Good God…Am I really going to have to save up 500 lurals to get ascended weapons and armor!?!?!?! That is a freaken year’s worth of lurals

O that clears it up a little. I was thinking parts for the staff need 3 crafting professions but it only need 1 OF the 3, not ALL 3.

I was going to start crafting up to level 500 so I can get Ascended armor and weapons. I got a few questions?

1. Are crafted ascended items account wide after creation and sole bound when equiped?

2. I noticed most ascended items require 3 or more crafting professions to be at 500, so would it be better to max crafting on one character or do two on multiple characters?

I am trying to get Shiverpeak Explorer, Maguuma Explorer, and Hint Completion. I am missing 2 on the two explorer achievements and one for the hint. Any guesses on what it could be or suggestions on what I should try?

I am looking to get the Knight Armor.

I just started playing sPvP and I was wondering how to get a specific set of armor. Can I just buy the skin from the trading post and transmute over the pvp armor? Do I have to grind to level 50 or something? Or just RNG with the mystic toilet?

This has been suggested before an Arena Net said they will never do anything like this. It punishes the other two servers. I’m on Yak’s Bend and Kaining is a mostly asian server. So during the day Yak’s Bend and the other server are very active while Kaining barely plays until late at night due to time zones. This would allow VERY FEW people to play during our peak ours and it will not let Kaining to play during their peak hours. Simply put the player caps will small and will further ruin WvW even more.

So no one cares to say anything about this?!?!

The elementalist is the best support class while attuned to water. The water auto attack is a good constant heal for meleers, healing rain is a good anti condition/party regen, geyser is a strong heal but small aoe heal, and if traited changing to water attunment will give a heal and aoe regen to people around you.

Yet another broken promise from Arena Net. I don’t know if you followed the game before release but dyes being account wide was a promise which of coarse they removed during the 2 or 3 beta weekend

I say just remove the downed system completely PvP and PvE. All people due is just exploit it by get a creature one hit from death when they go down so they can self rez quickly.

Nice job in the commentary. I agree with just about everything you said.
The closest profession that follows the DPS/Support/Control trinity that we were promised is the elementalist. Because I have been in dungeons and I can adjust my play style through attunments. For example water for heals, fire for dps, earth for snares. As for the other professions…ya they are just pure dps machines. Well guardian supports to a degree. Also with the dungeons…I have stopped in the middle of a dungeon boss fight to get something to drink, and no one even noticed I stopped attacking until they realized the boss was taking a little longer to kill then usual. Shows how important the group is. It’s more like 5 people doing the same dungeon then an actual team because a team is relying on everyone to do their part. Now it is just run around and just auto attack the boss to death. I have seriously killed a boss by running circles around him and killed him with my auto attack.

They have started to optimize the game but it will take several stages due to the engine being poorly build in the first place. Here is a quote from Mark Katzbach in the May 14th updates

I have noticed my cores are a little more evenly load wise.

I have 3770k@3.5 GHz and a 660 ti. I have never been below 25 FPS in WvW zergs or 100+ people in Dragon events. The video card is over kill for GW2 but the i7 will make a huge difference for you due to the 4 core/8threads and the extra 700 MHz per core. I recommend an i7 Ivy Bridge because it also runs on the 1155 socket, so you can use the same motherboard. The only negative is it will cost about $350-$400 because you will need a good CPU fan to keep it cool.

I would like to have GW1 combat system back. GW2’s combat system is about my only complaint I have with the game because it get boring very quickly.

I have noticed several people were wanting a Hard Mode option. I have a simple solution that should only make it harder for just the person/party in hard mode without affecting everyone around them. Plus this should be very easy to code. Let me know what you guys think.

General PvE
You will have the option to level yourself down up to 3 levels. For example, if you are in the Cursed Shore, level 80 area, you level yourself down to 77, 78, or 79. As a bonus, you can get something like 5% XP, 5% Magic find, or 5% of whatever for each level you are adjusted down. For example, Your are leveled down to 77 so you get a 15% bonus, 10% for 78, or 5% for 79. This way only YOU are at a disadvantaged while everyone else is practically unaffected.

Dungeons/Fractals
Same concept but it is party wide through the instance. For example, if you are doing AC explorable, level 35 normally, you can level the party down to 34, 33, or 32. Bonuses follow the same as above.

I would not go below a 650 GTX or whatever ATI’s equivalent is.

You could look on ibuypower.com and play around with their customization to see what you like. I have never ordered from them before but they get 4/5 of most of their newegg ratings. Definitely go for the FX-6300 or FX-8350 because they will give you the best bang for you dollar.

V card is a little weak and the CPU might be hard to overclock

Are you looking for a Prebuild PC or do you know how to build one from parts? Also monitor too?

As long as you i7 will engage into its Turbo mode to run at 3.3GHz and you keep it cool enough, you should get decent frames for most of PvE. I run GW2 with mostly 60+ frames on a first gen i3 @3.3

If you want a pre build gaming PC you can get something like this. It’s little over you budget but not bad price for what you are getting. I have never bought anything from ibuypower before though

I ordered an 3770k i7 and BIOSTAR TZ77B and would like to overclock it to around 4.0-4.2GHz. I know it can be pushed higher but just want 4.0 for now. Problem is I have lots of experience building PC but never had a reason to overclock. What do you change in the BIOS…multiplier, base clock, or what? Also I will not be replying until tomorrow afternoon due to work.
