Depending on how different the stats are, it may bring me back to the game. Lack of gear progression is why i stopped played after hitting 80.

They lost their game to bots so are nerfing droprates on most overfarmed materials, lol.

I noticed this aswell..

I made 12 weapons a few weeks ago and got back 29 ectos from Black lion kits, tried with 4 yesturday, not a single ecto was given.

So long as if theres new armor, it doesnt look exactly the same as base exotic armor, lol.

Has exactly the same cosmetic look at the base exotic (60s or so). Save yourself the disappointment & gold and dont bother.

Named armor, with the same cosmetic look as its standard exotic counter part..

Now the Mad kings armor has exactly the kittening same cosmetic look to it, the standard exotic which sells for anything from 60s to 2g..

Which is just plain lazy..

Like seriously, why? If this game “isnt going to have an end game” in terms of item progression, then atleast broaden the cosmetic side of it, because its so narrow right now, in terms of what you can get off the TP, theres like 3 named sets of armor for each armor class and they share the exact same style as their level 76 exotic.

I.e Nikas medium set, same looks as the Duelist set..

Nika’s armor.. 7g-11g
Duelist.. 55s-2g

Make named armor special for the price tag which is currently unjustified and i cant believe people actually buy after i managed to forge a few pieces of it, and laughed to myself when it actually sold..

Needs its own cosmetic looks, kinda feels like the game is still in beta stage and the cosmetic part of it is just acting as a placeholder for whats being modeled/textured/whatever.

Oh. I’ll take a guess. Don’t look at lvl 70+ because no-one buys anything with 80 in sight and once you hit 80 the market is glutted. The sweet spots are level 35/50/65, I’d guess. The trick is having enough gold to control the market, buying up anyone under-cutting you and controlling the selling price.

Four hours a day for 3 months = approx 350 hours. I actually understand that because I was addicted to the TP when the game launched but I prefer farming now. Though I only play maybe an hour a day now. In Orr you’ll make 1.5 gold an hour (some will claim much more) with the right gear. Do the math.

What math? Im to lazy yo. Some days i dont even log in, just treating the game as a market simulator untill the new Hitman is out Plus dota2 take up alot of reserved gaming time.

I agree, takes a simple google + copy & paste to put in a kittening GMT time conversion, im way to lazy to do it myself so i’ll just have to find out when i load up GW2 and theres a new patch available. :|

Armor and weapons

Not going to say which markets, just in 3 months ive made 462g so far. Though i pretty much only log in for 4 hours each day to play the TP setup buy/sell orders etc.

Alot of it to do with buying out 10-20 cheapish bits of the armor/weapons and reselling all pieces for small profit + combining that with buy orders for lower price for even higher profit margin at the end of it.

Not really, the past 3 weeks of GW2 i have spent in Lions arch, on the trading post. GW2 is my market simulator. I play Dishonored / DOTA2 / Crysis 1 / insert FPS for any adrenaline needs.

Yeah im using it aswell, hopefully if their bot detection isn’t so primitive to throw up SweetFX as a cheat engine of some kind then shud be fine imo.

Makes sense considering how much they cost to make and the time needed to get all the pieces for them. 1 extra damage is abit, silly. Give them a decent damage boost imo.

Ok, so, if i understand..

The price of gems increases relative to gold from gold to gem purchases, in order to get more gold out of the ‘economy’ for good, acting as a massive sink.

So as time goes on, there will be more gold on everyone, which means more gold spent on gems, which means higher gem prices for silver/gold cost.. rite?

Dunno why but i never fully understand anything untill i find out the reasons why something acts the way it does, lol.

Just out of curiosity, why would you buy such an expensive armor piece? Its cosmetic appearance is the same of the lesser rare exotic set which goes for 60s-2g.

I.e Exotic Nika’s chest for 15g looks exactly the same as the duelist coat, worth 1-2g.

The stats may differ but you would most likely have picked up Fine xmute stones by now and you can get the stats you require from dungeon merchants.

Just curious as i said, ive made alot of gold forging named bits of armor but it still baffles me as to why people actually spend a ridiculous amount of gold on something which stats wise could be obtained with a short amount of time dungeon farming, or cosmetic wise obtained for a small fraction of the cost.

But yeah, you can list x amount of ‘gems’ for y price same goes for buying.

No clue whats going on here but it seems alot of merchants in LA have a mind of their own today.

P.S Do not laugh at my incomplete vistas. I still have yet to complete a single map.

I still use s/p after nerf. Its fun. And the cleave it gives in events is extremely benificial for picking up like 30 bags on the CoF event.

D/p is cool aswell, blind aura + heartseeker = stealth into backstab.

Im a thief with full power/pre/crit gear and barely die on path 2/3. Even had to stand around fire imps for 15mins whilst the team sorted itself out on the torches.

Thats ofc not counting path2-kite-till-dead-respawn-and-hope-magg-doesnt-die-room, though its cool to be naked every once in a while.

And 100 gold of gear? You realize most exotic (tradeskilled) armor sets dont brake 4g a piece, so for a complete exotic tradeskilled armor set your looking at 24g or less and maybe 15g or less for the jewlery. Tradeskilled also has the same stats as the named stuff, which i find extremely odd.

Just thinking, what would happen if BLTC keys were removed from storyline mission rewards and were made free items. They could be traded, sold on the trading post, etc.

They would become a currency, and people who want to gamble to open chests to get the rare permanent versions of the trading post etc would just buy the keys for x silvers off the AH.

This would probably drive up gem cost and also increase profits from the gem store as obviously the TP is player driven the key prices would fluctuate alot, but there is another option open to players who want the keys.

There isnt much to inspect.

All gear is pretty much the same apart from cosmetics, which is all the inspect function would serve. I.e, ‘Oh i like the look of this dagger this guy has on but hes AFK, ill just inspect to find out what it is’

Any player would find that hard, as exotic gear is achievable in a short amount of time, you cant expand on a hardcap, which is what exotics are to stats, they are the point of which you cant progress any further in terms of attributes.

The only small differential would be;

Toughness Vit armor
Pre power armor
or, Magic find armor.

My suggestion is to expand the attributes on items. Once you have your first set of exotic, say a set of crafted berserkers armor, your done, pretty much. You cant move forward in terms of character progression unless you keep buying/forging/whatever new items to use transmutation stones on them.

Loot picked up in dungeons is insignificant and will only get salvaged, sold or thrown in the forge. Id like to see a complete item stat revamp.

Currently you have 3 choices, all of which are all very similar.

Magic find armor
Damage armor
Tank armor

There needs to be a way to introduce new stats or just items with higher values, even legendaries im pretty sure have the same stats as their exotic counterpart, and if they do differ, its not by much.

Ive found the game to be extremely CPU intensive, my sisters computer had the CPU to temps of 93+ degrees which caused the game to run at 1-4fps, and obviously bad for the CPU. Problem was the thermal paste needed reapplying, 40-50c after reapplying thermal paste and clearing out the crap windows stock fan.

As for GPU, my GTX 570 hasnt gone above 57c, though it is one of those GPUs built for heat treatment. On the other hand if you have an actual heatsink-graphic card like a GTX 295, itd probably hit the high 90s without a decently cooled tower.
