The best way to counter the boons is either a sword mesmer or a mallyx Herald. When I was doing the 41-50 fractals, I just took Mallyx and spammed the Boon rip on the bosses. It helps a lot honestly.

Fun first day on BG =) It’s strange getting used to the different terminology between the regions. I’ll probably never forget the silence and confusion I caused in ts by saying “they have downed” instead of “spike them.” xD

I must say, Deso has the most zerker players of any server I have encountered in GW2 o.O

I’ve been saying the same statement about AM all week. We have an influx of pve players thanks to easy matchup. As you know, PVErs don’t know of a different armor stat other than Zerker.

The majority of our actual wvwers are pretty tanky. It’s a common discussion among our commanders that wearing Zerker gear is a big no-no.

Shout out to Gandara for being INCREDIBLY fun to fight all week. I like the way you guys play wvw =) Strong players, small groups. My kind of server.

That awkward moment when a T1 server is matched up with a t4 and t5 server….. Why can’t Anet just implement the 1st goes up and last goes down method again? From what I understand it’s so t1 servers don’t play t3 servers… but… yea….. concept failed =D

Interesting how some SFR guilds are interested fighting GoD, DVG etc, but refuse to fight guilds they know will be a challenge.

Best advice is to re-roll a warrior or theif or engineer or necro or mesmer or gaurdian… well not a gaurdian but everything else is better than an ele.

First off. Lol at this post. Ele is one of the best classes for wvw in the game.

Second off. Definitely spend your karma. Buy PVT gear from the temples. Here’s a couple ideas.

For Zerging, go pvt with Boon duration runes(2 Superior Monk runes, 2 Superior Water runes, and 2 Major Water Runes). Go 0 10 0 30 30(I or VI; III, IX, XI; V, VIII, XI) spec with staff. Use Ether Renewal, Cantrips, and whatever elite you like(I lean towards Elemental). This is a very cookie cutter build. Staff is the best zerg weapon by far. The fields that are available for a staff are unparalleled. Do whatever you want with the stats on your trinkets and staff to fit your needs. Stay at 1200 range, know your skills inside, outside, and upside down, and win with your superior aoe. The big fields to really understand how to use are Healing Rain, Frozen Ground, Static Field, and Lava Font.

For roaming, go with either Scepter/Dagger or DD. Builds can vary a lot here depending on what you want to do. I wouldn’t recommend specing into fire at all. Go at least 20 points in Arcana and Water, then through the remain 30 around as you please. I would always grab V in Arcana and either VI or IV. Lots of really good traits in the other areas, play around and see what you like and how you’d like to play =)

Those guilds put out a lot of solid commanders and most have a lot of really good wvw experience.

Maybe. but none of these guilds respects roamer. They are just freekills for them. Seems like the Maxime of all of these guilds is: Kill single roamers with 20+ PPl and then start dancing around them.

Not a single one of these guilds is honourable. ^^ The only guilds i’ve ever seen which definitely respect roamers are Red Guard [RG] and Furious Cookies [FURY].

If I’m leading, unless you run with a Vizunah invader tag above your head, I let roamers live. Months of watching Vizunah be… well.. Vizunah has left a ever lasting hate in me, and anyone that transfers to that server deserves to be blobbed to death, since that’s what their night cap team is.

If you aren’t from Vizunah, I actually command my guildies to NOT kill roamers or people doing 1v1s. I will continue to actively work toward that as well.

So, why hating Vizunah’s roamers and not the others ? There is something I don’t understand, these peoples never escapes from fights (except if you come with your zerg) and are not blobbing.

Months and Months of watching 70 Vizunah nightcap the entire map and flip every keep in that game then hide in their t3 keeps at primetime has created a deep seeded hatred in me for everyone on that server. There is simply no excuse for anyone on that server. You know full well what the server does and how it wins. I do not care if you do or do not engage in that behavior, the fact of that matter is that you transferred to a server that does. So for that reason, you deserve to be blobbed to death constantly whether it’s by 20 or 100. I deserve compensation for all of the gold I’ve had to put into upgrading keeps again in the morning.

I don’t normally complain about tactics on these forums, but can I please ask Elona to stop building 10 acs to defend a wooden tower? It ruins the spirit of the game. Let’s just have some good fights guys. No one likes when there’s a million arrow carts to defend a tower.

Did our server own Chuck Norris Jr aka Wemil drove INVI away from EB or what they doing in borderland?

We run our guild runs in borderlands so we can get as many members together as possible. It’s rare for EB to not have a queue on Desolation, our server simply loves that map.

Besides, borderlands have more guild groups and small groups than eb tends to. Eb tends to be 3 large blobs just by the nature of the map, so it’s hard to really get our training in. We enjoy fighting on both(most of us) and have been having an absolute blast in T2.

Idk for our pug forces, but I know for a fact when Ins or I commands, we do no run from fights. We may regroup to a more tactically sound position and then come at you face on, but we don’t run. I don’t command for points, I command for fights.

On that note, I’ve been having the best fights since we came to t2. Lots and lots of smaller scale fights, the match feels balanced, people come from their towers and keeps. Thank you Kodash and SFR =) You guys are actually fun to play against and my wvw bug is being revived =D

What? I’m one guy from North America… as far as I know, we only have 3 north americans that regularly do wvw on the entirety of desolation…. Me and 2 Canadians. Everyone else transferred to SoR with Iron.

It’s been fun fights all weekend. Like scanz said, no running or hiding from any server. I’m really, really enjoying t2!

Deso loves you guys =D It’s nice not seeing 50 man blobs at night. We’re running a 15-20 man “zerg” atm capping eb and deso border. Coming to sfr border, where’d you guys go?

Just because we are in Tier 2 now, does not mean we have to turn into Vizunah. We as a server did nothing but complain about night cap PVD for 3 months straight. There is no excuse for us to have a 500+ point tick as soon as night hits now that we have weaker competition.

Instead, enjoy yourselves with the fights still. Day fights are awesome in t2, having tons of fun. But it wasn’t fun waking up with a t1 keep in EB, it won’t be fun for Kodash and SFR tomorrow.

Let’s let everyone have fun! We aren’t in t1 any more, we don’t have to counter night blobbing with night blobbing! We can relax! Come on people!

Great fights in EB as usual =) Finally got a commander tag on my Ele! Able to lead us to a successful defense of sm for a good hour straight! Thanks for the good fights Viz and Elona. Desolation and INVI had a lot of fun tonight!

Amazing fights at prime time are being a common trend in eb this week. Ins commanding has made our force that much stronger! We didn’t wipe once for 3 and a half straight hours…. except the one time he lead everyone off the cliff north of red keep by the bridge <.< Great commanding ins! Great fights SFR and Viz! Keep coming out to take us on, we love it! Filled my bags about 5 times today! Went 2 hours without losing my stacks!

Magnetron don’t troll. Fights were EPIC in EB today. Thank you viz for coming out of your towers to fight us this reset. It was an absolute blast! I look forward to taking your keep again next reset with Ins! Eternal Invictus made our debut very promising today!

Finally I know who the commander from Deso in EB is. Are proud and happy you say? Are you proud of double team with VZ? For hours you don’t even flip a VZ camp? Is this my imagination? No, VZ players know watt I’m talking about. It was epic for us yes, we never lost our keep, even when we get attacked from both sides, trebed from Bravos by Deso, and from Langour by VZ, we resisted at to consecutive attacks from VZ with golems, you are proud, you say, a big lol to you.
BTW are you the commander that Wemill put to cry a few weeks ago? Well he is back!!! Not played to many hours this week. Are you proud to let Anza in VZ hands for long time, and keep targeting SFR?

Yes I’m very, very proud to have played to all the guys from SFR during the weekend (guys sometimes I have to be hard with you because, we can’t do mistakes against VZ). Keep going “big” Deso commander, you only make us stronger.
I have nothing to say to the way VZ are playing, we have played like them when we are strong, for me the way they playing only show respect for us, they try to score points, that’s the name of the game, for us is a chance to all new commanders and players learn how to play, because he have a strong opponent we have to react according to that.

Please don’t hide behind problems, the only problem we are facing atm (butt all servers have it) is the skill delay, Anet must work in a solution to this.

We are not going to win this week again, but for me maybe I can have another “victory”, we need to stay one more week in T1, and after this another one, and so on. One day our guilds will come back, and we will be strong again.

Beatrix and Coin don’t normally run on EB. This is the first week in months.

Vizunah doing what they do best. Using stupid amounts of siege early in the morning.

Couple problems with this.

1.) It’ll encourage people to only follow highly ranked commanders. And when certain commanders dominate the commanding during the day, they are going to strech far ahead of others. People would rather follow the rank 10 than the rank 1, when both could be equally skilled.

2.) Which brings me to my next point, you don’t know how much experience this person has at rank 1. For instance, Moorta from deso recently got his guardian to 80 and bought a commander tag on it. He has days upon days of commanding experience on his main, but he’d be rank 1 on his alt. His commanding experience is the same, but people will only see a number.

3.) New commanders NEED people to follow them so they can learn what they are doing. Commanding is a trial and error experience. You don’t just turn a tag on and learn how to command, it takes practice.

So think you should follow whomever is commanding a map. it’s helps everyone if you let someone lead. If you don’t like something they are doing, whisper them. My guild always says that if you think a commander is doing something incorrectly, let them know. Be polite. Ect. It helps them to be better commanders.

Having tons of fun on EB tonight. It’s nice to finally be able to face Viz and SFR with nearly even numbers. Killed nearly all of my siege trying to push objectives and fight at key towers.

Keep up the excellent fights guys. Still learning as a commander to take you guys on zvz!

You need every class in an organized Zerg to be effective.

Guardians and Warriors are your front line. They take the beating and provide the utility you need with light fields, whirl finishers, area of denials, stuns, and general condition cure.

Eles, Necros, and Mesmers are the fields that really provide the buffs and boosts you need ikittenerg to out class a group. Properly placed Dark fields, Ethereal fields, and Fire/Water fields are key to winning a collision.

Thiefs are their own role. Scouting for the zerg and sniping dollies and camps solo can really help a server be successful. Plus thieves can finish downed people with ease.

Engis and Rangers are ranged damage that cleans up the walls or fields where it’s needed.

Every role is important, if anyone tells you otherwise they’re wrong.

If I had to pick the classes that a zerg needs the most or few of, I would say every team needs more Guardians, Warriors, and Eles. They only need a few Thieves, Engis, and Rangers. Mesmers and Necros should be a moderate number.

As has been said multiple times this week, we’re playing for fun. We’ve been hitting Vizunah literally ALL DAY. We flipped Brovast and Durius 4 times in the past 3-4 hours.

Open your eyes and quit whining on the forums when we Golem rush you once, since 2 hours ago you attacked mendon’s and Anza’s 3 times.
