Every elite specialization borrows traits and mechanichs from another (ex. Mesmer/Chronomancer – Wells,Necromancer/Reaper – Shouts,Guardian/Dragonhunter – Traps etc.) creating a unique NEW mechanic system from what the players has been used to while playing their characters without changing each class’ theme.
As we know the Ranger will become Druid gaining access to a Staff making him more of a mage and the Engineer will have access to a Hammer and some flying dromes(propably gaining acces to minions like the Necro has) making him a bit more melee/fighter.
I believe that the Warrior would be interesting to have something like the Mesmer’s mechanics. Gaining access to a scepter but as an off-hand weapon to summon and command troops of warriors like him.(Something like Thief’s elite skill:Thieves Guild) The scepter would not fire bolt’s or anything but it would have command spells to order the summoned troops to attack.
The troops would have more NPC’s automatic personality and they could even pick up the banners that the Warrior casts. They dont have to be something too fancy…holding a standar shield and sword and wearing standar armor but always always be the same race as the Warrior.
I believe is an cool mechanic to have in the game without changing the core theme of the class but upgrading it like the rest do for other classes making him more of a commander for an army. Warrior’s Elite specialization would be the: Inquisitor
I really love the work that has been done in the entire game of Guild Wars 2…I really do…The world is full of life the animations and vfx are awsome and the whole world breaths of life.
But there are some things that I have noticed that kinda bug me.They seem to not fit well with everything else.I’m refering to some in-game models that I believe they need just a bit of work to create a more fitting and realistic sense to the game, especially since they are used in battle.
I’m refering to :
1)The Oakheart model – I believe that the model of the Oakheart treant model it is way overused in-game.We have the Human elite skill “Avatar of Melandru” that literally turns you into one. Next there is the Sylvari elite skill “Summon Druid spirit” and finaly all the spirits that The Ranger class can summon. Oakheart here…oakheart there… oakheart everywhere!
Wouldn’t make more sense if the Ranger Spirits looked more like wisps?
Wouldn’t be better if the Avatar of Melandru looked more like Melandru herself/ gave you a weapon/changed your armor texture or tranformed you into something else?
I mean c’mon turning in to a tree? That’s the sylvari’s specialty…
I guess the Druid Spirit that the sylvari summons does make some sence since they are both plant-themed.But the rest…not so much.
2)The Norn Forms – Yeah I know…this suggestion does not take the price but you have to agree with me that the forms do not agree with female Norn characters. The Models of the four spirit animals are way to bulky for the female Norn and its a shame because those elite racial skills are what basicly determine the entire race.Plus there is not animation when they transform,no vfx…nothing.Your character just disappears and in its place appears a bulky werebeast. Plus am I the only one who thinks that the Raven Form should have wings in its model?Right?…If you are to become a half-Norn Half-Raven spirit be more representitive. The existing model looks like a naked Black Tengu.

*Note: There is no vfx or animation of any type in other tranformation skills as well.(exp:Avatar of Melandru,Lich Form etc.)
3)Seed Turrets – Seed Turret of the racial skill with the same name and the elite skill “Take Root” of the sylvari race. I thing that as a racial skill is pretty sweet but the flowers that bloom around you ready to fire projectiles at your enemies seem sooooo lame in design.I love how as a sylvari you can “blossom” to attack your foes but the model and animation is lazy and the sound they make as they attack doesn’t make any sense at all and Anet can definitely do better than that, they have proved it.

4)Lich Form – Lich form of the Necromancer class is this powerhouse that allows you to kick butt for a brief time in battle. But the form does not agree with all the races. The form itself its gigantic and does not feel as you play your character anymore. I know that it is just cosmetic but it would be really cool if every race had its own lich form.I’m not reffering to anything extreme or change of the forms powers but rather something more fitting.

Personaly i would like to see the Thief get a Torch making some short of Tresure Hunter. It fits the core theme of the class and i would like to see a bit of *Enutrof*_(class from Dofus and Wafku games)_ action but I have no idead what spells he could have.
Otherwise he could get a Rifle and become some short of Bounty Hunter.
