Does it matter. Im glad SoR gets 6 weeks of bruising. Its why many of us are in tier 1 servers, its why Mag was so keen to get into gold league – for the non stop fights. I dont care if JQ or BG wins. I only care that im not bored when i log on. I also dont think those ‘easy’ weeks will be such a roll over. I hope the tier 2 servers 2v1 all the tier 1’s when they get a chance.

Blackgate has been at the top of the NA pile for a while now, even after losing X amount of merc last week, BG still beat JQ by 30K. After complaining JQ was stacked.
For some of the BG posters on here – they act like chicken little.
You dont have to win everyweek, its ok to come 2nd once in a while. The world will continue to turn.

Ive been quite happy with this matchup so far, it hasnt been a blow out and the score have been close enough to keep me interested. It certainly seems we have one of the closer tiers and each server seems to get its moment of glory during the 24hrs.
Thankyou to all 3 servers for providing me at least plenty of entertainment.

The KN WvW guilds put in long hours during the weekend because if we didnt our score wouldnt be what it is right now.

Maybe y’all should play for fun and let the Population Balancing Machine match you against people that can casually play at equal hours?

putting in crazy hours is just going to burn people out. We may have the heart to want to be better, but we no longer have the coverage. Guilds putting in unreasonable hours will just end in more transfers.

Was an epic fight to take back hills. Both sides showed plenty of tenacity in attack and defence. Not sure yet wether I like the arrow cart change. It’s certainly made taking a well defended structure much more interesting, better than just face smashing into doors until they fall off their hinges.
Didn’t see much of yaks, but good job to all mags and kain I played with today. Have fun

Id just like to say – im actual impressed with Mag’s forum warriors. They seem to have mellowed since we fought them on our way up and actually seem reasonable now.

Im also happy we dropped tiers, i couldn’t play on resets cus of queues so stopped playing weeks ago – now im happy to be back and able to log in, on any map when i want.

The worst thing about this match up has been the lack of bunzy posts. I’ve been an avid fan for weeks, I read the mag matchup posts just for your posts.

yeah, i don’t understand why peeps continue to cheat. They must get caught in the end and banned. But still every match up has its cheaters.
Why pay for a game, then cheat to win some small victory, then get banned.

I don’t know why so many nonKorean Kaineng people are so boastful. There’s a running joke that Kaineng is “Carried by Koreans.”

If I had realized their oceanic crew was korean, I might have transferred before the paid transfer started. I might still transfer just to have people to chat with in korean again.

The night crew isnt all koreans, there are also alot of chinese and some europeans.
I think WM is Korean and SoS is chinese (SoS is probably the biggest guild on Kaineng but they also do lots of PVE).

yeah we have roamers. We just roam in a group of 30+

I dont understand the spawn camp thing – i dont do it personally. We complain we are bored and want a fight but then try and stop the other server coming out to play.

The other side of that is – each spawn area has 3 exits. Ive never seen a camp with all 3 exits covered yet. But most people will continue to run straight out the front door and into the seige.

If your being spawn camped – use another exit and take the supply camps while the enemy manpower is toying around outside your base.

Looks like BP just passed DR in points again. Maybe the grudge match is off for now.

if you stand back and take a look at the predicted server points come reset. Then although Mag are going to win this battle – BP and DR are taking a bite out of their server rating. Ultimatley meaning that Mag is being locked into this tier.
The only likely change to happen shortly is the arrival of Kain who may upset the apple cart and cause 1 of these 4 servers to bounce between tier 6 and 5.
Strategically MAG is loosing ground, BP and DR are gaining

A bump for the thread, FC are are real pain in the kitten in wvw – and thats a compliment.

That’s it, i’m done with wvw for this week. We have 25 people defending DB in our BL with about 70+ GoM attacking DB 3 trebs hitting it and another group killing everyone coming back into DB. Plus another couple groups taking everything else while we are here. And on top of that You guys are completely leaving SF alone. So have fun with your insane amounts of people on all day. I’ll wait for a balanced match because this isn’t even fun anymore.

Im sorry to say, you might wanna make that a 2 week PVEcation. It looks like Kaineng are coming to this tier next week and probably SF going down.
If thats the case then expect a VERY uneven fight for both servers left.
On the plus side – they may only be passing through like DR.
The likelyhood after that is that NSP,AR or DH will be in your tier. At the moment they also still have good numbers.
I reckon last weeks match was probably the most balanced your going to get for a while.

I had heard the same thing, but who knows all I do know is when sbi had their orbs hacked it got insta fixed, up until then anet didn’t seem to care about it

Stick with it – unfortunately, every server has this issue and it is usually the newer transfers that do it and tarnish the whole community

let me understand this – you want lots of wvw guilds to gather on a tier 8 server and stomp all the way to tier 1 whilst unbalancing as many upper tier servers as possible.. A noble cause indeed.
You may want to consider that the server you choose – may have other ideas. Some like being in the lower tiers.
It doesnt sound very exciting. If you really want a challenge just move your guild to a lower tier server that is already being stomped – and be helpful

Well take 5-8 camps kill 20 dolyaks 5 sentrys, ninja a keep on the opposite side of the map and kill 30-50 players while you stand with 20 people and fight over one keep for an hour…thanks for all your serious support.

The zerg is the battering ram, tying up the other servers zerg and attacking entrenched positions – because a 5man team isn’t going to take a well fortified and partially defended keep.
The small mans are the commandos, the scalpel
the soloists are the scouts, relaying important info, being a nuisance.
All 3 are needed. I may have over simplified that – but it makes sense to me.
I have a pretty good kill ratio, i aint gonna pretend to be a skillful individual player. My strentgh lies in supporting the mid to large groups.
Alot of the time if im running here or there on my own and run into a thief or mesmer, i sigh – give it my best shot and wait to die. I also enjoy running flat over these guys and getting revenge when im in a train of pain. Ive yet to see a small group own a zerg – i here alot about it (fc used to constantly tell us how great they were at this), ive just not experienced it.

Kaineng. But im from Devona so their can be no other choice.

They always gave us a good fight both on the battlefield and in the forums.

When we left tier 8 we were a high pop server, now i think we are very high. Lots of no guild transfers and i think some small guilds came with us from kain and fc. I’m sure i remember a couple of the guilds on the opposite side of the wire when we were in tier8.
No big guilds have joined.
We just have a very active wvwvw player base.

I kinda feel bad for all 3 servers, et and fc are simply not gonna get a look in now. Kain, whilst I’d like to see you guys move up – ultimately dominating tier 8 24/7 won’t matter. What matters is the performance of the tier above you. If that fight remains even (as it has been all week) then non of those servers will drop enough points to unleash the dragon from tier 8. I forecast a very boring few weeks for tier8.
Dr was only able to escape because the tier above became unbalanced enough for et to drop.
I guess the current rank system can create some very balanced matches which are fun for those involved, but can also roadblock and keep imbalance in other tiers.

What a sad day for our server. This is not what the vast majority of dr are about, I can only assume it’s recent bandwagoners (not knowing the details of those involved).

Hope we can all just get back to what was one of our most enjoyable dust ups to date.

Well this went down hill quick. Welcome back everyone, to many shandy’s and sore heads I think.

Been having a good time myself, we almost had all of eb earlier, just couldn’t quite take the inner door of nsp keep. Logged off for a few hours to do some rl stuff, came back and nsp had all but our keep. Anvil made a surge later but ran into a brick wall in dr bl so went to smash nsp bl instead.

I don’t understand all this solo, 5man or Zerg kitten talk. A good healthy servers needs all 3 and a good commander will use the strengths of those assetts to dominate the battlefield. If you wanna 5man all day, be my guest – however it isn’t smallmanpvp so don’t cry if everyone else doesn’t share your view.

Its ok, let them keep thinking we just mindlessly zerg. Every server we have faced think this – we havent lost now in a long time.
Maybe its just numbers – maybe we are actually doing something right.
And we are learning quickly.

DR are a tough fight, but I’m enjoying their lack of tactical ingenuity backed up by sheer numbers and a Red keep.

@StormWolf If had had not stated that it was two of your players I could possibly agree with you. I never said anything about the server in general. What would make you assume I said all of Devona hacks? Why so defensive? I CLEARLY stated two players and the guild in which the one that was guilded was in, the other was not. What you do with the info is up to you. You want these folks on your server, that’s up to you, all I can do is report it. But getting immediately defensive after quoting what I said doesn’t tell me you are the kind that actively reports it, you may be, you may have just misread what I typed.

Just as a point of note – stormwolf isnt from DR. That one of our old foes, comes to our defence (somewhat) speaks volumes about our server and levels of exploiting. Weve been called many things – but not exploiters. I believe NO server condones this behaviour and NO server is free of the curse. Im sure if evidence is sent to morningstar he will act accordingly.
