Looking for a guild that will focus on fractal and raid progression but I also like going around WvW and playing in sPvP.. I’m already in guilds that I have to juggle rep with so I’m just looking for a guild that doesn’t mind me only repping occasionally.
Any suggestions?
Edit: I’m not a hardcore elitist either, hence the casual tag in title. I play a reaper as my main on Tarnished Coast.

I’m a Valkyrie/Zerk Trinks reaper, using GS/Staff and shouts with Spite and Soul Reaping. I picked all the middle traits for my Reaper line. Working pretty great so far.
1. Necromancer
2. Elementalist
3. Thief
Or give the racial capitols mystic forges. That would be cool.
I believe until January 24th. I could be wrong.
I’m a berserker build and I do not approve of this. I have found that if I run a full zerker group I found in the LFG, it’s terrible because half the time the group wipes because someone doesn’t want to admit they don’t know the fights (Why would they? People kick for less.) and they don’t have enough defense to recover from mistakes.
Usually when I run dungeons, or fractals, with my guild we run with 3 or 4 berserkers and then the remaining are more “tanky” built people. We have a tanky shout guardian that sometimes runs with us, and one of our regulars is a cleric’s banner warrior. Yes, her damage is terrible. But the buffs she gives us, and the regen from each of her banners is more than “just a little”.
If recount is ever brought into Guild Wars 2, which I doubt, I’ll be very disappointed. I’m not worried about being kicked from groups, as I said my build is pure damage. But I don’t want even more elitist jerks in this game stroking their kittens.
That’s probably the most offensive thing I just read since I got up this morning. The OP just wanted to suggest a cool skin for the greatsword. Why would a legendary rainbow greatsword be a bad idea? We already have 3 legendary greatswords that look like “killer style” legendaries.
OP- I like this idea and I support it. Keep the ideas coming, maybe a dev will notice
I’d like an option where I could see when my friends and guildies log on or off, without having to also take all the spam from looting and salvaging. That’s basically it. I’m not saying change how Game Messages works, but maybe separate the loot messages from the status updates and make them two different checkboxes.
Sorry if this has been suggested before, the search bar for the forums is kinda weird.
I would love the ability to vote/rate upcoming changes, or even rate how I feel about changes already made. Even if ArenaNet were to go ahead with a change for balance when players didn’t like it, at least they would know how we feel and maybe try to compromise. This whole idea though is great, it would give us a better relationship with the devs.
I like this idea, but usually when I want to know more about something I just use the in-game command /wiki
I agree with this statement.
Signed.
There’s always someone who ruins it for everyone. Yeah, the deafening silence on this forum didn’t do it before. How will it be different if we go back to that . . . again?
Now excuse me. I’m going to shoot the hell out of some people and mobs while I still have frenzy and while longbow is still fun. Then, it’s back to short bow and its 2-10 damage.
Any mention of that bug getting hot-fixed? Naw. Working as intended.
What the actual kitten are you people smoking?
Shortbow with no power investment in PvP and WvW:
4/10
I like the concept. But I don’t like the idea of them being put into our trait window. If anything, let us save the builds at the trainer. That way we still have to go to the city and pay the fee to change builds. I don’t want to be expected to change my traits mid-dungeon for every boss. (If I wanted to do that, I’d play a different MMO where that is possible.)
Unbinding crystals would make the whole point of things being “Soul bound” completely null, unless they make these crystals something ridiculous like, say, 3000+ gems.
If anything, maybe make it so when you salvage a legendary you get the precursor and some rare mats from making it, that way you can get some profit.
That or.. you know, only make legendaries for characters you intend to play.
I have to agree with this. I hate buying abyss and celestial over and over
Full closed helmets that don’t make you look like a cyclops are hard to come by as well.
I see necromancers with these:
Offhand Axe- Because we have the mainhand already.
Greatsword- Single target, range 1200 to compliment our AOE 1200 ranged staff. Just don’t make it as stupid as mesmer greatsword.
Offhand Pistol- Because launching jagged horrors or exploding bone minions at people sounds awesome.
Crossbow- Just go with it. I don’t know why, I just really like the idea of dark shadowy arrows, it makes me think of dark lighters on charmed :INonexisting Weapons:
Scythe- Same thing as my theory for greatsword. Something 1200 range with more emphasis on single target damage.
Crossbow doesn’t exist in the game. So its not a real option. It is a weapon that could be used by a few professions. Primarily I see it being used by Thieves, Rangers, Engineer and Guardian. Not so much the Necromancer. The reason why is because a crossbow has been a weapon of assassination or the bane of some evil. Example: Helsing. Although it fits the Engineer, I feel they wouldn’t logically favor it over a gun, however they don’t have a power main hand weapon so it would fill a role their current weapons can’t fill. The Ranger would love it as its silent and doesn’t break their almost druid like code. The Thief would like it as they have strong roots with assassins. And the Guardian using it as a bane of evil weapon like mentioned above. Holy bolts sounds very cool in my opinion.
I don’t mean to completely derail your post but, I totally meant to say shortbow instead of crossbow. In my mind they are essentially the same, I mean aren’t there crossbow models for the shortbow ingame? I don’t play thief or ranger sooo..

I think players should be allowed to buy legendaries if they really want to, considering the amount of gold that they cost is hard enough to get as it is.
Could A/W work instead of D/W? Or is the dagger “1” that essential? For the build above.
Warriors have been flawless for a while. They were OP when I took a break.
Out of curiosity, what are the staff bugs? And are they really that bad? I want to play a staff power build..
Or am I better off doing something like dagger/scepter for berserker stats?
I already have a guardian! And a mesmer!
I’m coming back to the game after a few months of not playing.. Thinking about making a new character and I really like how necromancers look. But I keep seeing all these negative threads about necromancers. Are they really that bad? Or are people just QQing about L2P issues?
@The Sixteenth- That’s a really informative post, thank you! I think I’ll be rolling Necro! Before you posted I was definitely already thinking about it but now I just have even more reason to do it. I just have a quick question.
I forgot what the term bus meant.

Hello everyone! So, I’d label myself sort of a veteran. I’ve been on the GW2 bandwagon since news of it came out, I’ve played the betas, pre-purchased, so I understand the game mechanics and the lore and all that. I have two level 80s, one is a “healer” guardian, and the other is a berserker mesmer. I’ve been off GW2 for maybe the last 4 months or so, however. I want to come back, and I want to start something new. Maybe a human or a sylvari because I really enjoy their personal story, their aesthetics, and I like to roleplay with those races the most, particularly human.
With the new proposed class, I want to be able to be “viable” in end-game pve as either support or damage, preferably a mix of both. But I also want to be able to just hop in pvp and not feel kitten.
The classes I’ve been musing about playing are Necromancer, Elementalist, and maybe Thief. I might pick up where I left off on my Mesmer, though. On a secondary note, I’m also wondering about crafting and which crafts seem to be doing best right now as far as money making goes, if any.
So to recap, I’d like opinions for the above mentioned professions on:
1) End-game PVE
2) World vs World PVP / Structured PVP
3) Survivability as far as solo-play/farming/leveling goes
And 4) Crafting
