Yes, Poebel, that is it exactly! Thank you.
Once I’m down, I start punching buttons frantically, without really bothering to find out what they do. Good to know it’s not a bug (though it is irritating when you’re not expecting it).
I have an Asura Warrior with a weird problem. Anytime I come close to dying and then rally, I will regain full health and then suddenly die for no reason. This is not a case of conditions—bleeding or poison is not involved. Most often, I am not even fighting anything anymore when I abruptly die. It has happened many times and is kitten ably irritating. I’m fully healthy, and next thing I know, I’m dead.
I do not have this problem with any other of my characters.
That was quick. Thanks!
The topic title pretty much says it all.
One can first buy the Grandmaster manual at level 60 (after having applied the Adept and Master manuals) – but can a, say, level-80 character buy another Grandmaster manual and use it to redistribute his/her trait points?
Or is that even necessary to redistribute points? Is there some other way to do this?
That did it, Luis. Thanks! I wish I’d known it was that simple.
(I do not have the Magic Mouse and instead use a Logitech. I haven’t liked any of Apple’s mice since the Mac Plus.)
Thanks, guys – I found it right after posting this question.
It still seems to me it should be in one’s account info, though.
How do find which server I am on? I cannot find it anywhere in the account info.
The only issue I have with the Mac version is that the scroll button on the mouse does not zoom the view or the map (as it does in the Windows version). Has this been addressed? Is there some way that I can fix it myself?
I cannot access my Support Account using my user name and password. I tried resetting the password, but that didn’t work, nor did attempting to create a new Support Account. (“That e-mail already exists”…)
I tried to contact support because when I logged out yestereve, I had a two-handed great sword with a strength of 780 or thereabouts. When I logged in this afternoon, it had been replaced by a one-handed sword with a strength of 166. I’m sure I did not sell the great sword, and I’ve never seen this one-handed sword before.
Earlier today, I paid 1000 hard-won guild points to build a Guild Stash. It took my money and told me that it would take 48 hours.
But now there is nothing in the build queue, and nowhere else I’ve looked tells me that anything at all is happening.
Forest Spiders are good for this, as they are especially obvious in telegraphing their attack. Dodging just as they rear back got me the daily credit for this using just two spiders. (I had to kill the first when I rolled backward into a mob of them.)
I’ve noticed in several instances after completing heart quests that, although I could access the quest giver’s merchandise, I received no karma payment. I know that I once ran a string of at least four heart quests and got nothing in return for my efforts other than some filled-in hearts.
Unfortunately, I cannot say with which quests this occurred, although it was probably in Timberline Falls, Sparkfly Fen, and possibly a few in Mount Maelstrom.
We should be able to carry party members piggy-back.
I have never participated in a beta , so this question may be uninformed….
Will the leveling and gear and items I accumulate in the beta persist when it goes live or real or whatever betas do?
It runs fine on my vintage-2007 iMac under 10.6.8.
Your mileage may vary.
I took a chance and downloaded the beta (took about 14 hours[!] over my ISP connection) and can happily state that it works fine under 10.6.8 on a vintage 2007 iMac. This does not necessarily mean things will be hunky-dory on a MacBook, but the odds are good.
The only issue I have experienced is that the scroll button on the mouse has no effect (zooming the map, paging through pages in invetory, at al). As the scroll button’s functionality has alternative buttons in every case I’ve seen, that is a minor inconvenience at most.
(Incidentally, I am also running GW2 under Windows XP through Bootcamp on the same ancient iMac. No problems at all.)
Got it. Finally! There is an instance to Traveler’s Loft to the immediate left as you enter Hearth Hall.
(The instance to Knut Whitebear’s Loft is at the back of the hall on the lower floor, a set of doors guarded by two Wolfborn.)
Kitten? Some filter changed my ‘d*mned’ to ‘kitten’? LOL
(It could at least have preserved the spaces around it.)
Traveler’s Loft is the last ‘undiscovered point of interest’ I have in Hoelbrak. I have tried every approach I can think of but cannot reach it. Someone said that going through ‘the instance’ gives one access to it in the upper levels of Hunter’s Hearth, but the only instance in Hearth Hall I’ve found leads to Knut Whitebear’s Loft, which doesn’t connect to anything else.
Please help. I’ve explored everything else, and thatkitten‘97% completion’ on Hoelbrak sits there mocking me.
Stupid simple resolution to the problem. I foolishly thought where the login screen asks for ‘Account Name’, that it actually wanted my account name (rather than my e-mail address).
Thanks for the quick response.
I was hacked in the time it took me to enter my account name and e-mail and hit the ‘login’ button? Doesn’t seem likely.
In any case, what do I do now?

Installing Guild Wars 2 seemed to go all right, but I get an error message when I try to log into the game stating “The email address you entered was not found.” I got an e-mail confirming my registration of the game, so they clearly have my e-mail (and it works), so… Anybody have a clue what I try now?
