I’m sorry but its not a “l2p issue” at all…
I’ve changed my whole build and since yday, I’m winning 95% of the fights and necros aren’t a problem anymore.
I have just dropped my GS and picked up a hammer, which I find kinda sad since Anet wants us to use cetain weapons to be viable in PvP (use Hammer or you’ll suck hard..).
So its not skill related..just weapons.

Hi, I Run a SS/B spec, best way is with the BOW burst skill and #3 combo…then focus on Necro, pressure him, then AOE combo again with bow…you’ll be amazed how fast they fall once the minions are down…stay out of the red circles, that helps also :-)

I’ve tried everything against that class…but so far I still cannot kill them, especially when they summon all of their army and just sit there..some times I even find a few of them who don’t even bother dodging my attacks.
And when I manage to land a full 100b it just tickles them that’s ridiculous lol.
How do you guys counter that class in Spvp?

Totally agree, mesmers and necros with their summons are way too adventaged if we use this kind of targeting system.

Idk…I think it’s pretty unfair to the teams who lost because of 4 v 5.

If your internet is unstable, you should probably stick to hotjoins.

It wasn’t a 4v5 match since I’ve been dissconnected in the last 30 secs or something and still it isn’t unfair since our team won even with a “4v5”.

That’s why I’m asking for a smart leaver punishment, like you don’t punish someone who leaves in the last 20 seconds even if his team is winning.

So I’m usually doing some TPvPs when I get back from the university, and since yesterday I’m having some Inet problems (dissconnects for like 2 minutes and then works again).
As I said I had this problem since 2 days, I’ve been dissconected from a TPvP match yesterday which was about to end, and when I logged in again I wanted to join another match but I noticed that I couldn’t due to a debuff “Dishonorable”.

It did last for something like 10 hours or less. Anyway I played again and ironicly I had another dissconnect just when the game was about to end and I had such cool stats…

I logged in again, this time I got a 1Day 20 hours penalty…so now I’m kinda stuck and can’t do what I like in this game.

There should be a smart system that prevents these kind of punishments, let’s be logic :
Imagine you have top stats, your team is winning 450-260 on battle of kyhlo, you can hardly think of leaving on purpose…that would just be dumb right ?

Are WvW battles still populated :>?

I just came back to the game after a long break (real life business) and I wanted to start all over by creating a new char.
Surprisingly the server population doesn’t seem to decrease ! as I joined I saw that almost every server has a High/Very High population and that’s really nice =).

One thing Shocked me though ,as I was leveling and reached level 5 I wanted to buy a weapon, but kitten prices are so high O.o!

Since I stopped in May/June I guess I missed many updates and nerfs/boosts , how are Warriors now xD?

So as the title says, if you guys are planning to make this an Esport we must get rewards for winning tourneys or simple spvp games
Adding Gold or Gems rewards would just be perfect , so that everybody can rent a server and practice with friends.
What do you think about this guys ?

Those changes are just awesome and I think it would get warrior’s some powers for PvP, and btw banners are just useless in PvP , every warrior will agree.

But let’s face it , do you really think Anet will do all of those changes ? I don’t think so ,here are 2 reasons :
-Some random warrios will come and tell you get some skills instead of QQ (because for them warrior is just like any other class and balanced) while we all know that Warriors are way underpowered.
-Anet will never do those changes because it takes time/work, and since you asked for a Warrior F2 (which I really want too..) some other classes will come crying too like theif who has an F1 only and thus , bringing more work to Anet.

nope you’re not over thinking it , traits are worthless and this proffession was designed to be a PvE one , 100b is just useless and if u compare it to mesmer’s F skill (forgot which slot it is but its similar to 100b + an invulnerable effect) its just non sense

Yeah daily became way too long without any improvement in the Reward side , Players leaving tourneys is an issue which exists from the first day
thats why I made this topic…

Not really sure if Anet is reading players complains , but there are Tons of things to take care of atm (AFKers/leavers from Tourneys , dodge queing , Map rotation and Random Map selection for tourneys ,Spvp not rewarding ext ext…)

Yet I didn’t see any answer from the team , are players alone here ?

As it is now i can spec for the map which adds a tactical component to the game. If the map choice was random that would be taken away.

I do see your point that it gets repetetive though.

Don’t forget that you’ve got 2 mins to change build/weapons/equipment before the match starts.

Oh how silly of us , killing people after a match is ending or before it starts , hmm yeah you right we are barbarians ! we have no civizm at all !

Seriously , go back to hellokity or smth like that if you don’t like PvP, even in CS they warm up like that , so…

Well…tpvp became so boring months ago…now we already are on a different level, something that after 3-4 matches makes you ask yourself why the kitten are you still going tpvp since it’s not fun, at all…problem is that there’s no answer…

problem is that its not rewarding too , I remember someone did the calculations and said that from rank 79 to 80 u have to play for 6 months (if you get 4k points per day) but anyway that’s another problem..

I don’t know about you guys , but Tpvp became so boring , I mean we play in the same map for smth like a whole week and it doesn’t change.

There’s no map rotation or map changing every 3 hours or smth , no diversity at all and its the only way to get some good rank points and chests.

What do you think ? shouldn’t Anet do something about it ?

are you serious dude ? you’re complaining yet you’re playing one of the strongest class after the patch (ele yes), yet you want more power ?

I joined solo queue this morning and found in the other team 4 eles + 1 necro
guess who won ? with a 500-200ish score…in a 3v2 we could’t do kitten against those eles…and they ended up winning most of fights with almost full health everytime

Thx for sharing your build , I’m a warrior and I started playing just recently , I’ve been using GS/LB since my first day finding it the most viable too but my build is abit different from yours.

But I noticed something in your build , since it uses Bow’s F1 alot (which uses up all adrenaline) is it still wise to keep “Berserker’s Power” and “Heightened Focus” (STR , V and Disc V) ?

I’m an Esport lover who played many Esport games and participated in many high lvls tournaments (CS , wc3 , LoL ) and I bought GW2 thinking it would be the same but I clearly was wrong.
In this game since release people can leave Tournaments and not getting punished , while Anet team is aware of this (hopefully) they are not taking action.
This just shows why GW2 won’t be an Esport because they are not taking care of it , Hopefully I’m wrong and today’s patch will fix it but if it stays as it is , it won’t become an Esport thats for sure.

I agree LoL has it , but Riot are taking actions by banning those kind of players.

I’ve done 5 games early today and 3 of them lost , why ?
AFKers…
almost every game we get a guy or 2 afking and trolling , this is unacceptable I tried to report him but I see no “AFK in a tourney” or anything like that option so I just reported him as a bot

How can this game become competitive when it doesn’t even punish AFKers ?
Also what amases me is that its like this since the first day of the game as I’ve heared…you can just leave a game and leave your team in a 4v5 and login again after like 10 mins

here come’s an advice from a competitive player : do not start a warrior , or delete it…
I bought gw2 cuz I thought it was a competitive game and skill based , and I’ve been creating warriors in every mmo i played , but here its just a big disapointment

here’s whats a warrior : OP in PvE , by far the weakest class in PvP , the total opposite of the class I wanted in the begining, I’ve created a warrior and now I’m regreating it

the only viable builds I see so far (when I see a warrior , cuz nowdays good luck finding even one in S/Tpvp) are GS/LB or GS/AxeShield

Let’s hope April’s patch bring a good balance and some love to warriors cuz I don’t feel like playing Mesmer or D/D ele just cuz they are by far the strongest class in SPvP

yes sorry mursie for not mentionning my class , I’m playing as a warr and I’m not using a berserker jewel (edit: using soldier’s amulet actually) still I die pretty fast against guardians
do you think it is normal for a class to have a 20 sec poison ? that’s just non sense especially if you have no condition removal skill in your bar :/

Hi , I’ve been gw2 for quite a while now and today I went to do some tpvp here’s the opposing team
warr/guardian/ele/guardian/engi

the guardians being immortal , I decided to target only the other ones , starting by the engi , we fought him 2v1 he died and I had like 8k hp left , But his 20 sec ++ poison downed me near the flag and then came the warr to finish me off…

How can a class have a 20 sec poison ? this is unfair , its like he has enough time to be killed and come back finish you off while you’re downed…

also how can Guardians be immortals while doing tons of dmg ? I remember we were 3 guys hitting those guardians , they seemed to be full hp the entire fight while we were dying so fast

I just don’t understand all of this…I bought gw2 cuz I thought PvP would be fun , competitive and balanced , but its none of the above ! its not fun anymore seeing only 4 classes / 8 being played , its not fun fight OP classes (usually when one goes for defence , he sacrifices his offensive power but its not happening in this game with those guardians…) not to mention D/D Ele who can kill pretty fast too while having tons of heals/immunity spells

btw Psybunny why are skills slots 123 missing in the build , when I swap weapon its missing , what kind of weapon is that ? dual wielding sword ?

So I bought GW2 2 days ago , since I Really like pvp in every game I ofc liked GW2 pvp , but still..I’m getting owned !
I tried a 2h sword , thing is I cannot use Hundred blades on ennemies since its way too easy to predict it and dodge
so I decided to switch to Dual wielding axes , I think I’m doing well but still very hard , I can barely kill ennemies while some theifs and others are killing us 2v1 , 3v1

Can you guys suggest me a good weapon ? I’m using a bow as a sweaping weapon
