Guild Wars 2

FA has arguably the strongest Oceanic presence in T2, with multiple skilled guilds such as AVTR, uA, and PRO among others. We begin to fall during the NA morning hours when KN starts to come into their asian primetime. The only South East Asian (SEA) guilds that we have currently are DPS and Hero. Both of them do work and make a huge difference, but they are still outnumbered overall and have to focus a single map or end up spread too thin. I don’t believe we have any EU guilds currently on the roster. We do have a good sized force of militia during these hours, but lacking in commanders to lead them.

ooo boy did KN sure come back with a vengeance this morning.

This matchup looking a lot closer this week, glad Anet made this change.

Just a heads up, one of our commanders liked his stay in FC so much that he will be returning to stay. Treat him well <3

Shoutout to CERN for giving VK a good GvG on our first night back. We were excited for it and even though both sides were probably tired, we all had a lot of fun. Those were some good fights you had against HOPE as well.

Well I’m back home in FA. Going to miss FC and everyone in it. Hopefully Glicko is fixed one day so SF can move up to the tier it belongs in, and you all can get some even matchups. (It’s actually looking like GoM will be dropping to T8 in a few weeks time, so hang in there)

Shoutout to Agg for giving us the honor of multiple GvG fights. Learned a lot from it and we are already reevaluating our comp and coming up with some new ideas.

T1 player here looking to transfer to a lower tier, how is the WvW scene in T2, is it anything like T1 with mega zerg balls in all WvW maps? Hows the skill lag for you guys?

I have to said your going to get mega zergs in any server you go in, the only difference is the level of organization in those tiers. One guild split up and headed to tier 8 because these higher tiers were too zergy. They found out that tier 8 is just as zergy but worst overall, needless to say they are coming back.

Please don’t spread false rumours. It has been public knowledge since day 1 that VK simply took a 1 week break to FC to see how different it was and to teach them higher tier tactics. Look at FA forums/ ask any major wvw guild, RET included. The plan was to come back after a week before we even made the transfer. Only a handful of us went, over half our guild is still in FA

I have rather enjoyed this trip into T8 so far. My honest opinion is this. I was rather shocked to see the numbers that SF can field. Was not expecting that many in T8. Although this was EB, and it seemed to me that the BL’s were dead for the most part. It could be that EB is where most of SF goes. The culling patch could be the culprit but it seems to me like SF has more numbers than FA did 3 months ago during our time in T3. That could also be wrong though because SF is immensely scattered, whereas in higher tiers, most of the numbers are grouped on commanders. WIth numbers alone though, I think SF can do pretty well in T7 and probably even push past T7 if they get more organized and wear the proper gear.

FC certainly has some numbers as well, it just takes some work to get them out. Can’t blame them for being incredibly demoralized, FA went through the same thing in T3 for a few months. Seems like all they need is a few good leaders that people can rally on and they could do some serious work.

I feel like we are doing better this week than last week. Partly because we made some mistakes during last week. Have a different game plan this time and it seems to be working out for us so far. To be completely honest we were looking for fights way too much. TC has mastered the art of maxing the ppt and we were punished for it. Fighting RISE, CO, and WM is just so hard to pass up though. So much fun fighting these guilds when we show up to whack on their doors.

Tarnished Coast has a very strong but not large presence when compared to KA/BG. We’re a bit outnumbered around 3a EST and later but you it doesn’t show on the score board because I think our later hour players are some of the most skilled on our server. If you’re looking for people to play with while keeping the atmosphere competitive and not a zerg-fest, I think TC would be the best fit for you.

Isn’t TC a t3 server? I’m kind of supprised you say its not a zerg fest.

TC is a T2 server that is only in T3 right now because there are 4 T2 level servers. With SoS falling a bit, I expect TC to be up here in T2 with SoS settling in T3. Really looking forward to fighting TC again.

They do work while our NA crew sleeps and are quite fun to roll with on our community TS. Just the other night, uA had a guild birthday and celebrated by fielding 50+ and turning all of Kain and SoS BL’s red.
My guild is mostly NA and I’m always up later than them so I tend to be around our night crew guilds a lot. As long as you don’t mind a bunch of drunk Aussies working in unison on TS, you should fit in just fine.

Kain NA is wierd at the moment. We dont seem to have any trouble taking SM or whatever keeps we want, but then we go off and get in a stupid fight with SoS over a tower or something and FA just walks into a free keep.

FA is playing it properly at the moment, taking key points from Kain when the opportunity arrises and dropping a tonne of seige to make it impossible to take back.
This is all good though, another opportunity for Kain to learn how to play against a more turtly server. BG/Kain/TC was all about the open field battles/zerg v zerg and we are clearly a bit out of practise at the simple art of defending our own keeps.

Not gonna lie, we are determined to not go back to T3. I’m sure a lot of us are losing sleep and a good bit of sanity over it.

We were top server just a few weeks ago, now we can barely hold a handful of towers. Are we destined for T8? If that’s the case, I’ll probably just transfer. I play this game for WvW and running around with groups about half the size of the others servers isn’t fun, unless repair bills are considered fun.

I wouldn’t worry. Been very impressed by SoS this week and can say that you guys (TSYM in particular) wiped us more on reset night than the entire previous week in T3. Think you guys would be very strong in T3 as long as you don’t lose more people to transfers.

No disrespect to T3. I love Mag and DB, (didn’t see much of yaks) but you guys just don’t have the numbers or the coverage that SoS has I feel. Not just that but I know you guys (Mag at least) have a hatred of moving together in large groups and from what I’ve seen from SoS, they manage to get every single person in their BL to form one coordinated ball and walk over everyone’s corpses

Out of all the T1/2 servers begging for more people in their desperate attempt to move up the ladder to achieve some sense of accomplishment, FA is the most deserving. They actually have players who know what they’re doing and do it when it needs to be done.

Also, I never want to have them in my tier again, so bandwagon here and enjoy the “large scale epic fights.”

I’ve been loving T2 so far and hope we can get the coverage to stay here. These large scale epic fights are honestly pretty epic and the stress of commanding in one is something I am starting to love. Myself and others have been turning into insomniacs this entire week to hold off Kain as long as possible before we finally get swept away and have to throw in the towel for the night/morning. It’s currently 9am here and I can’t keep my eyes open any longer. I’ll do this every night if it means we don’t have to go back to T3. I would sure love to have a bit more coverage in our early morning hours though. I can’t live like a vampire forever.

Let’s all blame Kain. They deserve it.

To clear up some of this drama with DB, I am rather sure this post was made in an effort to even the field with TC and Kain who have also made similar threads. They are our biggest obstacles to staying in T2. Not only that, but a lot of guilds from SoS are transferring to BG, which has started a bit of a transfer war among the T2 servers for anyone left in SoS who is unhappy. (no disrespect to SoS, just telling it how it is).

That being said, FA would gladly welcome anyone who wants to join us in our eternal hunt for bags.
