Not saying it was. We have necro and runes of perplexity mainly to thank for that. My point is, that conditions are the best counter for it. It may not have been the cause, but a lot more people are running condition builds now. Pretty much all you see now are the stun build warriors and condition builds of every other class capable of running a viable condition build.
So what they should do is nerf Warrior CC builds (mace, hammer), so they’re all forced to go condition builds (which a lot already do).
Then they can finally get around to nerfing conditions.
All the other classes will go back to using their fun burst builds, while warriors stay in PvE where they belong. Everyone is happy.
I usually run 0/20/30/20/0 when I go d/p, and 0/30/30/10/0 for d/d.
Everyone has a different opinion on what is best though, some prefer p/d or s/d over the builds mentioned above. Personal preference at the end of the day. Although I feel d/p is an all around more complete weapon set, I enjoy roaming with d/d more.
An easy suggestion; thieves shouldn’t be able to heal while stealth. Allow regen boon & food ticks sure, but no healing. That, or lower their condition removal, 1 instead of 3 conditions removed.
If you’re referring to shadowstep, those three conditions are only removed when the thief ports back. If you’re talking about the stealth condition removal trait, that’s 1 condition every 3 seconds. It’s really nice when you’re d/p, but I wouldn’t consider thieves to be really strong in the condition removal department.
Although this would reduce the number of guaranteed stomps and chances to break stun, what do you think would be a good replacement for Dolyak signet in this build? Maybe Bolas for runners or CC chaining purposes?
Nice job on the video and build.
I wouldn’t take bolas, too unreliable at more than 300 units it seems, bull rush seems more reliable to close the gap quickly if you need to.
I like to imagine how disgusting this kind of build would be if Bull Charge was considered a stun. But I guess you’d still have to deal with the weird pathing issues.

I’m in the same boat as you, but with the Rox and Braham skins instead. I completely missed out on these because I just recently came back from a long break.
I’d really like a chance to get those skins on my 80’s.
Nice play, might try out this kind of build if I get tired of mace stun.
Props for putting Gang Starr in there btw.
You can tell there are lurkers on these forums who like to be really nasty in youtube comments…lol.
I don’t see what’s wrong with letting the man go completely glass and snipe some people, he’s not claiming to be some godly roamer who’s about to enter MLG.
I agree that it’s a really awkward ability, not something you want to use unless the enemy is already CC’d.
But it’s hard to explain, it just feels clunky.
I wouldn’t mind at least a pre-set template I can hot-swap to that changes gear, utilities, and trait build. Maybe have a little storage area in your character’s menu for the gear, so it doesn’t use up all of your regular inventory space.

Because of that please post here all your tested builds. Think would be nice for other people, either.
Because you cannot figure out a build on your own,and have to rely on using the builds from other people… ? And therefor thinking, that the people that bost these builds have the best builds..? The best builds arent being shared you know.
I doubt this. In pretty much every MMO the highly skilled players like to put up videos/streams with a link to their build, and I don’t see why GW2 would be any different. A secret society of pro players who only give their god-tier builds to friends seems unlikely.
As unlikely as that sounds, in the NA tPvP scene has a lot of players who hover around a ‘clic’.
They don’t share, they argue, they act childish. It’s unfortunately all to common.
It’s the player base size, there’s not a lot of tPvP players so people are keeping to themselves.
I’m not an expert of tPvP by any means, but you’d assume there’s only so much you can do with viable builds in this game when picking a certain role to play in your group.
I just can’t see players inventing builds that are so much better than the one’s that become available to the public by already skilled players. shrug

I just used this in a couple hot join matches, for some reason it feels a lot more fluid than hammer + sword/shield.
Never thought I’d be running around sPvP with a longbow…
I actually tried this awhile back. I just shelved the Warrior and made the Thief my main lol.
PvE = One of the best classes for it still.
sPvP = Almost worse than before, but that could be due to the condition changes.
WvW = Pretty decent depending on the build, was like that pre-patch though.
Can’t really say for sure if we’re worse off than before in terms of PvP, but it does feel like we’re all by ourselves at the bottom now.
I wouldn’t mind the prices as much if there was some type of cultural armor account unlock that you could pull from a collection.
