TraitChanges will destroy Glamourbuilds

Anet said, to report when Builds arent playable anymore after the changes, but Glamourbuild are one of those.
Yes, i know Glamourbuilds are not the best. But they are fun.

With the new Specialisation changes however i will not be able to play those anymore, because you removed or changed the traits that made those possible.

1: Dazzling Glamours got removed. This in conjunction with Blinding Befuddlement instantly applied confusion to enemies you casted Glamours on.

But more importantly
2: You changed Confusing Enchantments to Temporal Enchanter. Confusing Enchantments made the build what it was and tons of fun, especially in WvW where you could apply small amounts of confusion to a whole zerg.

Your reasoning for changing confusion to super speed was, because it didnt feel intuitive for glamours. However Super Speed is not better in that regard and boring on top of that.
Lets go trough all Glamours:
1. Timewarp: While it is true you do not want to cast this on enemies, you also do not want to leave it either so super speed is rather wasted, considering you wont use this in PvP.

2. Veil: Here superspeed without a doubt fits perfectly. However i think it is boring, because with superspeed it will just do what it does better. There is no change in playstyle or interesting plays. You will still just put it in front of your Zerg. With confusion you could lure your opponent through it for more confusion or use it as area denial.

3: Nullfield: While Nullfield is great when used on allies, it is even better when used on enemies. Why? There are way better condi-removals, but for boonremoval there are far fewer options. Therefore confusion is also better used on here.

And last
4: Feedback: This has to be used on an enemy and thus superspeed would often be wasted. Just like Superspeed fits Veil perfectly, confusion fits feedback perfectly(because it atleast applies 2 Stacks).

So please reconsider especially the change to Confusing Enchantments/Temporal Enchanter.

Thanks for reading

The autotarget and crafting improvements would be nice, but what is really necessary is better itembuy from vendor and open-all. Those clicks are so annoying. Just remembering the old times of orrian jewelry boxes makes me feel the pain in my hand…

Problem of the so called quick and dirty way

Think about invisible walls. Personally I hate them. It’s like developers cheating. Same for non-existing objects (so object without collision-detection). They are in many ways game breaking and simply annoying when you try to jump somewhere but it’s not possible because there is an invisible wall in the way or the item you jump on is not really there making you fall to your death.

They also take you right out of the immersion of the game. However when you as game-designer want to close of an area they is the harder way, make sure nobody can get there by making the ground higher of putting a fence in the way and so on, and there is a easy way. Just throw in an invisible wall and be done with it.

I think invisible walls are a good thing. Otherwise big steep hills would be everywhere and that would look awful. And if you just dont implement something to go behind maps everyone would think “man, thats ugly”. So i dont think you can really call this quick and dirty. Rather its just the best solution.

One thing i agree with you however is the AI. With new bosses they dont use high Hp that much anymore, but just introduce some complicated mechanic. At first this seems hard, but in the end it will always result in the same tactics aslong as the AI remains as bad.
For example: Why are ranged enemies never trying to get out of meleerange and never evade AoEs? Why have some npc the ability to dodge, but dodge randomly instead of dodging big attacks? They are not human, use that fact. The AI is also one of the reasons no roles exist. If NPCs would start evading and moving more intelligently control would be a new key role in order to be able to dmg them. This would also make support better, as killing and stacking would be less effective and now supports are needed to survive.
AI is a Key Problem in GW2 right now and i hope they will fix it someday. It would massivly improve the game!

Use Towncloths in Minigames

One thing that annoys me is, that you use normal PvP gear in Minigames(like Sanctum Sprint etc.). While the free PvP-armor you got trough achievementchests helped, it doesnt make sense that you use PvP-Armor in Minigames that give PvE-Rewards.

Another thing is that Towncloth are rather useless in their current state. I rarely see someone use them, and why should you with your hard earned armor looking better. While i bought some myself, it feels like something is lacking.

So I suggest playing MiniGames with Towncloths. This would help everyone, as you dont need to invest in sPvP to acquire a look, giving Towncloths finally some use and would even benefit Anet as more people would buy towncloths.
Also this would distinguish Minigames more from PvP and PvE with completly different looks as a game in a game.

What are your thoughts about Towncloths and Minigame-cosmetics?

Got no reward in Sanctum Sprint

Im not sure if its really a bug, as it seems intended, but it is definitly annoying.
Today i joined Sanctum Sprint for my dailies. As Usual, i joined a game that already began. Despite that, i got first place.
However i then get a text: Due to your late start this is counted as practice round and you get no reward.
And so i got no end reward and no dailies. But why? I got in later and still got to the goal and even was first and didnt get rewarded!? Two days ago this was no problem, only today.

So is this really intended? I dont see the sense in that.

Server: Seafarer`s Rest
Guild : Fearful Beacon Intelligence
I created a guild, but have only the right “Edit Ranks”, even so i am the leader. I cant upgrade anything, kick or change ranks of other members. The only way i could make my friend a officer, was that i invited him and set Officer as rank for new members.
I created the Guild one week ago and thought it would change after a few days, but the problem still exist and it is frustrating.

Who agrees that mesmer needs more work regarding PvE?

I think he’s referring to the fact that in any sort of group setting in PvE, your illusions are pretty much useless. Unless there’s 1 boss to fight, there’s no point in using an illusion on a target because it dies so quickly.

At least, if you have the 5 points for less illusion cd and improved weapon trait the cd is so low you can use it for every mop just like every other skill.
Or you can use your shatter skills even when you have just one clone to get the kill even quicker(or activate disortion). The first attack of a phantasm is the moment you summon it, so if you use chaosstorm you can also activate a phantasm(and these phantasm do some crazy dmg)
Example: I once hit an enemy with a staff attack for 80 dmg, the phantasm dealt around 800 oO

On the flip side a rapid shatter build is rubbish against strong single targets.

With traits you can enhance this build to a confusion build with glamour skills that blind and confuse. These blinds are really effektive in PvE as the mobs attack so slow and the mob recieves a lot of dmg for that…

I also have no problems at all in PvE. Currently i use a greatsword/mantra build with great success, killing mobs fast and safe.
Before i used a zepter build with glamour abilities that blind and confuse. As the first two shatter skills are aoe this build can easily kill several mobs at once while reducing the dmg to a minimum. Only drawback is the slow killingspeed. Even if confusion can deal over 2000 k dmg, PvE Mobs attack just too slow :/

One great advantage of the mesmer is the Illusion which can tank all the dmg, especially as you have stealth to lose all aggro yourself(and carry it over to Illusions)
If you have a scepter you often have already a new illusion, when the old dies, so you never get aggro
