Pretty funny how you can guess that there is a VoTF signature at the end of a post that say something like :
“Oh god, some epic battle on [insert random location] ! Looted tons of bags..”
or
“Great fights [insert random guild]. Looted tons of bags”
or
“[random server] has got some pretty big zerg. Looted tons of bag”.

[…]
When bragging and AWing become kind of a second nature.

I was sick to see my guildmates farm dungeon instead of joining me in WvW but at least, i knew that it was only for a few more days/weeks until everybody have the skin and stats they want.

And now it’s back to the begining with a new Tier of stuff ??

The game wasn’t supposed to be a grind fest.. 250 T6 mat, for a backpiece, ARE YOU KIDDING ??!! And it’s not only for the look as it was supposed to be.

Cya GW2, i go on PS2.. I will miss WvW and all the political metagame but at least, i’ll have open battles without this kind of Korean game grind kitten

I guess we don’t have the best coverage nor the best guilds on VS (just look at the composition of what you’re actually fighting. 80% of our roster are pick-up groups), but at least we never give up, even after all those weeks of roughs battles. We never had the luxury to rest as each week we’ve got a new prom server which finally get to T1 (like AS, ER, Deso, BT) and turns into frenzy mode for a week.

This Ruin thing is such a joke.. And the worst thing is that if VS just showed half of this coward spirit, we would have seen a ton of crap about how french peoples are just white flag pros.

T1 is not about coverage, carrying guilds and other BS. It’s all about fighting spirit.

Is it the first time you are actually doing WvW ?

Being sieged at both sides of Stonemist, Garnison, Bay [etc..] is pretty common.

I personnaly would have prefer to fight the new Deso, without RUINS. We would have seen how the europeans of this EU server have evolved.

I think people complains about what is going to happen, how cheap victory will be : you won’t win over De, Fr or Sp servers cause of your own actions, because of a good strategy on the battlefield. You will win because full overseas rosters will be playing when you and most of your Fr, De or Sp ennemies will sleep. Because it’s what it’s going to happen : ppl tend to make what is needed to make victory easier.

Does anybody played on Darkfall Online ? Ppl maxed their attributes by hitting afk guild mates inside keeps for weeks, because it was the easier way to be efficiant.

I only see one problem : prime of “EU-americans” being more rewarding than prime of europeans on EU servers.
Ruins came cause they thought there was french canadians or whatever players from an other timezone but there isn’t. Did you see any CaSu in WvW ? They are supposed to be 500 so we could assume we should see as much CaSu’s tag as ruins’s tag. Do you see this ? It’s just a troll. There was a night coverage on Elona a few weeks ago due to hollidays, there was a night coverage last week on Fr due to the same reason.

EU server is being messed up just when the top 5 was about to equilibrate.

That’s why there should be only one worldwide ladder without tags, or 2 separate ladders without migrations allowed. Otherwise, Fr, De and Sp will have to quit their server and let them die at the bottom of the ladder

There is 2 options :

1) FS and Deso/Riverside grow nightshift armies and stay in the 1st bracket.
2) FS and Deso/Riverside don’t grow nightshift armies and will be replaced by servers with 24/7 WvW population.

How could it be lame in this particular case ? You would at least have some resistance from VS, si it would not be some kind of “stealing”..

That’s why we french can play at night : we’ve got a good fuel :o

At least you won’t be able to say that people can’t take back nightcapped forts.. Sunday morning, all maps were blue and at the end of the weekend, the 3 fortress of FS map were stolen and fully upgraded (at least Bay and Aska) on “fair timezone”.

Here is a screenshot, taken at 10:50 PM yesterday.

I was on Shiverpeaks map (i’m a Vizunah) all day long and it costed a lot of tears and blood to take the Bay and defend it against the Deso at south, the FS at north.. We managed to take Garnison from FS while defending Bay barely in the Lord room; ending the evening with 3 fortress of the map.

Same on Vizunah map where we were starting with a full blue map, spending the whole morning to take th NE tower (can’t remember the name in english), pushing out 2 giga bus (i can’t imagine you don’t remember those 2 fights if you were there.. The second chase was an epic back and forth).

It has been rough the whole day but you can’t say you were crushing a dead body, that you were OWNING us.

I don’t care about being 1st or 2nd (i hope you won’t take it too personnaly, but imo Desolation, you are at your spot at 3rd place), it won’t change the match up. I even don’t care about being in the first bracket.. In fact, this a mostly negative cause there is a positive flux of migrating people on our server, but i don’t want to leave it (friends in other guilds, good alliance etc..).

Anyway, as we say in french : “la roue tourne”.. It means “the wheel turns”. No doubt that we will probably be taken down of this 1st place.. Maybe by FS, maybe by an other server. I just hope we will stay in a good dynamic, with a good communication between guilds and pick up zergs as we actually have.

Anyway.
WvW history won’t be written in a weekend, neither in a mounth.

Well, Spanish openly admited Baruch Bay scores at night because of latin american players, so i woudnt be surprised that french servers would actually have canadians as well. That said, in your defence – Far Shieverpeaks is supposed to have a far east russians from DalZone to fight at day.

There is probably french canadians.. But it’s not the core of the night zerg. 100% of french canadians are able to write in english, 5% of french are (shame on us). Why is there no french canadians to claim their night victories on english boards, to quote “all” of us (french coming on your boards) who say they are a drop in the VS night community ?

I’m french, on VS, and i personnaly don’t give akittenabout points, whether those points are won on day or night time.

The only thing that bothers me is that me and my guildmates juste CAN’T go in WvW at “casual time”, aka 9AM to middnight. The fault is probably ours (leaders of my guild) because we choose this server.

Fort Ranik was not a good choice in our oppinion due to “Fort Ranik Alliance”, which is an alliance with hundreds of random people not knowing each others (even if the rules and mechanichs of this alliance seem pretty good). Jade Sea was a “veto” because of the big alliance of “multigaming pro guilds” like Millenium & there friends. Augury Rock wasn’t prettier when we looked who were going on it.

Vizunah seemed to be a good choice : a lot of WvW guilds we fought on WAR, on DAoC. But i’m pretty sure that there is tons and tons of WvW dedicated players that had the same idea.
And you can add to those rosters all the solo wannabe who joined the server because it was “top Eu” since a few days. Pathetic.

So now, we are 30 players, mostly dedicated to WvW but unable to go in WvW because we have hours of queue. We are allied with a guild of 20 players, dedicated to WvW and unable too to have more than 3 or 4 players on WvW between 8AM and middnight.
Lot’s of irl friends are in the same situation in their 60+ members which have a work, kids and stuff.

Hopefully, the core of my guild were hardcore top world EQ1 players, so they enjoy the PvE content while we wait for better days (the launch of the add on of WoW which will drain some people of the server).

There is tons of guilds in the same situation, unable to go in WvW in daytime.. That’s why you have a zerg of pick up at daytime on the server. And that’s probably why there’s more “night-timers” that it should be.

Personnally, if i was 20 years old, student or unemployed, i would maybe play at night in WvW with my friends, instead of being in a queue, or being in WvW with 1/6 of people i use to play with.

But i’m not.

Want to make people unable to go WvW during the night ? It would be the death sentence of many guilds because hundreds of players would be add to daytime queue.
At least it would be the death of many alliances cause some guilds would migrate on an other server, others would not.

Want to add us on US rotation ? Guess your brothers from America would be happy to have our daytime bus on their territories while they sleep.

Of course we could change server.. But what a pain to leave the server u began to live for, the friends in other guilds etc.. I guess we can wait a few more weeks to figure it out. And i’m pretty sure lot’s of people wait for the VS or GW2 hype to go down, to take such a decision.

In my opinion, those things will fix when people bored from the game will leave it. Right now, there is just too many WvW dedicated people on VS.. It’s not about hypothetic canadians (how could hundreds quebecois go on a specific server without leaving a trace on a forum before the release ? There is just no source of the presence of so much french canadians on the server).
