Hey let’s implement the kittentiest thing from GW1:
Unlocking skills.
Good job, Arenanet has finally become completely useless and abandoned the one thing that made them a good company. Completely pointless decision.
You want me to change my password, but when I do I either get the message saying that the password might be blacklisted, or nothing happens at all. It doesn’t work, and I don’t get any e-mails confirming that I changed or anything. What now?
I go to my account and it tells me to change password. I then input my old password and then a new one and click save changes. The input boxes become empty and the “you need to change password” box comes up again and nothing has happened.
@nosleepdemon
You are correct, I just assumed people actually said WvW and not PvP when they meant WvW.
My bad.
Warriors are not “fine”, we completely rely on frenzy to kill stuff which completely kittens our builds, running shouts or anything other than frenzy and bulls charge (in pretty much any build that isn’t trying to be some kind of useless buffer/supporter) just kittens you to hell.
ATM I think Frenzy, Bulls Charge, Endure Pain and Fear Me are the only good warrior skills. Bolas are alright, but to use them you either have to kitten your survivability, mobility/damage or your burst capability. Some people pick balanced stance, but I think that’s pretty kittening kitten as you’re better off picking another class or having another class in your team with better stability options instead of the most useless stability skill in the game.
All Signets are useless, all shouts except fear me are useless because they don’t offer enough for what you sacrifice, half of the stances are useless, stomp and kick are pretty pointless in PvP compared to the other options. Banners are total crap because they also force you to run some kind of support build that hardly heal or give siginificant buffs anyway, and if you run more than one banner you’re once again kittening your build, because the heal doesn’t apply faster, you just get longer stacks of regen. Running banners also force you to get healing or else your healing is completely pointless, which even more kittens your damage output, which in turn makes you useless. What are you gonna do? Run around and throw bolas at people and apply vulnerability with your rifle? Knockdown people with your hammer? All of this is more effective as glass cannon, and everything support warriors can do, Guardians can do much better. Same goes for point holding.
And yes, my entire post is focused on PvP. I think most of the clashing on the forums are because people are arguing from PvE and PvP standpoints without mentioning it.
I’m glad that Elementalists finally got a decent downed state, but compared to their survivability (which is really good unless you suck), I think vapor form is way too kittening good and I was hoping that this wasn’t going to be the way they fixed it.
Well, time to never stomp elementalists ever again.
You’re right, rangers were kind of ignored in gw1, they were one of the strongest classes through the entire span of the game. Your point being?
I sure hope the fix to camera smoothing is REMOVING IT COMPLETELY.
Magic find as a mechanic is completely pointless. So to get items, I have to kitten my character and play the game in a less enjoyable fashion? Yeah that makes sense.
I always hated Diablo for this stat and I got kind of mad when I saw it in GW2, because I thought the devs had more sense than that.
Luckily I mainly play PvP, but I just wanted to express how incredibly stupid I think having this mechanic is.
Thing is everyone who wants items (read: everyone, period), will probably run magic find gear, which makes the stat pointless and they could remove it completely and just up the drop rates so that people who dont want their character to be kitten can actually play the game without feeling that they are destroying their income.

OP has some valid points, otherwise I just see a thread full of bads and whining.
Personally I think spectator mode like in gw1 is one of the most important features to implement, as right now you can’t really tell what went wrong, and who is doing what wrong and stuff like that unless everyone in your team is recording their entire match.
Removing solo queues from premade tourney queues would remove a SIGNIFICANT amount of kitten teams and allow for more interesting tournament play, for both parties.
Oh, and if they ever remove downed state because of you whining kitten, I’ll officially kitten my pants with anger. But I honestly doubt they will remove an entire design feature from their game because some bads can’t stability stomp.
And class balance? Well kitten guys, some of you really have no idea what the classes can do and not do. If you just play 8v8 you have no clue, just none.
Personally I go accuracy and air, because the accuracy rune gives my abilities a 5% chance of doing double damage per activation.
While 5% more damage and 5% more crit with double damage on crit is the same thing when it comes to DPS, it’s not the same thing when it comes to bursting and having a higher probability of doing more damage per hit in shorter encounters.
If I’m running a 100% crit from invis build I might go force but probably not. Still want to be able to spam dancing dagger and tripple crit.
I use longbow with my 100b frenzy warrior. You can initiate with it and hopefully force people to waste a dodge or two because of your explosive shot. (Which crits för 3500-4000)
Tossing out a fire field in the middle of points and confirming immobilize into bulls charge frenzy 100b works very well for me. Besides, explosive shot crits for as much as eviscerate does. And having 5 s swap time really helps.
Personally I think rifle is weaker in this build at least. It only has volley and kill shot for damage, and they are both very easy to dodge. Especially after the enemy is aware of your position. On the other hand running a bolas – frenzy rifle warrior is hilarious.
If you use Leap of Faith with the greatsword, and during the animation switch weapon, the Leap cooldown will be around 3 seconds. This means that out of combat you can travel very quickly, and I don’t think this is intentional.
If you activate Cloak and Dagger and use Infiltrator’s Signet during the cast time, you will teleport to the target and become stealthed, but your character won’t get the whole translucent thing so you can’t tell that it worked except for the stealth buff you get.
(Might be just my computer)
Same thing applies to Shadowstep, but not to steal.
While running sigil of intelligence in PvP, being stealthed and swapping to daggers and activating Assassin’s Signet to backstab, the sigil of intelligence buff disappears and you don’t get the automatic crit.
Note: This ONLY happens if you are in range to attack by activating the signet, if you walk away, activate it and then go back and press backstab, the signet works.
That was the longest and kitteniest read I’ve had in a while.
Shatters work just fine, every single one of them are good and clones AND phantasms have such incredibly low cooldown that I don’t see the problem.
And I like how his entire post complains about there being lots of different ways to build mesmers. I’m sorry that Arenanet hasn’t managed to create clones that completely mimic human behavior. Shame on them.
How about you stop backpedaling and just stand there and autoattack with the same weapon as your clones for once?
Oh, and don’t represent your guild cause that’s a dead giveaway.

If you go into stealth and dodge roll through somebody and queue up backstab as a thief, backstab will just hit straight forward. But if you wait for a little bit, backstab will turn around and attack towards the target.
I want backstab to hit my target after a dodge.
Get a bow, stand on point, shoot downed person. You win.
You realize just hitting someone who is downed will cancel the heal, and make them die right?
I like boss stealing. If it didn’t exist having the bosses would be utterly pointless because you wouln’t be able to get both, because you cant split and out-dps a larger group just like that. Which would mean that both teams would just get the points. Useless.
I like it in PvE, I hate it in hot join, I like it in tournaments.
On the other hand I hate everything in hot join because 8v8 is stupid.
