I could also use a comparison to World in Conflict which I played a lot. and on that basis say GW2 matches last exactly as long as they should, and you are only frustrated – I do not know why. and why are you attacking us here lol.

Also, I do know what Crysis 2 is. I also know that there aren’t any professional leagues in Crysis 2, and that it’s multiplayer will probly die soon if it isn’t dead already.

It is not about if we have time to play 30 minutes – it is a question of if we would like to spent as much time on 1 map. this is exhausting, Let me assume your strategy – in World in Conflict, maps lasted 20 minutes and sometimes even that was hard in the long run to keep focus and do everything a planned. Especially in leagues like ESL. To have fun on… oh wait, maybe you forgot, RANDOM ARENAS in sPVP with RANDOM PEOPLE – we need variety. And the 10 mins is just enough to keep RANDOM PEOPLE going.

plus. ANet said some time age (few days?) that there WILL BE OPTIONS to create rooms with your own rules. Wait for the update and then play against some other people who enjoy 10 hrs map game – go for it, none of my bussines.

About the post, it is kinda weird a lvl 1 becoming 80 and able to kill real 80s. Sure is for new players.

A pvp for low levels doesn’t actually seems alright, since it’s sooooo easy to level up, why bothering on pvp at lvl 10, 20, 30, 40… when you can easily get level 80 and unlock everything.

dude if you can’t play with a warrior in pvp then change class. Warriors are really awesome. Good damage, good survivability, tons of utility skills to counter CC, the warrior can do it all, I suggest you change your starting traits and armor runes XD

So please make us a video tutorial about warriors and their awesome survivability in spvp.
Oh and please do not edit the video, record a full game where you are the top player!

I don’t have to….look for Taugrim in youtube and look at his videos, he is a lot more pro than me…or just read your utility and traits and make a good build that makes sense don’t just drop abilities into slots…

Don’t you just love how people explain everything but when you think juuuuust a little bit you will notice: Wait! sPVP is a team vs team, there are no 1v1s.

If the thief is on cloak, tag the next target and hope not to die. That’s the “tactic” of spvp. Pray to survive until your whole team come and help you.

You probably never played Crysis 2 or don’t even know what it is. Ok I will explain why I used that game as part of my text.
I made a comparison to Crysis 2 online system because it’s similar to the armor that the game has. It is a very powerful suit (or armor as you are used to) that increases strength, you can cloak too and run faster. All that amazing power given to you but you are only allowed to use it 10min per round! Just like with Spvp.
Understand now? (please don’t comment that I cannot compare a fps game to mmorpg ok? I’m not stupid ok? ok!) Ok hope you get my point by now!

About the time, we should have some options. Maybe you don’t like a 30min game (respect who does), maybe you don’t have time to play for 30min, well there are who has. Maybe you prefer 4.5 hours in a dungeon but not 30 or more min in pvp.

And, Sir. if this wasn’t enough for ya, sorry you are in the wrong place: “You are with your team, losing or winning, having fun. You die, you take 20 freaking seconds to respawn, then when you find the enemy group, puff, game is over!”

Ok you may not like 30min of spvp games but you may like WvW and all the walking, dying and then walking again and I respect that.
Again, if you don’t like 30 min game or more, there are people who does like.
As I said to the kid before, we should have OPTIONS. The same way we have OPTIONS to choose a server/game in spvp we could have OPTIONS to go long lasting games, short games or whatever. Good? good!

Also, I’ve not seen a 20sec respawn. It’s usually 2-6sec. Most I’ve seen was 8

People come here to “complain” because they want improvement in the game, some may think like I do about the game but they don’t actually bother coming here to tell their side of the story.

Elementalists are actually fairly weak in terms of actual control. Warriors have a lot of hard control and stability, which are extremely useful in stomping, preventing stomping, ressing, and preventing ressing.

They also counter Gaurdian point control.

All classes are completely unbalanced.
I play warrior too, lvl 80. And the only way to survive in spvp is by stacking with defense, since we wear Cloth (Light Armor covered with silver paint that looks like Plate).

Only build I found good for spvp is 2h Mace, Traits on Defense and HP, runes of thoughness and vit. Other than that you won’t survive 3 shots.
I love using a greatsword, but you won’t go too far using that in Gw2. They are slow attacks, slow dmg, Rush doesnt stun the target (which should) and 100blades is 100% avoidable.
Double axe some say its ok, but what about the ones that don’t like them?
Classes are pretty much FORCED to use specific weapons to be able to enjoy Gw2.

Ok you give us top gears and runes. A good pvp system but then you make it 10 min gaming? OK I know its 15 but games don’t last that long since you experts give us 500 points to deal with!

Have any of the developers actually played the game? When I mean play I don’t mean 2 hours play test, happy happy joy joy and then go home and swim in money! I mean play like we all do.

I know the WHOLE game is unbalanced but at least give us time to enjoy the spvp.
The whole point of spvp at the moment is hopeless!

You are with your team, losing or winning, having fun. You die, you take 20 freaking seconds to respawn, then when you find the enemy group, puff, game is over!
Where’s the fun on that? Did it come in the game box? Because I can’t find it anywhere!
Has anyone ever played Crysis 2 once in life? It’s exactly the same, they give you a super gear, but you are only allowed to use it for 10 min.

Gw2 is a great game, but seriously need better management and open arms for players comments.
