opinion.

thats probally cause you got to complete the event 1000’s of us didnt Lag disconnects etc

The invisible Karka was so frustrating. How can ya fight something or defend in a constructive manner if you can’t see them coming. I was amazed at all the group wipes because of that.

Some are happy and some are not. We need to have patience and give Arenanet a chance to sort things out.

I locked up a few times where my game froze and then trying to get back in the little thingey just kept spinning. Got back in again after a few minutes to lag out terribly and freeze again. I was there for 98 % of it but the lag made it seem like an eternity. I too didnt get end chest due to lag and connection issues in the overflow I was in..

well fact is I’m serious…. i may be going back to Guild Wars 1 till this one and its servers are stable. so many lag issues today insti deaths broken armor and no rewards.. Im quite irritated..

To me this entire event has been a clusterbag of no no’s. Not only were the NPC’s bugged in part one so I did not get to finish, but the event today glitched out for over twenty people that I know and they were all unable to loot the chest.

I understand that this game is not perfect, but I had sincerely hoped you guys had learned something from the Halloween event. Apparently not. I do feel that when the next world event comes I won’t be participating, and if I continue to see a lack of customer caring as far as releasing content goes I’ll find another game to occupy my time.

at the end my armor broke beyond broke which broke my bank and now im really broke.. no loot just more broke..

Im going back to gw1 at least its stable. I am so disappointed with this weekends event. I was hoping mega meta and all i found was a lagged server with monsters that could wipe 60 people in 1.1 mili second.. Really ??

Today with this patch its been a little upsetting. Another over nerfed mmo = unhappy player base…

we work hard for those points. I lost a bunch too..

I have done ok in cursed shore doing chain events and many times im not partied due to time constraints etc. Finding rares is hit and miss from day to day just as compared to Shatterer Sunless and Jormag Their end chests vary day to day. I have full mf and somedays its works and somedays it doesnt. I do well on my ecto salvages tho. I use blacklion kit and i average 2-3 ecto per salvage but only on certain weapons.. Maces and axes 1 handed swords (rare of course) seem to have the highest yields. There have been days i didnt boost my mf with food or a banner and did better. MF is something we are going to figure out in time. Just like in Diablo2 mf numbers there was always a sweet spot.

how many agree with me the pig is one tough pet? Although he may aggro at times more then you need hes always there KDing things and his forages are nice too. I’ve sat there and watched my pig annilate undead and he comes back all happy.. almost saying Dad i took out some more zombies lol. Whats your thoughts on Mr. Pig ??

well i pronounce it Joe Ton but as I always do with pronunciations in this game i listen to the npcs. helps alot.

I agree Vanilla prices have gone crazy and the price is still climbing. With so many now making the omnom bars i see the price only climbing more to a level that will hurt players who are’nt as wealthy as some. The drop rate is still terribly low as when i do find a herb plant that decides to give me vanilla bean its like 4 beans and took me an hour to do that. so easy to farm more valued items such as Orich . Hopefully something can be balanced price or drop rate or sumtin..

a few people today were saying in map that some people had specifically taken the mobs somewhere and got them stuck and glitched the event to open the gates.
Maybe if this info is correct (not sure) will help you guys find a fix to prevent people from sabotaging a event. It was fine yesterday after patch and its already bugged again. Same thing last week and remained broke till server update. so maybe theres some validity of the comments i saw today in chat.
