We’re on the lookout for many more people who want to get involved in some WvW. We just expanded our weekly schedule to two official WvW nights per week, and we really want to fill out the ranks with more people really enjoy running around in the borderlands and melting faces while capturing points.

Another night of guild missions complete and we’re edging ever closer to unlocking more fun stuff! We’re also revising our weekly schedule to ensure that we have plenty of great activities for us all to do together because gaming alone can get quite boring. With the Super Adventure Box finally opening up to everyone, we’ve had a number of groups be pretty successful in there so far. We’re also taking feedback from the community on how to better schedule our activities to ensure that there are plenty of things going on to keep our members entertained. Is your guild excelling in every aspect of the game from WvW, to dungeons, to guild missions? No? Well perhaps it’s time to check out Malum Factum.

Malum Factum is SO much more than just another guild in one game. Malum Factum is a large community that spans many games. Outside of the games, the members have become friends, and some have even come to regard each other as extended family. Such a great group of guys and gals to chat with, and even more fun when there’s a game to play with these great people.

You do realize that there are more patches coming this weekend and I’m sure there will be plenty more changes in these patches. Deleting a character is a mistake. Now one day you’ll create a ranger again and kick yourself for ever deleting your old one.

Alright, I just wanted to post in here saying that I have found a community that I will call home. I appreciate all of the messages I’ve gotten and if for some reason it doesn’t workout with Malum Factum, I’ll post in this thread again and begin the search again but for now it seems like I’ve found the right guild. Thanks again for all of the interest and good luck to all of you in your recruiting.

Even more great options. I’m a bit overwhelmed now. I wasn’t really expecting such a huge turnout. I’ve got a lot of thinking to do.

Awesome. I’ve got some great options already. Now to consider them and speak with some of you guys to get a better feel for the attitude/personality of the guild. Thanks for contacting me so quickly to those of you that did, and those that haven’t yet, no final decision has been made as of the time of this posting.

Also a waste of a feat in my opinion, but it’s an option.

There have already been posts from some of the devs that say there will be fixes/adjustments/etc. that come with the patch(es) for and during the event. Promises of some possibly major changes to the Ranger being the most notable that I’ve seen.

There is also a feat that removes conditions when you dodge roll.

As the title suggests, I want more than just a guild to play with. I’m looking for an online community of mature, like-minded individuals who aren’t afraid of a little obscene humor. I don’t censor myself when I speak, either on voice comms or in guild chat, so if you’re easily offended, you and I most likely will not get along. I play around peak times from the EST timezone, so I’d prefer a guild that plays during the same time. I’ve been a hardcore gamer for almost my entire life and have been playing GW2 since before launch.

I’ve got a long history with MMO’s, most notably being that I ran a guild in GW1 for over a year, we focused on PvP and GvG and were ranked several times throughout the year. We later merged with another guild and focused almost primarily on GvG. Since then I’ve played just about every big release MMO and had a great time being the PvP leader for one of the top 3 legions in Aion on the server where we played. Due to some drama, those guilds/legions/communities have all but disbanded and I’m looking for a new place to call home. I tried creating my own guild on the Gate of Madness server, but have realized that due to time limitations that I do not have the time to actually run a guild and have let that fall to the wayside while I enjoy the game with the time I have.

I’m an easy going guy who enjoys every facet of the game, and I’m just as happy running dungeons as I am clearing zones in PvE and I’m more than happy to sPvP and WvW when I feel like having more of a challenge. I prefer Vent over TeamSpeak, but willing to use either. I’d also like a guild that communicates in guild chat as well since sometimes I just don’t feel like having my headset on every second while I’m playing if I’m just running around by myself clearing zones or running events, etc. I currently have an 80 ranger (main), 80 ele, 80 thief, and ~65 warrior. I’ve also got a couple of other characters that are below level 10.

If you feel that I might be a good fit and able to contribute to the overall success of the guild, then drop me a line either in game or on these forums and we’ll discuss the goals of the guild and the community backing it and go from there.

You can also choose to use ranged pets during boss events to avoid them from being one shot by big AOE damage. Other than that, I’d say send in a polar bear, as mine cankittennear survive anything. Sometimes I think he’s indestructible.

Ranged attacks are also trajectory based, so if you as a “melee” character are constantly changing direction and moving throughout the fight, you’re going to cause the “ranged” characters to miss you more often. I’m going to agree with Porkchops here, you need to get better and combat awareness and movement are two things that are incredibly important when pvp combat isn’t just about standing still hitting button number 1 until something dies. Combat in MMO’s has evolved into something that requires a lot more action on your part if you have any chance of being competitive. Learn to adapt to the situations, make use of boons and conditions, swap weapons, dodge, take every opportunity to gain the upper hand on someone and you’ll have a lot more fun in pvp because you’ll win fights more often.

ArenaNet has a history of asymmetrical armor sets. If you look at most of the armor sets from GW1, you’ll see that they’re usually not symmetrical. I also don’t think they’re going to change their item models because some people prefer to have everything perfectly symmetrical. It looks like you’ll just have to deal with it, or find another armor set that does have symmetrical shoulders.

Unidentified Gray Dye (Rare) could increase your chances just because it will only yield rare dyes from the “Gray” hue set. They can be crafted by chefs at rank 400 using 50 walnut, 50 black bean, 25 coriander seed, and 25 orrian truffle. Tons of mats for only a chance at one, but it might end up cheaper than the trading post.

Dagger can be equipped in either hand for a necro, so just equip the scepter in the main hand, and the dagger in the offhand.

As the title says, we are currently recruiting. We’re a small group of friends who have played together through a few different MMO’s over the years and have landed in GW2 and are looking to fill out our ranks a bit more with some mature, dedicated people to get us all up and running. Our goal is to do a bit of everything, PvE/PvP/WvW, and have a drama-free, fun time doing so.
